I was worried about needing foundation repair so I reached out to Smart Home Repair to get an inspection and a quote expecting the worst. Chad Townley was knowledgeable and explained everything so I could understand it easily. From the beginning Chad was cordial, polite and on time for the appointment. I did not make my decision to use them at the time, but their service puts them in the running for one of my top choices.

Absolutely the best customer service! I reached out to have an inspection on a home I was planning to buy. It was done in a timely manner with a detailed report that helped us make our decision considering the cost for repairs. I definitely would recommend this company as I have seen their work and have all the confidence that they are top notch! I highly recommend them.

Very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Chad was responsive and polite and walked me through the needed repairs with multiple options. Andy and his crews were amazing! They arrived promptly at 8:00 a.m. and immediately began jack-hammering and digging. Their employees are the hardest-working bunch of guys I've ever seen. At one point I told the foreman, Andy, I couldn't believe how hard they were working but what a mess! Andy said "by the time we're done you won't even be able to tell we were here". I thought "Yeah right". When they were done, the guys starting raking the dirt clogs from our yard, washed down the stonework around the flower beds and the sidewalk. They then poured new concrete right in front of our front door. The guy went over it 3 or 4 times to make sure it was smooth and then brushed it so it wouldn't be slippery. Then they insisted on fixing some stepping stones in our side yard that they had to break up for a couple of piers. They even replanted some of my flowers! Sure enough, you could not tell that our whole yard was a disaster area earlier that day. I have already recommended Andy and Smart Foundation to several friends. Excellent job guys!

I cannot say enough great things about Smart Foundation, especially Melaina, Andy, and his entire crew. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding.

Andy was patient, professional, and very thorough in explaining the process. He answered all of my questions, set clear expectations, and even gave helpful tips—like waiting about 3 months before repairing the existing cracks inside the home. When they lifted the house, I was amazed to see how many of the inside and outside cracks closed up immediately!

What stood out most was Andy’s attention to detail and respect for my home. Every time he came inside, he removed his shoes without me even asking (that may have spoiled me—I’m thinking about making everyone do that now! 😄). He always let me know when he was leaving, came back before the expected time, introduced me to his team, and made sure I knew who to go to if I had questions while he was gone. The entire crew was professional, patient, and extremely respectful. They cleaned up everything and even went above and beyond—Andy suggested using extra dirt to help level out other areas of my property that could have caused issues later. That simple act showed how much they cared about doing the job right.

I also want to highlight how amazing Melaina was throughout this process. From the very beginning, after the initial FREE estimate, she was the first person I spoke to and immediately put my mind at ease. Even though we had a rough start dealing with delays from the City of Balch Springs inspections, she was patient, kept me updated, and handled everything with professionalism. She never made me feel worried, and once we got past that hurdle, everything went smoothly.

From the estimate to the final cleanup, I felt supported every step of the way. The entire team worked together seamlessly, never pressured me, and made what could have been a stressful process so much easier.

Outstanding experience from start to finish

I had an excellent experience with Smart Foundation Repair from the very first appointment through job completion and follow-up.

Scheduling the initial consultation was easy and prompt. The inspector arrived on time, was extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on with my foundation. I never felt pressured—just informed. They walked me through the recommended solution, answered all of my questions clearly, and provided a transparent, fair estimate.

On the day of the repair, the crew was professional, courteous, and efficient. They showed up on time, worked diligently, and treated my home with care and respect. The team clearly knew what they were doing and kept me updated throughout the process, which gave me a lot of confidence in the work being done.

The experience with Smart Foundation was great. I was a little nervous at first. In my mind I was thinking this is going to be a rip off. To my surprise, the salesman was not pushy are a fast-talker. He walked me through each phase, he let me explain what I thought the problem was. After he did the survey of the house. He gave me two quotes and let me decide what was best for me. Over all I am pleased, I highly recommend there businesses.

Herman and his team are fantastic! His team was very professional and they left my house spotless everyday that they worked. Very respectful. They helped us build out a wall and hang a barn door, it looks as if the house was built this way! Will definitely use again .

I recently had the pleasure of working with Hermann and his team for a second time. When water started dripping into my garage from the ceiling, I knew I needed serious help. Hermann's team discovered that the shower had been improperly built leading to a slow leak that ended up rotting the beams and joists below the shower and eventually coming through the ceiling below. They were able to provide a clear vision of what to expect during the repair work which included demo'ing and rebuilding the bathroom and garage ceiling. What truly stands out, and why I'll keep calling on the HG team, is that they're punctual, respectful and excellent at communicating what to expect during each phase of the project. That's super important considering the high stress of dealing with an unexpected mess like this. Speaking of messes, they left the work area spotless at the end of each day and the quality at the end of the project was fantastic! I would wholeheartedly recommend Hermann and team for any home reno needs!

I was referred to HG & Co and Herman from the Lakewood FB page for a new electronic gate installation. The process was as smooth as you could hope for. It started out with a site visit. He explained, in detail, what would need to take place (e.g. run a slab of concrete the length of the gate so I wouldn't have settling issues, trench and run electrical condiut, pour a small slab for the mechanical box to sit on, etc). I appreciated the detail he provided so that we were both aligned on the project.
Once we decided to move forward, the different crews were called in and each crew came on time and were incredibly polite and thorough. They were very forward-thinking in their approach. For example, they made sure the bottom track did not run the entire length of my driveway so that I can easily move the trash bins down to the street and back without having to haul them over the tracks AND so that my mother doesn't have a tripping hazard when walking down the driveway.
The gate is by far the crowning jewel of my house. I would 10/10 recommend!

We were very pleased with repairs from HG&Co. We needed to coordinate door frame repair, soffit repair, roof repair, and painting the repaired areas into one job. HG&Co managed this for us and came through with flying colors. I would recommend this company and will be using them again in the future.

HG&Co did a fantastic job for us! They replaced the tile in our kitchen and bonus room as well as added built ins! Everyone was extremely timely and communicated very well especially compared to other contractors we’ve worked with in the past.

We had an amazing experience with HG and Co.! We renovated our patio and added a bedroom for our daughter in an existing living room space. The HG and Co. team completed these improvements in a seamless fashion! The bedroom in particular was SO impressive to us! You cannot tell that it was not a part of our initial renovation four years prior. I only wish we had found HG and Co. sooner! We will never use anyone else for further work on our home!

Had the exterior of our home repainted and some places in our trim, soffits, and fascia boards replaced from rotting due to rainwater and poor upkeep from previous owners. We also had new gutters installed on the backside of our home. Everything was great! Herman and his crew listened to all of our concerns and did everything that was necessary plus gave us some feedback/options when it came to making decisions for repair and painting. Herman and his crew are excellent. I have used them for a total bathroom and closet remodel and for interior and exterior paint work. Herman is friendly and knowledgeable and has very competitive pricing. He and his crew are trustworthy and skilled. All around, I have had great experiences working with them.

Herman and the HG crew helped us completely remodel a house in Richardson, TX. It was a full-house, months-long project, replacing flooring and windows across the entire house, painting and repairing every wall in the house, and rebuilding a kitchen and three bathrooms. The house looks absolutely great now, and we couldn't imagine going through the process with anyone else.

From the initial walkthrough and all the way through the project, Herman was respectful of our needs and wishes, open and understanding when communicating with us, able to think outside the box and problem solve with us, and very professional and prompt when work started - personally there with the crew at the house most days of each week. He was able to help with the planning process, keep us to our budget, and his checklists meant we were all on the same page all the way through.

The work was well done, his crew was professional throughout, and we even had their help with several things that were outside the original scope of work. Work began quickly, and the project was completed ahead of schedule with the crew there at least 6 days a week getting things done quickly and thoroughly.

We are grateful for HG & Co. for their support and help, and for making the dream of a brand-new, customized house a reality. Thank you HG!

HG&Co replaced our roof, gutters, attic venting, and some other miscellaneous work. HG was very professional and up front from the very first visit. Replacing a roof/gutters due to hail storm and working with home insurance and roofing company can be very overwhelming. I felt a trust from HG right from the first meeting. Other roofers I interviewed, some I could tell told me not to worry about my deductible and other made it so confusing on how they price out the work and deal with the insurance company l felt lost and not confident. HG did everything they said they would do, very professional, great workmanship, and left the job site spotless! Great job!!

Herman and his team replaced two small windows in our home with large picture frame windows. We couldn't be happier with the results. It was a pleasure working with them. They set up plastic walls around the construction areas to prevent dust from getting all over the inside of our house. His team was courteous and professional at all times. Most importantly the results are clean, professional, and beautiful! I would recommend them for home renovation projects.

HG&Co helped me replace my roof and siding after the storms from last August. They are a great team to work with. Communication was great, trade teams were professional and courteous. Jade, Michael, Lydia, and David were easy to work with and were on top of every detail. Looking forward to working with them again in the future.
