Highly recommend Vanderford Air. They were professional and easy to work with from the ease of scheduling to the install. Shawn Lanmon came to diagnosis the issue and gave us options from least expensive repair to full replacement. He explained each option and what the expectations would be. The team that came out to complete the option that we choose were courteous , professional and had us up and running in no time.

Our tech was very prompt and courteous. He called to let me know when her would be here. Showed up on time. He fixed both our clogged toilet and our slow running sink very quickly & professionally. Would definitely call this company again for our plumbing needs!

Vanderford replaced my old system in 2021, it’s now 2025 and everything is still working great. Their pricing is competitive and their service is great. I highly recommend them.

Got a fall service special to make sure my unit's heating system was working correctly. The HVAC technician, Jacob, was the most thorough tech I've ever had. He patiently checked everything, both in the attic and outside to ensure the unit was working properly and efficiently. He explained what he was looking for and why. Extremely knowledgeable and communicative!

Matt was AWESOME! He came for a routine maintenance and pointed out things we did not see and brought to our attention that we had a leak. After figuring out it wasn't coming from the A/C unit, he was determined to find out where it was coming from. That is something he didn't have to do. We appreciated him wanting to find the solution.

Vanderford has very friendly people and capable technicians BUT they are expensive. First you must pay a trip fee upfront before they will give you an appointment. They don’t roll it into the repair. Second their repairs are expensive. My Dankin air conditioner devours capacitors and they charge 350.00 to replace it.
The last time I used them was the year before for a warranty issue and capacitor. They charged 2 trip fees and a part delivery fee because they had to come back out the next day when the part arrived. That cost 700.00.
They do repairs but very expensive. I can’t afford to use them anymore.

I wouldn't trust this company on my last penny. I called on Saturday about a pipe break, was told I'd have an appointment set up for Monday morning and that they would waive ky service fee. Sunday goes by and I do nothing about my problem because I have confidence that my leak will be resolved on Monday, but when Monday came around, I was called and told that not only was my job pushed back for another one that came up, but that I would also have to pay the fee I was told had been waived.
I have zero confidence in a company that provides mixed messages and also prioritizes another job over mine even though I was scheduled first.
This was incredibly disappointing and I feel like a big waste of time that I could have been more proactive.

Perry with Vanderford Air came out to diagnose and repair my ac system. He did a great job with the repair and also checked out the complete system. He was extremely courteous and pleasant to talk to. He answered all my questions and concerns. I also purchased the maintenance plan, I think it is very well worth the small cost for services you get. Price for the service, repair, parts and maintenance plan was very reasonable. I am a happy Vanderford customer!

Perry Threadgill is the man! He was professional, courteous and had great attention to detail. He explained things in layman terms and gave good advice on the upkeep of my 6 A/C units! He was very knowledgeable and proficient and had my A/C unit back up and running in record time! Thanks for the professional attitude and feedback Perry!

Amazing service!!! Shaun was so helpful and knowledgeable, I couldn't have asked for a better salesman. He was so patient with me and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs AC services. They replaced my entire Ac system and I was more than pleased with the work!

Vanderford Air is great! I’ve used several HVAC companies in the League City area for the past 30 years and have decided to stick with Vanderford for all of my future needs. Communication is great, technicians are all very good, and the company just seems to be very well run. Our latest visit had Jason Bennett as our tech and he did an amazing job finding and repairing our issue with sound competence. Jason was the perfect example of professionalism and courtesy. Highly recommend Vanderford Air!

Due to the terrible call center in the middle east and some staff dropping the ball (mainly the tech and manager), we didnt end up getting service from Vanderford. However, the owner, Les, did reach out and call me to resolve the issue. He even gave me his personal cell phone number (as the call center wouldn't give me the business number), so the issue wouldnt happen again. The call center they use is terrible and we did get kinda blown off by the tech, but the owner took the time and effort to call and resolve the issue with me, resulting in a revision of my previous 1 star review

Very professional and nice. They installed an hvac unit a few years ago and just had them replace duct work that had been damaged. Always came when they said they would and call just before getting here. Excellent.

Perry Threadgill from Vanderford Air provided excellent service during my HVAC maintenance visit. He quickly spotted a major efficiency issue and concerning ductwork sweating, explained the cause clearly, and gave me a solid plan to fix it. I truly appreciate how professional, knowledgeable, and patient he was in walking me through everything.

It’s rare to find a technician who delivers this level of care and education. Vanderford Air is fortunate to have him, and I highly recommend both the company and Perry’s services!

Way over priced, and was only going to bandage the actual issue. And for anyone who has a similar situation, has an Armstrong HVAC System with a Comfort sync thermostat, or considering getting this system... I don't recommend using Vanderford. And if you do, ask and verify if they will be using shielded or unshielded wiring (visually confiorm) for any installation or repairs! (read towards the bottom regarding this)
In July my AC went out. I contacted Vanderford Air, as they were the company who installed the whole HVAC system in 2020 (prior to me buying the home). Prior to AC going out the thermostat kept alerting me with multiple errors.
First off, they charged me $100 for someone to come out and do a diagnostic (I was not advised of the fee in advance).
Secondly, for a new control board and to install they were going to charge $1575! Granted my system was out of warranty - regardless... still would have been aprox $1000 in labor without price of the control board included. Their estimate was step-by-step fancy detailed words for: remove old control board, install new control board, reconnect EXISTING wiring.
***what I did is not recommended unless you have a deep enough understanding of what you are doing*** A friend of mine was an HVAC tech for 20+ years. He said If I could get the control board, he would install it. I managed to contact a couple companies, find the newest part number, and get the new control board from a supplier, advising them this (HVAC suppliers typically do not work with the public).
NOW this is part of the aprox $1000 in labor I do not understand. I myself put in the new control board and it took all of maybe 30 mins (with me NOT being an HVAC professional).
Now the bandaid. It would not have mattered if they (the professionals) had installed the control board or not. The AC continued to have issues, and I kept getting alerts for "missing air handler" and "lost communication with subnet controller." So at this point I figure the thermostat is failing. Come to find out, replacing only the thermostat wouldn't have mattered.
I found another Comfort Sync dealer (Victory Comfort Solutions if you are interested (ref as VCS from here on)) and let them know control board was replaced in July, still kept having issues, and I was only interested in a new thermostat. The owner immediately said whoever installed the system likely did not use shielded wiring (which he explained what it is). He simply had me send pictures of the thermostat info and control board - diagnosed over phone that, yes Vanderford did NOT use shielded wiring. Before I agreed to anything, I researched the importance of shielded vs non-shielded wiring, issues non-shielded wiring can cause-- which is damage to both the control board and thermostat over time-- and looked up visual differences so I could see on the control board if they were being accurate/reasonable. So, that is why it would not have mattered if I only got a new thermostat.
I went back and looked at Vanderford's estimate thinking maybe I missed something about rewiring the entire system based on how high their price was compared to what VCS gave me. No, Vanderford was only going to use existing wiring on the control board. VCS advised when the HVAC system was installed, they should have used shielded wiring in the first place and should have mentioned shielded wiring when they came out for diagnostics.
So, Vanderford wanted me to pay aprox $1000 in labor for something that took me about 30mins to do. Which was barely even a bandaid for the problem anyways, and it would have been a cycle of replace thermostat, replace control board, etc due to not having correct wiring.
VCS techs came out and spent aprox 2 hours rewiring the entire system (indoor, outdoor, thermostat, everything) with shielded wiring, and installed the new Comfort sync thermostat. Comparing the amount of labor they did, price of wiring, and price of thermostat to Vanderford’s estimate, VCS price was far, far more fair and reasonable to actually FULLY FIX the entire problem, not just bandage it.

Jason was amazing! He was super friendly and cares for his customers like family. He helped with unclogging our drains and was able to get our AC working in no time. We also decided to do the maintenance program so if we get into another situation again, it will save us money. Thank you again for your service!

I needed the winter maintenance done on my mini splits and Service Tech Ivan came out. The units were very dirty but he was knowledgeable and took his time to make sure they were cleaned properly. He was organized and did a good job. Thank you Ivan! See you in the summer.
