Constraction reviews in Dickinson, Texas

Stephen and his crew were fantastic. They remodeled both my bathrooms, one at a time. They stayed on budget, on time, and helped me with options and ideas to get the most out of the space I was working with.
This is the 2nd project I've had with Contender and they will be my first call for all my future projects!

The job was done quickly and efficiently. They took care of the flower beds and other items around the house.

Stephen is first, a gentleman. A kind and engaging young man. Knows his business, answered all my questions, even though they may not have been about the work being done. His business practices are a scale on par with any big business. I would refer him to anyone who might have a need for repairs, replacements, redos of any kind having to do with home construction, refurbish and replacements. He is the best!!

We had a bathroom remodeled. Mr. Box gave excellent service. He notified us when to expect subcontractors, and he came frequently to inspect progress. His subcontractors did a fine job and were personable and responsive to our requests.

Stephen did an exceptional job walking us through the options for a roof and steps for an insurance claim. He came highly recommended from our realtor and I can see why! The project was high quality and done quickly.

Our roof started leaking when we were hit with Beryl. Stephen was really prompt in responding to our request and giving us a reasonable and competitive estimate. We were very happy with him, his professionalism and the quality of the work.

Contender Construction is the best in the roofing business. I worked directly with Stephen on a full roof and partial gutter replacement . Great communication, exceptional work, and low prices! Would recommend to anyone needing roof work.

Working with Stephen and Contender was great. They were done in a day, cleaned up afterwards, and saved us a lot of money. The team was responsive and professional. I’ve used them on two roofing projects and a large remodel and highly recommend their services.

Contender Construction is an exceptional company for your home project no matter how big or small. Contender Construction is wonderful! Their attention to detail is impressive. Their team is professional, knowledgeable, and makes sure to address all concerns. I also appreciate their expertise in handling roof replacement and repairs— everything gets completed on time and within budget. Also highly recommend them for any remodeling needs!

I contacted Stephen on a referral from a family member and he was out right away to inspect my old roof and give an estimate for replacement. He gave a competitive bid against the other companies. But he also went above and beyond to provide some temp repairs, storms were forecast, while we considered all the bids and made our decision. We chose to work with Contender. They did a quality and timely job and clean up was great.
Stephen also suggested I tell my insurance agent about the new roof. By providing a copy of Contender’s project scope and paid invoice, the homeowner's carrier provided a substantial discount on my premium!

My roof looks great and it was done in one day. The roof was very old and had many layers that had to be removed. It was a lot of work. The staff was excellent. They worked very hard and diligently. Thank you very much Steven. I appreciate that you were here supervising everything and bringing the materials. Bravo!

Stephen was great as he provided no pressure bids and quality work. He provide a bid to replace my roof which was comparable to other quotes and stuck with it. He also provided bids for other items to bring exhaust pipes up to code and gutter replacement, basically a one stop shop. The work was excellent. Stephen stopped by often to check on the crew and after the work was completed to make sure that I was satisfied. I would recommend giving Stephen a call for any home repair or improvements.

Stephen Box and his team did a fantastic job replacing our roof for us. The job required some additional coordination with other contractors, and Stephen provided us with great counsel to ensure the project went to plan. We are grateful for his expertise, approach to partnership, and overall work product.

My wife and I used Contender when our homeowners insurance company threatened non-renewal due to the age of our roof. We worked with Stephen and he was very knowledgeable and kind. He and his crew completed the roof on our house and detached garage all in one day. For fast, quality work and a trustworthy foreman I would absolutely recommend Contender.

Stephen Box did a great job with my roof in Walnut Bend. Fair price, beautiful shingles and color. All completed in one day, and I have a very large roof.

Contender construction installed a new roof on my home earlier this week. The entire process was easy and hassle free and Stephen Box was great to work with. He responded to my calls and texts very promptly, he provided a quote when he said he would, he scheduled around my vacation and some weather, his crew showed up on time and were friendly, they did a great job cleaning up, and I couldn’t be happier with the finished roof. They were my lowest bid and they came highly recommended from people i work with. After the job was complete, Stephen provided the paperwork and forms necessary to get a discount from my insurance company. I would definitely go back to Contender Construction for any future work.

Stephen went above a beyond for us replacing our roof! He is so professional and also personal! He spent extra time with insurance and was able to get 8k more than another local company. We are so pleased with our roof!

Mr. Box was a great advocate for me during my fire loss claim of a workshop. Roofing, Framing, Painting, Electrical, Gutters and Flooring. Stephen Box is an extremely friendly person and will guide you through the process and will make good on any issues that may arise. Highly recommended. SJB

He and his crew came to a flip house on Monday, and completed the same day. They did an incredible job!
