I’m an introvert, but I actually gush when asked to talk about our many years with Gardens for Texas. When we asked for help to calm down the landscape on our small UP property, they listened, understood, and created a serene, organic garden that was shockingly affordable and is easy to maintain. And get this: they “visit” completed projects for years after—to make sure everything stays healthy, offering welcome counsel to prevent both plant loss and the expense of plan replacement. I grew up with this kind of service, which now seems rare. “The girls” (as we affectionate refer them) belong in a special, 6-star category.

Jamie and Sandra worked with me too get the plants that I wanted for my perennial bed in my front yard. It turned out beautiful, and they were very professional, as was their team of installers.

Gardens for Texas has been great to work with for our landscape needs. They are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Jamie is fantastic at what she does. I would highly recommend this company.

We have used Gardens for Texas for several of our yard projects over the past few years and they have each times delivered fantastic results. The crew shows up on time, works hard and does a marvelous job. Very professional company and bonus points for being women-owned!

I used this company in October 2021, and I originally gave them 5 stars although the communication wasn't great even through just getting quotes! I would NEVER recommend them now
They did not hold to our contract of guaranteeing our plants and shrubs for 4 months. After constant calls and emails requesting they come out to walk through what had died, they sent one guy with 6 shrubs which was only a portion of what has died. I was lucky to be home because I was able to catch him and he called Jamie. They took pictures so they could come back out but they have never come back. they covered my plumbing in my front beds even though they had a survey off our property and the pipes were very visible. The guys solution was to just move the rocks to a giant pile? They also worked with my sprinkler company and somehow still managed to puncture a Pipe along our artificial turf which has slowly leaked for a year and just now officially busted. I have called several times, sent emails, my husband has called. We have not had a returned call since April 2022. I deleted my original review because of you are reading this DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Jamie helped us out when we needed to get our landscaping refreshed for a wedding celebration. She made herself and her crew available on very short notice and managed to put some life and color back into our beds even though it was very early in the spring, and all at a very fair price. I highly recommend Gardens for Texas.

We had a great experience with Gardens for Texas! They were able to realize our vision of using existing stone to rework half of our front yard that we'd struggled with for years. The area was too shady and grass just didn't want to grow there. Gardens for Texas put in some wonderful shade-loving ground cover, a walkway, and even use the stone that was existing to create a matching border.

Once the job was completed, we realized that the stone border was encroaching on the property line and needed to be moved back. Jamie had her crew out the very next day to remedy the problem. What great service!

I recently moved into a new construction home and the back yard had no landscaping. GFT was fantastic. Jamie came up with a beautiful design based on my plant and hedge preferences. Gardens for Texas did a great job building beds in our backyard, putting in magnolia trees and plants. Adding plants and river stone rock to the front of our home. Gardens for Texas worked with us to fit the landscaping plan into our budget. The work was done quickly and looks beautiful. I would highly recommend this company!

From the layout to the plant suggestions to the sod types to drainage, Jamie and her crew were very helpful and informative. She even recommended a stamped concrete company for patios and irrigation company for sprinklers - all turned out amazing. I highly recommend Gardens for Texas. Jamie’s design was exactly what I was looking for with native, pollinator, low-water perennials. The install team was very professional and responsive, and went above and beyond to source particular plants. Their work is well worth the investment.

Just prior to having my yard redesigned, I contacted a company to install an irrigation system. Telling them about my yard plans, they recommended I use Gardens for Texas for the redesign and I’m so glad they did. Everything was coordinated flawlessly. Now I have the loveliest landscape in the neighborhood. Thanks to Jamie, Sandra and their team, there is a beautiful flagstone sitting area under a large Live Oak tree on the front of my home. From the front down the side to the back patio, there are colorful drought tolerant perennials and flowering shrubs that attract birds, bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. The flower beds are very large so Jamie put in a path from front to back that separates the planting areas. It is so serene to walk along the path or sit in the shade surrounded by such beauty. I’ve gotten many, many compliments from not only my neighbors but strangers walking or driving through the neighborhood. I’ve used Gardens for Texas more than once and will definitely use their services for any additional work.

I needed a French Drain installed in my yard to prevent continue flooding into my house. I contacted four companies. One company never came out to give me an estimate. The second company couldn't meet me on my schedule, so came by and left a poorly drawn diagram and a price on a piece of paper on my door. The third company met me and left a price, but did not seem very professional. Gardens forTexas came out at my convenience for a consultation. They made measurements, returned within a week with a drawing and proposal, and explained the design. They left a professionally typed bid at a competitive price. I hired Garden for Texas who showed up on the day they said and completed the work the next day as scheduled. I was very pleased with the work. You could hardly tell they were there. I would highly recommend this company which acted very professionally. By the way, the drain works GREAT!

We needed a complete overhaul of our front and back yard so we reached out to Gardens for Texas. Everything about the process was great. Jamie came and looked at our property and asked great questions about what we wanted, didn't want, etc. When her proposal came it was obvious that she had really listened to what we said because she included plants that I mentioned in passing from my childhood and also offered a couple of different options for the back part of our house. The team showed up exactly when they said they would and finished when they said they would. If we had questions, they were addressed immediately to our satisfaction. They also left the yard and house cleaner that it was when they got there. After everything was installed, we got detailed instructions for caring for my lawn. I can't say enough good things about Jamie, Sandra, Pilar and the rest of the GFT team.

Jamie and the team from Gardens For Texas took the plan developed by someone else and made it work. The plan was a challenge since it was not to scale and much of what was proposed was not possible Jamie took the plan, worked it over and 'voila' I had an amazing back yard. Now I am working on my side yards and front yard and she works within my budget and has created some amazing spaces. No job has been too small, she works within my budget . I will work with Gardens for Texas until the yard is completed.

From the small things such as showing up on time, cleaning up and assuring the gates are locked when they leave; to the big things like providing great designs and quality plants at a fair price they do it all.
