Reviews of local pros in Dickinson, Texas

I highly recommend Beck Landscaping. Brian and his team are professional and their work is top notch. Brian worked within our budget and came up with a beautiful design that met our low-maintenance needs and somehow tied the multiple patterns in our pool coping/tiles together. From start to finish, Beck Landscaping exceeded our expectations.

Brian Beck and his team recently completed a major landscape project for our backyard. Working with Brian was a great experience and we recommend him and his wonderful team. They are all very professional and easy to work with. We worked with Brian a lot up front to get our landscape plan just right; he never made us feel rushed and was available for us to ask any questions and open to feedback if we wanted to alter anything. He also had ideas for us that we had not thought of and our yard is now a true paradise day and night! We added a variety of plants and trees, stone borders with large rock accents, a colorful trio of beautiful pots, landscape lighting, a few pathways of flagstone and pavers as well as two privacy panels for a storage shed and trashcans. Brian and his team took their time and everything turned out amazing!

Loved working with Beck Landscaping. They were incredibly professional and knowledgeable. We needed all the plants in all our beds replaced, and they worked with us to create the look we wanted, and to respect our budget. The owner, Brian, was involved in every step. I would highly recommend them to anyone, and would definitely use them again should the need ever arise!

Brian and the entire Beck Landscaping crew exceeded our expectations in every way! We couldn’t be more pleased with both the process and the beauty of the final results. From start to finish, Brian’s expertise, creativity, and responsiveness made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. He ensured that we were happy at every stage, taking time to address even the smallest details.

The project scope included a new custom fence along our pool, new pavers along the side of the house, improved drainage, sprinkler modifications, and new plantings between the pool and fence.

Brian listened closely to our needs and came up with a design that was pleasing and practical. We had specific challenges: the fence had to meet strict HOA guidelines and secure their approval, which was accomplished. His creativity shined in the fence design — it’s not just functional but also adds beauty and value to our property. With his guidance on materials, we were able to manage costs without compromising quality.

While the custom fence was our primary focus, we were blown away by the transformation along the side of the house. The new pavers not only improved the space but turned it into a functional, beautiful area we never thought possible. The crew were true craftsmen. They also installed a channel drain running the entire length of the house and connected it to all our downspouts — an unexpected touch that will greatly improve drainage.

Every aspect of the project reflected a high level of craftsmanship and care, from the sprinkler modifications to the new plantings and mulched beds. It’s the kind of attention to detail that only skilled professionals can deliver.

Working with Beck Landscaping was a pleasure. Brian and his team made the process easy. I highly recommend them for any outdoor project, no matter the scope. We look forward to working with them again in the future!

We had a great experience with Beck Landscaping. I had some drainage issues that they resolved. They also did some much needed works to revitalize my flower beds. Brian and his crew were easy to work with. They worked hard and they cleaned up well after themselves. We were very pleased.

Brian and his crew has completed work for two HomeTown Bank locations. He's also completed work for me personally at my home. Brian had great vision based on what we described we were looking for. His crews worked quickly and neatly to complete the projects as planned all at a fair price. Brian goes out of his way to be sure his customers are pleased!

Brian and his crew created our own backyard oasis and redid our front yard and flowerbeds. They kept to a reasonable schedule between weather and supply chains . The plants are all high quality. The workers are very polite. The whole job was just what we expected and beyond.

Beck Landscaping just completed a complete refresh of the landscaping in front of our home. It is beautiful. It took me a long time to find the right landscape company for our needs and Beck Landscaping checked all of the boxes. Brian was professional and truly listened and delivered. His crew worked hard, were courteous, and cleaned up the area every day. My husband is happy with the sprinkler installation and the drainage work that he requested. This company is a gem!

Brian and his crew were awesome! They made our front and back yards beautiful. Our goal was to have less maintenance and less foliage falling into our pool. They did a great job and really listened to our needs.

Beck Landscaping LLC

Beck Landscaping turned a large grassy backyard with a small covered patio into a beautiful and functional place to relax and enjoy as well as for entertaining, complete with a 14x14 wood pergola, patio pavers, a very natural, rustic firepit area with boulders and flagstone. On the other side of the pergola has is a bird and butterfly garden with an awesome rock fountain. Brian (owner) had a vision for the project, based on what we wanted to incorporate, that not only incorporates beauty but also with form and function, keeping within our budget. They work closely with you to find what you like and then they get it done. Brian and his employees are professional, knowledgeable and hard-working. Brian (owner) is very knowledgeable, straightforward, responds to questions timely and was great to work with. I would highly recommend Beck Landscaping LLC for your landscaping needs large or small.

Awesome! Brian has been fantastic from start to finish of our project. Brian came up with plans on the possibilities which helped us figure out what we actually wanted to do and what we could do within our proposed budget. The work began as soon as the weather was appropriate, the project included a new roof, tied into our existing roof to give us a covered patio area, a new paved patio area, new pool spray deck, new fencing, lighting and general landscaping. All the work was carried out so well and Brian ensures that the work is done by the contractors to his satisfaction, with his demands being higher than our own. The garden now looks fantastic and I would highly recommend Brian to anyone looking to have any landscaping done. He has transformed our backyard into a haven where we find ourselves now spending more time.

Brian with Beck Landscaping did a wonderful job for us. Created raised retaining walls with Astro turf, outdoor lighting along the wall and outdoor kitchen.

Brian Beck and the entire crew are professionals. I highly recommend them for all of your exterior needs. They concentrate on doing the job right. My entire front and back yards were transformed into usable, beautifully curated spaces. They were able to extend my brick patio under the new pergola so that it looks like it was built when the house was built. My new fence is amazingly sturdy. The artificial turf and hardscape are low maintenance and require minimal water. Customer for life.

We contacted Beck Landscaping to prepare a master landscape plan for our new house. Brian came out, discussed what the scope of our work would be and viewed the property. In a week, he returned with several plans that included what was to be done, when it could be constructed, project costs and options available. He accurately translated our vision into specific detailed plans. He was easy to work with, a good communicator, creative, pleasant and flexible.
We settled on a scope, schedule and cost with construction commencing within a week. With the exception of a few rain delays, his outstanding work crew finished the quality job on time with beautiful results. He personally was on the job every day ensuring the project was going on as planned. He stayed with the entire job until completion.
You can see from the attached pictures the pergola, sod, paved walkway and beds for the trees and other plantings. You can’t see the irrigation systems but it's there.

Amazing work! Very quick and professional. Receive a quote one day and all work was done within 10 days. We have received so many compliments on our yard. Replaced all of the grass, added a couple of rock gardens, a new irrigation system, all new grass, and custom matching pots that are plumbed to the irrigation system to keep them watered. So glad we went with Beck Landscaping.

We started with an idea of a little fire pit patio, and then maybe adding a pool. Brian took our ideas and created a beautiful backyard paradise! We feel like we are living in a resort every day of our lives! The design is perfect for our space, with the shapes and seating areas playing so innovatively together. We wanted to plant the flowers and other smaller plants ourselves, and they gave us the space to do so, creating rock-lined beds, planting the trees, and placing the (gorgeous!) boulders. And our backyard is breathtaking day or night with the LED lights in the landscaping and on the pergola. Brian and Anna were lovely to work with, and they stayed within our budget, even with the added extras we decided upon along the way. We highly recommend Beck Landscaping for your project!

I highly recommend Beck Landscaping for all hardscape and landscaping needs. Dan Cervantez with Beck designed and managed our entire project.

Beck Landscaping cleared out and redid multiple existing beds, demoed and replaced the front concrete walkway with a beautiful 3-stone system, and modernized our outdoor kitchen, including relocating the existing cooktop island. They even made my childhood dream of having a putting green in my backyard a reality.

My wife and I were involved in the whole process. Along the way, changes to the original drawings had to be made, and Dan always replied, "no problem, we can do that." He also was never short of great ideas to enhance this project, and owner Brian Beck was no stranger to our job.

All the different crews that worked on our project were, timely, courteous and always cleaned the job site before leaving for the day.

Without a doubt, Beck Landscaping is a top-notch company. If you are considering a small, medium, or large outdoor hardscape and landscaping project, give Beck Landscaping a call. We're glad we did!

This review is on behalf of my father, Terry Taylor, in Houston, who does not have a Google account but was extremely satisfied with this company's services and wanted to make sure his experience was made public.

When the last few years of drought conditions in Houston created some major issues with our home, I visited with neighbors in our area who I knew had remodeling and general home maintenance projects done on their homes recently. Contender Construction got consistent reviews for quality of work and value for money spent.

Contender Construction owner, Stephen Box, met with my wife and me and spent almost two hours listening and asking questions about our goals which included replacing damaged cedar siding and repainting our unattached garage, removing and replacing a sidewalk from the street to the front of the house and removing and replacing the concrete patio and attached sidewalks at the rear of the house. We also chose to replace the front door unit of our home. Over the next couple of days, Stephen sent options to consider for each part of the project. At the end, he sent us a proposal that included all the elements we chose with relevant pictures and prices that included parts and labor.

Contender’s specialty sub-contractors on our renovation were all complete professionals. Every phase of the project was done well using top quality materials. The front door unit was installed and sealed carefully, and both sides of the door got multiple coats of paint.

As with most projects on sixty-year-old dwellings, modifications to original bids must be expected because of unanticipated challenges that appear. Stephen wisely warned us of this prior to making the original bid. Our modifications were minor and very reasonably priced. It is worth noting that the front-door unit we ordered ended up costing less than originally quoted, and Stephen credited us for the difference on our final bill! We wouldn’t have known about it otherwise. Personal integrity counts.

My wife and I highly recommend Stephen Box and Contender Construction for residential remodeling and restoration projects

Fantastic service and results. Great communication and fair pricing. Highly recommend and will be using again in the future.

Stephen Box and his team are true professionals. They were able to get to my house quickly and replace/caulk/fix what needed to be fixed on my inspection report for a great cost. Huge thanks to Stephen for being so upfront and accomodating! Definitely will use them again when needed!

Nice people
