I had a leak in an AC evaporator coil. My usual guys wanted an arm and leg to supply and install a new one. Reliable came to the rescue with a good quote over the phone. It took a couple of days to source the new unit, then Beto and his helper did a phenomenal job of installation, refill of refrigerants and commissioning all within 21/2 hrs highly recommend Reliable Air & Heat

The system that was just serviced was not turning on. The original service company was not available. I knew the thermostat was probably bad, and the capacitor had just been replaced. The refrigerant levels were checked, and the line was blown clean. So I just needed them to make sure it was just the thermostat. They proceeded to offer me a thermostat for $965 and a new capacitor for $200, as well as wanting to add more refrigerant and blow out my drain lines. Needless to say, I did not agree to this, but I did let them replace the capacitor as I felt bad since they drove all the way here. As he completed, I was told my refrigerant level was fine, but it was a valve that was the issue. Interesting that this was not brought up earlier.

Too much cost and upsell, and honestly, really weird vibes from the worker as well as not being very friendly. Will not use again, look elsewhere.

After reading the response, I felt the need to edit and respond. I had another service company come out and take a look without any bias from me. They replaced my thermostat and checked all levels for a total with thermostat of $175. The room is cooling nicely, and Mark, the technician, was a pleasure to work with. Perhaps I caught Reliable on a bad day, but I would urge others to try and find a more personable and price-conscious alternative.

Robert with Reliable Air and Heat was a pleasure to work with. We called on a Saturday morning and he was at our house within 1.5 hours. He let us know what time he would arrive and messaged us when he was on the way. Once he arrived Robert got right to work and resolved our problem very quickly. He explained everything he was doing and informed us of the cost before he did anything. Robert was a polite and consummate professional and I would highly recommend him and Reliable air and Heat.

Our home AC unit stopped cooling recently. We had a technician from another company come out and look at it. He thought the indoor coil was leaking coolant. He said he could try to get a replacement coil and install it or he suggested we consider replacing the entire unit. We decided to get a second opinion. We called Reliable Air & Heat. They sent out a technician the same day. The technician was polite and very thorough in analyzing the problem. He did a leak detection test. He found NO coolant leaks in the indoor coil but found several leaks in the outdoor coir. He suggested we go with a new AC unit. The price he quoted seemed reasonable so we went with a new unit. The company sent out three installers the next day in the late afternoon and they installed the new unit the same day. The men were polite and seemed to work efficiently. I reviewed their work after they left. Their work looked professionally done as to be expected. From our experience we would highly recommend Reliable Air and Heat for all your AC and heating needs.

We noticed our AC was not blowing cold air. I called Reliable Air for service and we received a repairman within several hours. The unit was good but the capacitor needed replacing . We asked for both units to be serviced and the repairman found a tear in the ductwork in the attic. He gave us an estimate and completed both repairs immediately! We appreciate the prompt and professional service.

Manuel, Windy,... THE ENTIRE STAFF are all wonderful. I have had zero issues with their service and products since becoming their customer in 2018 when I bought the worst house in a great neighborhood. 👍 recommend 10 outta 10!!

I used this company because they were very professional,.from the minute I called for an estimate until they left after installation. Robert the owner came out to my house to give me an estimate. He was not pushy and was very COVID-19 aware. He wore a mask and when he entered my house he put covers on his shoes. His company is very tech savvy and up to date with all the new systems. Update on April 25, 2024. Late last night, my air conditioning unit downstairs wouldn’t work. I called Reliable Air and Heat. They promptly came out this morning and diagnosed the problem. The problem was not the air conditioner, but the module on my generator that controls load monitoring. The module was bad and that this is something that happens after a few years when you have a generator. They rewired the air conditioner directly and now my air conditioning works. You can trust Reliable Air & Heat for doing a great job and diagnosing the problem correctly. If you need air conditioners or air conditioning repair, you need to call Reliable Air & Heat. I’ve called my generator company to repair or replace the module.

This team is top notch. I’ve been working with the owner for over 15 years and trust him completely. He’s grown and expanded, but the team is all professional and realistic. We had Manuel out today who helped with a damper issue. We bought the maintenance plan that allowed a discount on today’s invoice and will keep us with peace of mind in the future. Highly recommend!

Full system change out, from my old but still functional 1996 SEER10 to American Standard Variable Speed Heat Pump 18SEER2 with two stage gas backup. Regarding the unit itself, wow! The technology and efficiency improvement is crazy. Regarding Reliable Air and Heat, Wow, even more! Great communication including text confirmations of appointment, text communication of "we are on the way". Plus they were very timely. From the first call for a quote (I already had a competitive quote), their service was absolute perfection. Sales team came out asked me what I wanted to accomplish as I requested a new system and not a repair. Looked at everything I had, took measurements of the house then suggested a couple options. They told me my system was oversized and recommended dropping from a 5T to a 4T, adding some extra returns as my returns were undersized for even a 4T unit. I accepted the bid Friday and they were here Monday morning for the install. Everything from the disconnect to the flue pipe was replaced. The installation crew, Jimmy and Beto, were top notch. Worked from early morning to after dark on Monday. By this time it was starting to snow and too cold to fully charge the system, but I was good to go on gas heat. A few days later when our temperatures warmed up they came back, charged the system and did some more analysis on pressures. Robert said we still need more return so he increased the return size with larger ducting and bigger grilles until he was happy with pressures. They even increased the size of the work deck around my unit for better access. They centralized the filtration to a large 4" unit so I don't need four filters for the returns. Reliable Air and Heat was a referral from a neighbor. They exceeded my expectations in every aspect, and the new system does its job silently and efficiently. I'm also a licensed electrician and know how much power my old system used. My old blower was single speed and pulled nearly 10A. The new blower on 100% pulls about 1/2 the power until the temperature in my house stabilizes then slows down to about 0.5A. The old unit had a 135A in-rush on start up. The new one has no in-rush allowing the system to be operated with a small 220v generator rather than a whole home unit. The old condenser unit would pull about 20A running. The new one highest I've seen hovers around 17A but typically I see it bracketing 5A once the temperature in the house stabilizes. Good job everyone!

Highly recommend Reliable Heat and Air. Found them through a neighbor’s recommendation and they were able to come out on a Saturday morning (AC unit was dying on Friday) and get a new unit installed on Monday. Robert was so helpful with guiding us on which unit to choose but also keep costs reasonable. His team that installed was reliable, professional and kind. And Robert checked in on the back end to make sure everything went smoothly. Very responsive. Very happy we went with them and positive experience from start to finish!

Extremely fast response and the tech arrived when they said they would be here. They even scheduled the most convenient time for me.

The tech, Manuel, was very knowledgeable and explained everything so that it was understandable and not too complicated.

We love Jason LaFitte and his team of professionals!! LaFitte installed our HVAC system a few years ago and it has worked perfectly. However, the AC abruptly stopped cooling at the end of day yesterday. I texted Jason about 7pm and he replied that someone was on the way. Shortly after that Jaxon was here to diagnose the problem - the compressor motor had stopped working. Jaxon told me it was still under manufacturer warranty and they would pick up a replacement the next day. Jaxon called me early the next day and told me the supplier would have our motor available for pickup by 11am. At 1pm Charles was here to install the new motor and shortly thereafter the cool air was flowing again. We are so grateful for their fast and courteous service! Most companies would not come out at 8pm to diagnose or repair your AC. They understand how important it is to health and happiness to have the AC running. We highly recommend LaFitte HVAC LLC for any repairs or installations!

I am completely satisfied with the service I received from LaFitte HVAC. The technicians looked at my heating system and made repairs so that my heating should now evenly heat upstairs and downstairs without the upstairs getting very hot. They explained what they found and corrected and did sone additional maintenance. I will call LaFitte HVAC for all my HVAC service needs.
