Just moved to Georgetown from out of state a few weeks ago and we loved our previous electrician. We were nervous to have to find a new honest and reliable company. Luckily we called Cool Ray and will never do business with anyone else ever again. James has come out for a few projects now and is like the nicest guy ever. He helped install our Tesla charger and it cost us over $1000 less than some of the other quotes we got. Requesting an appointment is easy and the service is timely. Highly recommended 11/10. Thanks Cool Ray

Hire this business! Friendly, affordable, honest, know their stuff. They were 15 min early to appointment and responded quickly. They could have easily charged me so much more and I would have paid and never known better. Their focus is on the job and honesty. It’s refreshing to see a business with great morality and honest work. I cannot express how amazing their service was - been in CP for 20 years - I’ve never seen better service.

Cool Ray installed a dedicated 120V-30A circuit with conduit and a NEMA 5-30 outlet for a sauna. They were fast, professional, and did a great job. We have also had them do various smaller electrical work over the years. We are very happy with their service, and will definitely call upon them again when we have more electrical work.

Cool Ray Electric in Cedar Park is outstanding! James arrived on time, delivered top-notch work, and fixed everything perfectly. The quality was exceptional, and I couldn’t be happier—highly recommend!

I hired Cool Ray Electric to install a NEMA outlet for my EV on June 30, along with paying for the required permit and inspection. The installation had some issues, including the technician forgetting materials and cutting a hole in the drywall in the wrong location, which left damage that wasn’t repaired. I also had to follow up several times regarding the permit and inspection, which took much longer than expected.

The inspection eventually passed, and Marty mentioned he knew someone who could repair the drywall, but I never heard any follow-up on that after the inspector came. The work functions as intended, but the delays, miscommunication, and unresolved drywall damage made the overall experience disappointing.

Cool Ray was very easy to work with! We had a bad breaker that they diagnosed and repaired in the same visit at no additional cost (manufacturer recall), and gave us peace of mind for a few anxious-new-homeowner concerns about what ended up to be user error overloading circuits with (not so) small kitchen appliances, haha. They were able to test the outlets to confirm they worked as expected and suggest which outlets we could use (and which would likely trip) simultaneously. Very knowledgeable and friendly team, highly recommend!

I highly recommend Cool Ray Electric! Cool Ray did some extensive work at my house, including 2 full panel replacements and replacing all 240 aluminum circuits with new copper wiring, proper disconnects, and outlets where needed. All I can say is wow, these guys really exceeded my expectations.

James and Chase are friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and respectful. James paid extra attention to the details for me and really went above and beyond to make sure everything was installed nicely, up to code, and up to my standards. James was happy to answer any questions that I had and never made me feel like I was bothering him.

Finding good contractors like this is hard! I moved from Houston last year where I had a list of contractors that I loved, so finding a company that I trust is important to me. I google searched for hours, probably talked to 6 different companies, and got 3 different quotes. Some guys never called back, one was outrageously priced, and one guy I just didn’t get a good feeling from.

Cool Ray checks all the boxes: reasonably priced, great work, and friendly, honest employees! Thank you James, Chase, Marty, and Donna!

I just had Cool Ray out to run some wiring and install a junction box for my indoor sauna. The workmanship was great, no damage to any walls, the work crew was professional, and the scheduling was very easy. I'm very pleased with the work done, well worth the money and a great local small business. Highly recommend Cool Ray for any of your home electrical needs!

They had some parts I needed and couldn't find ANYWHERE else. And, they didn't gouge me either!

To be fair, they are slow as molasses. And that's being fair. Didn't have half the products we came to buy. And I dont mean half the items item by item, I mean 10 of 30 outlets, or 3 or 7 switches. Normal everyday stuff. Spec home materials.

As a contractor it is hard to find good service from vendors you dont deal with consistently. From my initial phone call with these guys, to my time at the actual shop, to them picking up materials and delivering same day- I was blown away by their service. Extremely satisfied with the service! Will definitely be back.

We recently met Ross and Brandy at a Home Show and immediately knew we were going to work with them. Not only are they awesome people, but they do fantastic work. We own a small contractor business and always need reliable electricians. After 7 years of hunting for someone we could trust, we finally found Peaches Electrical and couldn't be happier. We brought them in to add some electrical to our latest installation and the process was seamless. They communicated every detail with us and the client, always showed up on time and got the job done quickly and perfectly. I will be using them for all of my future projects!

We hired Austin's Texas Electrical Services of Austin TECL #29127. One part of this was installing an outdoor outlet, which requires running a conduit. For this they used a flex conduit and to hold the flex conduit outdoor-rated fasteners need to be used. This was clearly not the case, as there is corrosion and rust clearly visible on the fasteners that were used to hold the conduit (see pictures). I'm sure of this because we also had conduit installed by another electrical contractor for another purpose on a similar exterior wall on the other side of the house that has zero corrosion on it. I reached out to them several times over the span of 4 weeks regarding this, and didn't hear back once.

I also specifically remember that the person sent out to do the work was very rude and difficult to work with. This was particularly relevant for hanging a chandelier, since it ended up crooked and he didn't ask for feedback until after he had already taken down his scaffolding, and wasn't willing to put it back up. So to this day we still have a misaligned chandelier.

Cost isn't all that matters. For what this level of quality you're better off either learning to DIY, or paying more to hire a better company if you want everything done right and good customer service.

    EDIT:
Now also finding out the metal box isn't grounded and that the outlet used for my install isn't rated for an outdoor install, both of which are against code and a shock hazard,
