I called Palomino Plumbing because I had a part break on my shower knob which resulted in constant water flow. I called Palomino after I was able to turn the water off to the house myself. Their receptionist was polite and they were quick to show up to my house. Their technician was also very polite. It took about 2 hours for them to fix the part. Towards the end, they noticed a part of the knob needed to finish the job was missing. This part was actually kind of important because it kept the knob from just continually spinning. The technician said I could probably get the part online or at Home Depot. I hinted that maybe he could see if he could find it? So he left, tried a couple of different places but couldn’t find it. So instead of ordering the part (which ended up just being a $5 part online), he said I could order it and finish it pretty easy myself (again, he was super nice about this, but I feel like he should have finished it, especially for what he charged me). I was also surprised by the price. The part itself was under $100, but I was charged $540 (and that was discounted for being a first time customer).
So overall, I thought the people themselves were very nice and quick to respond. I thought the price was way too high for what it was and I was disappointed that the job wasn’t finished (and I didn’t get any additional discount for finishing it myself).

Well, I hate to write this review because Dustin is overall a good guy and a highly skilled plumber. However I feel consumers should know all sides and not just the positives. I was a huge fan referred him to all my friends etc. He did some small jobs for me like install a kitchen faucet and a check valve under the sink. BUT... He left the old turn valve and ice pick line connected (both were disconnected and unused) which caused a water leak and destroyed my under floor. I don't understand why he didn't suggest we remove it and left it connected to all the new plumbing that I paid him to install? Seems like he set this up to be another expensive service call. Why not just remove it from the bottom where it should have been cut and piped UP?

Also, he did quote me on a larger project and suggested I replace most the piping underneath the old house. He did do the inspection and gave me a written quote but at the time we were waiting on some other details from a remodel contractor to also connect a new bathroom to my house. I told him it would be some time before I could get back with him till the details were worked out. SO I call him up when I was ready to replace the pipes and was kept away by his GATEKEEPER office manager.. she will not let you speak to him directly even once you inform its about an existing quote w possible addons. SO I decided to go around her and contact him via email in which he returned my call only to tell me he would not honor his quote that his rates changed drastically.

Curious about the rate changes I asked him what it would cost to install a basic dishwasher/ disposal that was already purchased and his quote was $1329.25 considering home depot would do it for $200 that's a leap and I asked if he would consider working on his price or maybe gave me the wrong quote and basically just refused and no answered me after the reply.

So in my conclusion what was once a fair priced plumber has turned into another price gouging plumber who does not honor quotes nor make necessary recommendations on existing plumbing that would avoid more costly repairs. He seems to really be after the $99 service calls in hopes to lock you into thousands of repairs in his over inflated prices. ( see attached )

It took a lot of trouble shooting to figure out where the water was coming from but Chris and Dustin stuck with it! We are very happy with minimal damage and minimal cost.

I had an excellent experience with Palomino Plumbing from start to finish. Scheduling was easy, communication was clear, and the technician arrived on time and fully prepared. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained the solution in plain terms, and completed the work efficiently and professionally. The quality of the repair met my satisfaction. I was referred to Palomino Plumbing by a neighbor. I had a small annoying leak to the front water hydrant. They arrived on time and put a new washer on the facet and the facet still leaked so they put a whole new spigot assembly .They had to do minimal grinding/chiseling to mortar to access.
They were on the job for about an hour. The charge was $759.00. This was very excessive. Nice people but I will never use them again due to there ridiculous labor rate. The part cost was 29.99.

Very knowledgeable, cleaned up the area when done.

Palomino plumbing was fantastic! Had an issue with our toilet leaking and Jesse was able to come out within an hour of us calling and able to diagnose the issue and resolve our problem within an hour. They did a great job and I will 100% be using their services again in the future.

Dustin came out to the house and fixed a gas leak that wound up coming from several sources. He found them quickly and only had to cut a small piece from inside a cabinet that isn't visible from the outside to reach one of the leaks. He drove to the city to have an inspector come and approve of his work (about 4 minutes away) rather than call. In his experience, this was more likely to get an inspector out quickly and he was correct. The inspector was over to the house and done with the inspection in no more than a half hour after Dustin had completed his repairs. The work was clean, efficient, respectful of the property, very professional. The price was reasonable for the amount of work done and how quickly it was completed too. I'll be using Palomino plumbing again for future repairs.

Do you ever sometimes hire contractors and scratch your head once they show up wishing you hadn't called them in the first place??? I hear you & get it as this has happened to me more times than I count. ;(
But not with Dustin! Dustin is the best! Very professional, kind and respectful. He has come out 3X for me. Always patient with my endless questions & he always goes above & beyond. Today I had him check my water heater & while he was here, he knocked the ice off of my water stop & then used his wet/dry vac to suck up the water under the lid which will freeze come this weekend. He noticed my driveway was still covered with ice so he made some tracks for me on my driveway which has aided in the ice melting. He is a very knowledgeable plumber and believes in taking care of his customers. Thanks Dustin! I will call again!

I just had a new tankless water heater installed. Dustin and Carlos came out and they were amazing. Very professional and knowledgeable. They were so thorough and very detailed oriented. It's a complex job to do the installation to get rid of the old regular water heaters and retrofit the tankless to the specifications of our home. Everything went so smoothly. I could not be happier and was so pleased with the quality of work. I highly recommend Palomino Plumbing!
