We just turned on our new 12kw solar installation, and the whole process ran like clockwork. When I first approached them for a proposal, Chris and Laneah were prompt, courteous, and very transparent: here's what we think you need and don't need, this is what you can expect, this is how much it will cost, this is the timeframe for when each stage will take place. And then they let me take my time.

I had taken several bids from several companies in this way, and everyone else tried to up-sell me or press me for a follow-up: hello, are you ready to make a decision? Can I remind you about why our solution is so great? MountainStar was, in contrast, very hands-off: they had already told me about their offer, and left me to decide. But when I did write to them to accept their contract, they were there the next day--prompt and courteous again--ready to move forward with exactly those terms. And they had the actual panels laid out by that weekend, and then the full installation completed only three days later.

If you've done solar in the El Paso area, you'll know the next step is all up to EP Electric as they go through their inspection and approval paperwork. As MountainStar said to expect, this could take 1-3 months--and today, with our system now turned on and producing energy, is exactly 2 months from when we started. This was exactly the timeline I was told to expect.

Today, I can see--both from the electrical meters on the house and from a handy app that MountainStar helped set up for monitoring--that my panels are producing electricity, covering my needs and feeding excess back to the grid for sale. (For context: it's cold and rainy here today, and yet even so I'm making a surplus at the moment.) The whole process has been completely free of stress or surprises, and I'm delighted with the result.

Thanks to the team of MountainStar Solar. I was consulted by Chris and Laneah. It was my third consult for solar but first time with MountainStar Solar. I was about to give up on going solar. After all I had made my house energy smart and cut my bill. I still decided to call MountainStar and make the consult. They came and educated me about solar energy and offered me the options that suited my expectations based on quality and price. I like that they were trained and certified with the highest quality producers of solar, but were able to offer other high grade affordable options. Everyone else I consulted before only lied to me about how many panels I needed and offer me one stand alone option and then harassed me about signing. I truly appreciated that Chris and Leah followed up at the agreed time and put zero pressure, after all it was a $25k decision.
The team installed the panels in two days and within the time promised. The team also got the permits and inspections completed within the time they told me to expect it.
I will highly recommend this team even if you are not sure about solar yet. This is the team to get ins and outs of solar without pushing you to get one kind of set up.

When I started interviewing companies for solar, I was unaware of what I was looking for. I spoke to many different companies. MountainStar Solar was the first company that wanted to work with me on both my solar and air conditioning needs. They walked me through the whole process, answered all my questions, and made sure that we were comfortable with all that needed to get done. They also gave me money saving options when available. During this process, my very old swamp cooler went down, and I was without air. Chris did everything he could to get my refrigerated units done as soon as he could. I have had solar panels for over three years and have paid more money now then when I was paying when I did not have them. I have tried for three years to work with home pro solutions, and time solar but they just blame each other. I do not recommend home pro solutions or solar panels. Horrible company and DO NOT Do BUSINESS with them. You will regret it

I got a package, Solar panels and water softener, I love it saw the differencim right away in my water. Plus I'm not paying anything on my electric bill anymore and iys only been 9 months sence I purshed my panles. My sales consultant explained everything very well and was really nice. Highly recommend.
