I’ve been a loyal Frymire customer for over 20 years. However, since the company’s recent management and structural changes, the level of service and value have noticeably declined.

About eight years ago, Frymire installed my current system, and I’ve consistently paid their monthly maintenance fee for years. Unfortunately, the benefits of that plan—roughly $180 per year—proved minimal when my system recently failed. I was quoted over $2,000 for repairs, and only after I mentioned the cost was unaffordable did they reduce the price by 20%, bringing it down to just over $1,600.

After reviewing the invoice, I noticed several questionable charges, so I decided to seek a second opinion. Through my research, I found Air Repair Pros, they sent out Cassi, a great person and professional who repaired the same issue for $600—a fraction of Frymire’s price. Their maintenance plan also offers significantly better value, so I switched immediately.

For transparency, I’ve attached both invoices so others can compare for themselves. The first two are Frymire. You tell me who you would go with.

Brandon did a great job and was very respectful of the fact that I was in meetings while he was here. Really appreciate all of the help and kindness from him! Air Repair Pros has an incredible staff!

Marcus from Air Repair Pros was absolutely fantastic! He came out to service our office and did an excellent job from start to finish. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very thorough in explaining everything he was working on. He made the whole process smooth and stress-free, and we truly appreciated his great attitude and attention to detail. Please do not waste your time here, unit only needed freon, however, the guy who came out here who was very condescending, tried to make it seem everything was so wrong with my unit i needed to replace everything and put a 16k unit with them. Also tried to upsell me on a membership. Again, it only needed freon. Very dishonest. Do not recommend.

Sadly, I have to edit it, due to the reply of the owner. I appreciate you guys being responsive and driving through that weather, however, praying in the desperation of people and being condescending is never a good trait to have.

Sadly if you do not train your people enough to understand the proper wiring, is not my fault. Yes, it is wired, hence, next day putting freon fixed the issue, but hey hopefully other people have a better experience than the crapy one I had.

Scheduled an appointment. Made arrangements to take the day off to be there. Round trip, I have about 180 mile drive. Today, I get a text message cancelling the appointment. Called, told we're not working that day. We don't work weekends. Then I got the "so sorry" about the huge problem they just dumped on me because they can't be relied on to show up when they say they're going to show up. The only good thing is at least they didn't wait until the day of the appointment to cancel. Now I get to scramble to find someone who will show up.

I’m very pleased with a service that Hunter provided. Our system went out on us and we got scheduled very promptly. Hunter gave me a call with the heads up and he showed up on time. He was super professional and personable but most important knowledgeable. He found an issue very quickly, provided timely solution!

Rudy was amazing to deal with during my HVAC problem. He took his time to explain step by step what work was needed and all my options. His professionalism during his visit was commendable. He was courteous and notified me when he was on hamis way. The appointment was easy to make and true to their time estimate. I'm very happy to have Rudy and your team as my new HVAC company. I would highly recommend this company.
UPDATE: Rudy conducted some maintenance work for our HVACs on September 12, 2025 and again he was amazing. I want to again express my appreciation for his professionalism during this visit. He took his time to explain the work he conducted and his recommendations. I was able to ask questions and he provided his professional opinion. I can't say enough how pleased I am for having Rudy and your company as my HVAC company.

Eli is the best!!!! I had an issue with my unit not turning on 4 weeks after a previous tech from another company has gone out. Eli went out assed the unit and fixed some issues to get it up and running. Fast forward 2-3 days later the unit was out again. I called and Eli made it out to my home late at night. The issue was a new one and he walked me through all my options. I appreciated that he offered the bandaid option but I went with his recommendation of making a more permanent solution. Also I want to highlight his willingness to work with my limited budget. In Texas you NEED a trust worthy AC Tech. Look no farther, Eli is your guy!!!

Nick came out to repair my A/C issue. He was friendly, personable and took the time to share the details of the issue with me so that I could make the best possible choice on the repair.

A/C repairs are never cheap but when there is quality and professionalism involved, I’m willing to pay more. Nick did a great job providing all the options and fixing the problem cleanly and effectively and because of that… I’ll stay with ARP for my hvac issues

Marcus at Air Repair Pros came out to do an inspection on a commercial property. He was very kind and informative. He explained in detail his findings. I would recommend this company and Marcus again! Great job!

Isaiah at Air Repair Pros went above and beyond to repair the heat in this cold weather. He even offered to go get space heaters for us in his four-wheel-drive since we didn’t have a way to get there. Very professional very honest. Would use them again.

Felix and the "J" Crew-Jose, Jessie, Joe, and Jason-went above and beyond to deliver the utmost in care, respect to our property, honoring our time, thoughtful detail, courteous service, and efficient delivery and install of our new AC unit. Never felt pressured, stressed, or doubtful of their professionalism at any point of the process. It was a big job for a rainy day and they came when they promised, communicated well, had a dry plan for everything, tarped a clear path from the porch all the way through the house to the attic, took their shoes off and used shoe coverings without being asked, cleaned up and took away all debris from the old unit, clean precisioned new vent and ductwork, gorgeous quiet unit on the exterior with a fantastic new slab cover...really exceptional! The app and new large digital screen thermostat were easy to set up and log in family members. Best experience with someone in my home ever!

Adding to my post after a courtesy followup by Felix on Friday, April 25: Continued exceptional service with great communication, digital updates, email copies and documentation including receipts and warranties. This is the honest, good ol' boy we love local business and local manufacturing, handshake promises that mean something, kind of service. If you are sitting on the fence about who to call, these are your people! They are in it for the long term relationship, not just a sale.

Adding one more time to my review (from April to July) after the install of our second AC system with Air Repair Pros. Yes, the second 22-year-old unit died an official death, and the team swiftly took tremendous care of us again! This time it included a larger system, extra ducting and an extra return that the original builder failed to get right, and VOILA we finally have every space in our house cool 😎 after more than 10 years of frustration with some rooms unbearably warm and others too cold. This means much more to me with a family member who has a chronic disability that is exacerbated by summer heat! Thanks so much for being great problem solvers, Felix! If you want a relationship with people who listen respectfully, work like they are on fire, and have the expertise you are looking for Air Repair Pros and my special 2nd unit installl team with Felix and Cesar are IT!!!

Sam came out to my house to conduct a 6 month maintenance on my air-conditioner. He was so nice, polite and thorough. He came into my house with his protective covering on his shoes. He left everything just as it was when he came. I had a really good experience with this company! Great job! 👏🫡👍

Brandon W was awesome to work with. After receiving multiple quotes from other vendors, they certainly weren’t the cheapest but I felt what I paid was more than fair. To be backed by a company that’s been around for years and supported by the manufacturer, I am confident the extra money was well spent. We had our whole ac system replaced due to age and proactively, I would highly recommend using them to assess your current ac system so you can be as proactive as we were. This allows you to do the proper research and more importantly, budget.

I can’t imagine trying to deal with a whole ac replacement in the middle of the Texas summer but I can assure you Brandon and team will take the best care of you that they can!

We had an issue with the property we manage in Texas for our Foundation. Andrew Richey one of the service reps was so knowledgeable and extremely professional in how he handled our HVAC issue. He answered all our questions and took care of our issues promptly. We have really enjoyed working with Air Repair Pros and highly recommend their services.

Over the past few years, my daughter has called to let me know that the thermostat for the AC unit (11 years old) at her residence had stopped working. Of course, the warranty was expired. Rather than call the company from whom we purchased the unit, I chose to call Air Repair Pros because my nephew, David Wilson, recently joined them as their new Sales Manager. You can see interviews with him on You Tube where he reveals his unique approach to selling that resulted in his being named the Top Salesman for several years in a row for his former employer, Baker Brothers. What I really like about Air Repair Pros, however, is that they are a family owned and operated business, not beholding to a group of venture capitalists who are buying the largest HVAC companies around, jacking up prices, and lowering their service quality standards.

David assigned our service needs to a young man named Andrew Richey. Andrew assessed the issue with the non-working thermostat as a short in the wiring which had resulted in a few components basically getting fried. He showed me pictures of the obvious scorching in the various components. He offered up a few options with their corresponding costs to make the repairs. Because my daughter and two of my grandchildren as well as my daughter's significant other live there, I didn't want to keep throwing money after a used-up system, so I asked Andrew to give me options on removing the old system and replacing it with a new Trane system. Within an hour he had 4 options for me.

I chose the option that included the Trane XR15 HVAC system. Additional features to repair the attic power switch (the source of the problem) and installing an air scrubber UV light in the new plenum completed the order. Oh, and Andrew also had his two-man crew insulate an exposed ^X^ foot wall in the attic.

The next morning at (;00 AM, Chris and RJ showed up and performed the job of removing the old unit and installing the new unit. They were courteous, professional and very efficient. At around 4:30 PM, they were finished with the job. They re-routed one of the ducts to the unit to give us a little more storage space which is much appreciated!

If you are in need of any type of service for your HVAC system, I recommend your considering Air Repair Pros. They are A+ rated with BBB and their personnel are well versed in all aspects of HVAC maintenance, repairs and replacement. I have so much more peace of mind now that we have a brand-new unit at my daughter's residence!!

I recently had the company, Air Repair Pros to our home for the A/C yearly inspection. The Technition was on time, introduced himself at the door and explained everything he was here to do.
He was very nice and polite. After he did his inspection work he replaced the air filters in the house for me. He then explained everything he had done and asked if there was anything else
he could do for me. He was very professional, but also friendly and helpfull. I really give him an A# and would call on Jace from Air Repair Pro to keep our A/C in top condition.

Rudy was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, honest, and professional. Our A/C randomly stopped working- vents weren’t releasing air at all. He fixed our problem quickly and was able to identify another issue of concern as well which we were also able to fix in the same day! Overall a really affordable price for the repair, part, & their monthly membership that we decided to go with as well.

These guys came out within an hour on a Sunday when the outside temp was 15 degrees. Got us fixed in 30 minutes. They will be my first call every time. Arturo ws our technician and he was friendly and professional. Obviously great at his job, fixed our problem quickly.

Danny J was our hero today! He braved the dangerous roads and came to get our heat working again during the record breaking ice storm. Danny was professional and had an amazing friendly personality. We feel blessed to be part of the comfort club where caring technicians such as Danny come to our rescue.
