Good irrigation & sod companies are hard to find. Matehuala Landscaping & Irrigation did an outstanding job for us. Quality work, on time and final cost was below their estimate. David was a pleasure to work with.

David Matehuala is very professional and trustworthy. He designed and created a pad and drainage system to put my tiny house on. In addition to that he helped me design a patio as well as other landscaping projects. I can’t say enough positive things about Matehuala Landscape. They know what they are talking about and will do an excellent job. I highly recommend this company.

Called on a Friday to see if they could help with regrading. I talked to David who said, "oh yeah we do regrading. Send me pictures of the property where you're needing it done and I'll get back with you tomorrow (Saturday)." I said "okay great" and I sent him the pictures. I wanted to use this company because they had such great reviews and SEEMED to have decent customer service. It's been two weeks and I haven't heard back from him yet. I've tried to check in but I get no response. That's not how you run a successful business.

We did a new back yard in sod for my daughter. Excellent service, and competitive pricing. Worked with us on several changes for the best out come for a healthy lawn. We would recommend and will use his lawn care/healthy lawn service in the future.

David and his crew did an excellent job on my new sprinkler addition. He was very responsive and made sure everything was exactly as I wanted. I will definitely use him again.

Amazing service and beautiful work! Speedy service as well. My backyard is more private now and safer for my kids. I got a new fence and a concrete pad, which my kids immediately got chalk out and started drawing on . They love it and I love it. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend for your fence/concrete needs.

David responded on the same day to fix a huge leak we had on our front lawn. He was great at keeping us up-to-date as things changed with the issue. He also Fixed another leak on a different location on our lawn. He gave options in terms of doing a quick fix or a long-term fix so that we will not see the issue for at least a couple years. It was great to have someone explain how these leaks happen in the first place. The only feedback I have is that when I attempted to pay with card I was given an error by all the options available on the link provided. Also I wish the invoice would have been more detailed.

These guys are amazing. We had concrete work and pergola built in our back yard. The irrigation system and sod replaced. Their professional crew came in and not only rerouted the irrigation but also made sure the existing irrigation for sides and front were working properly. Honestly, it works better than before.
If you need anything from these guys, do not hesitate to call.

We had a fantastic experience with David at Matehuala Landscape and Irrigation. After having our backyard torn apart by a pool installation, David came in and made it look better than new by fixing the irrigation system, and installing new sod and trees. David is the kind of guy who says what he does and does what he says. You can expect quality work and a high level of customer service. If you are in need of landscaping services, look no further.

Unfortunately, this is the only platform I have to vent my frustration with working with Matehuala. I can't speak to how they perform because I couldn't ever get them to generate a quote for me. I can speak to their professionalism. I would rate them as unprofessional. I called them and set up an initial consultation. They asked me to text and remind them about the appointment. They DID show up to review my irrigation system, but never gave me a proposal. I called and followed up. They promised to get me the proposal by the end of the week (5 days after the consult). They never delivered it. I contacted them and let them know and got no response. I suggest trying somewhere else if you need the work to actually get done.

Communication was on point and at the end made sure we were happy! Thank you David.

David installed a new control panel for my home irrigation system, and I am very pleased with everything. He showed up early for the scheduled installation, and explained in an easy to understand way every detail of how the control panel (and my irrigation system) works. David was very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Matehuala Landscape & Irrigation is the best, and I highly recommend them.

After finally braking down and adding a sprinkler system to our yard we needed someone affordable, but also someone who does quality work. Matehuala Landscaping certainly fit the bill. We couldn’t be happier with quality work and the timeliness of the service. I would recommend them wholeheartedly!

We selected David's company because they were local (Celina) and a small business. We are EXTREMELY pleased with the work they performed.

When we moved into this house 6 years ago the yards were not i good shape. In fact they were terrible. The front was more dirt than grass partially due to large neighbors trees. In the back yard the previous owners had an above ground pool and it was dug into the sloping yard. In February 2020 we added a 14x29 porch to the back of our home (T1 Roofing Co.) then David came in and over about 4-5 weeks completely transformed our front and back yards. About 9 dump trucks full of dirt were hauled in to terraform our back and front yards. They installed a new backflow prevention device, sprinkler system front and back yards, drip system for the flower beds and new controller and valves. The back was sodded with Zoysia and the front with St. Augustine. You can see by the pictures how beautiful the yards are now are now.

David has returned numerous times to check on the system and make sure the system is watering properly.

We give Matehuala Landscape an A++ and would highly recommend them.

David’s team were excellent, and did some major work on my backyard when the pool builder cut the main water line and controller wires. David was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and gave helpful advice on an approach for the fix. The work was finished top notch and I would use him again.

We had a pool built and we were left with the mess of fixing sprinklers, French drains, put the fence, etc. David and his team were here and took care of EVERYTHING! And did an amazing job, took their time making sure everything was done right and look right!! If you need someone taking care of landscaping issues and irrigation? He is your guys!! Huge shoutout to Rose and Two Thorns Landscaping! I contacted three companies, and they were the first to respond and the first to come out. I had already checked their reviews beforehand, and they lived up to every one of them.

Joel is incredibly knowledgeable, easy to work with, and never pushy. They resodded my front yard, aerated and treated the side yard and street grass, trimmed my trees, and adjusted my sprinklers so everything gets the right amount of water. They finished everything in just three days and kept me updated the whole time.

His pricing is extremely reasonable for the amount of work they did!

My yard looks amazing. I’m so happy with their work that I’m bringing them back to landscape the backyard next. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.
