I really love the selection here! Lots of unusual plants. The staff is always nice and helpful. Although I have ask for help with shade plants, and ended searching on Google for care when home. And found they were for full sun. So used them in another area. I guess I will Google the plant when shopping there

Waaay overpriced. They had an elephant ear that was incorrectly labeled and in horrible shape, looked as if it were diseased or infested with spider mites for 49.99. when asked for a discount because of its condition she offered to sell it for 45 dollars a 4 dollar discount lol for a plant that looked like it wasn't going to make it. When I politely declined the offer and said I would return it she laughed at me as if I were being unreasonable. Will never shop there again most of their plants you can find online at a much cheaper price

Awesome selection of succulents! Awesome deals on huge pots! Finally found a snowball vibernum and plumeria I've been looking for! Cannot wait to come back seriously! Totally made my Mother's Day!

What a delightful place!! So much pottery and more. Plants are great. Lots of planters and statues, I was not expecting that. Will come back.

I’ve made a handful of large purchases at this business and I’m sad to say today will be the last. I just had the account manager accuse me of doing the damage to my brand new vehicle- I would have zero problem owning up to that if I did that. I had two employees load a pot yesterday and didn’t tell me that they damaged my vehicle in the process. Accidents do happen- but i don’t see how they would have missed doing that. I would expect employees to be experts at loading vehicles with these larger, heavy pots better than the buyers… lesson learned.
I was sad to discover the damage after I had already left the property, so unfortunately nothing can be done to rectify the situation.. but how the account manager handled me was by far the most unprofessional, combative, awkward, accusatory and defensive I’ve ever been spoken to. They didn’t even want to hear my frustration or my findings of the damage and proceeded to shut down the conversation with telling me about their totaled vehicle instead. “Who cares” seems to be the running motto here in every way… -
Found this place on the web mail after calling several in the area they acted more interested in what I was looking for than any of the others. Upon arrival I told the young man that we were looking for cool weather cactus in northern Texas. He directed us to an area and told us when we had looked over the inventory he would get Sarah for us, when she came over told her kind of what we were intended to do and showed her some pictures of our newly erected raised beds. She laid the plants out what would look nice and hit it spot on. She was fantastic and knew her business well and took the ease out of us not having a clue what we needed. Took them home and got it half done on MLK day and they look fantastic. Thanks a lot Sarah for your help I would recommend this nursery anytime.

Outstanding hidden nugget. I had never heard of Guardado's before today. Don't let the unassuming little street front fool you. This place is BIG. So much inside. Greenery, cactus, fountains, from itty-bitty pots to HUGE pots bigger than me, and some of the most beautiful pottery and garden sculptures plus so much more. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I'll be back.

I needed help figuring out what plants to put in my new pots. I know nothing of plants so I needed some help. Ivan walked around with me and helped me pick out plants to create texture and a good blend of colors and really brought what I wanted to accomplish TO LIFE! He was so sweet and helpful. I recommend this place. Lots of plants to choose from and staff is great. Thanks Ivan!

I was blown away by their selection! If you're looking for succulents this is the right place! Staff was incredibly friendly, offered help multiple times, and information about the plants. Another plus is that this is a family owned local business. Support local! Already can't wait to go back!

Overwhelming number of pottery choices. Good number of hard to find or otherwise uncommon plants. Rae and staff excel at customer service and communication! Call and ask and if she doesn’t know immediately you’ll get a call back in plenty of time to keep clients happy. Retail and wholesale with excellent pricing especially on the wholesale end.

I ended up here after a very unfruitful (and overpriced) visit to Archie's around the corner. I didn't want to drive all the way back home empty handed go I googled what was close and Guardado's came up. They were so helpful, made sure I knew about the discounts, and when I found a talavera item that was the last one and a little damaged, they gave me 50% off. Most places you're lucky if you get 10%. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be back.

While I appreciate the selection of plants, pots, and unique items, nothing is worth buying when the owner is rude to you. This is a great place for people who are not aware that the same items sell at a drastically lower price nearby. I mean a fraction of the price. My $1000 at the other place bought WAY more at a higher quality and that owner was not dismissive and has a greater knowledge of the product. According to the owner of Guardados, he is unable to purchase plants at even the going rate from wholesale which is probably the reason he has to jack them up so high....OR he is just loving making a killing off of people who don't know his items are ridiculously overpriced.

They have way better varieties than most local plant nurseries. Many plant nurseries have very basic species that you can get at any department store, however one thing I appreciate about Guardado is their unique selection. The prices are also quite reasonable than other local nurseries like Archie's who sell plants that are basic specimens that are over priced.
Will definitely splurge on plants here.
Also I rarely notice pests or hitchhikers on their plants, that means that they actually take care of their specimens and are taking preventative measures. This place deserve more than five stars. -
I had a terrific experience during my first visit to this establishment. On Valentines Day a knowledgeable manager named Ivan helped me put together the perfect plant with the perfect pot. My wife was thrilled. The Garden Center is interesting and fun to browse. I will be back.

I have no clue what is wrong with some people who post on here. My husband and I have shopped at Guardado for years and they are the nicest, most helpful people on earth when it comes to plants. Once we "found" this place we never went to a "big box chain nursery" again!!! They have first quality plants, the largest selection of ordinary plants you love AND plants you may have never seen. If you want a mix of typical and unusual plants for here! The owner Eloy Guardado has become a great friend over the years and his knowledge of plants and where and how to plant is unsurpassed. We find him always available and ready to give advice and help. You may pay a bit more BUT the quality and help you receive is second to none. Remember, you get what you pay for! I am particular but I cannot say enough about this nursery. GO!!! NOW!!!

As a succulent lover, this place was pure heaven. So many different varieties, even the harder to find ones like string of pearls and burro's tail. The gentleman was super helpful. I was impressed and thrilled to have discovered this place. Will definitely be back.

Warning!! You will find what you didn’t know you needed when you come in here. Also...they have a restroom. A bonus, taking your time is an option! Prices are phenomenal and the plants are out of this world. The succulents and cacti are the most hardy and happiest I’ve ever seen. If you’re out and about with family who loves plants as much as you do, this place would be an excellent treat for them.

Love the place, so many options to select from. I would give a 5 star review but they need to fix up the pathways to to narrow, you can't really walk without being careful of falling. Also I would of bought more plants but plenty of the products did not have pricing it's more of a guess what your paying for situation.
It would make more sense to have a sign up somewhere close to your plants describing the prices of what is in that area.
Other than that it's pretty nice store. -
First time here today and we loved it! I didn’t notice until we left but they were so sweet and gave us a discount all because a couple of leaves were beat up. We didn’t even have to ask THAT is going way above and beyond. And they took down this beautiful piece just cause I wanted to see it and weren’t rude when we decided we weren’t going to get it today. So now this weekend I will definitely be going up there to get it. Reasonable pricing especially with plants that I know are taken care of. Absolutely will be supporting this business over big box store plants. Thank you guys so much!!!

The place was wonderful. A lot of different plants to choose from as well as beautiful pottery for decor or planting as well. Prices were reasonable and staff was very helpful. The person helping me explained everything I needed to know about my first plant very thoroughly and I left feeling confident that I could take care of it. He was personable with every guest I saw him interact with as well. Took my 2yo daughter there and she loved seeing the merchandise a lot! We left with a beautiful succulent & a gorgeous pot! I'll definitely return for more! My only regret was not wearing bug spray, my daughter & I got a few mosquito bites! 🦟😩

Cool place that has a lot of beautiful Mexican Pottery. A ton of succulents, a little oasis in the city.
