We really enjoyed working with Pool Concepts. From design to construction they were really easy to work with. They built a really great pool for my family and would recommend anyone looking to build a pool to get a quote from Pool Concepts.

It was wonderful working with Jason Ordaz. The company is very professional. The Ordaz family has a first class business. It is nice to work with a business that follows up and what they say they will do. Pool Concepts totally met our expectations. We would highly recommend them to anyone that wants to have a pool installed or upgraded.

Wow, I love my pool. This is my SECOUND pool done by Pool Concepts. Can't say enough great experiences that I had with Jason and Joe.
ALL the subs were very polite and courteous. We had a HOA issue and Jason was right on top of it and helped with additional paperwork.

Just had the best experience at Pool concepts! Everyone was very friendly. We mainly worked with Chris, he was awesome and has custom designed our new pool! Can’t wait to have my dream pool!

This is our first pool build so we have no comparison but if I ever have another one to build, I will not go back to these people. The only person who we thought did a decent job was the salesman - of course why we got sold on the project. The project communication was the WORST! I wanted to give them time and patience before leaving this review but my patience has run out completely. No one calls us back for any issue we call in for. We have to constantly call in for follow up. Project manager won’t answer phone calls, and dump the responsibilities onto their crews. Delays after delays with every step along the way for little things that turn out only taking 30min to fix. They don’t show up on the days they tell us they would and show up on the time when we aren’t home. It’s a HUGE disappointment and I will not ever recommend them to anyone. And honestly speaking, the pool did not turn out as good as it looked on their computer! We were so excited going into the project, costed a lot of money and it dragged on forEVER to complete.

Edit: Back in Feb because of the freeze many pools in Texas took a hit n parts broke down. We reported the damage and was told parts were unavailable. We understood and patiently waited. 2 months passed and nothing. After calling and calling, the pure lack of care/interest from their end made me call someone else. I was told by pool concept it was going to be AT LEAST another 2 months in wait and upward about $500 not covered cost. Guess what, another company came out within 2 days and repaired with the parts included for less than $100!! Go somewhere else for your pool project!

Tried to get a pool bid and had a one of the designers come out to take a look at the layout of my back yard. Right from the start on the phone it was like he was trying to convince me reasons not to get a pool due to a 65k budget. While at home the designer did talk about different options and eventually I took out the spa idea that I wanted. Pool concepts never got back to me with pricing or info after they said they would till this day. I am currently building a pool 2 months later with a pool company that took the time to listen and work with me. Pool price did go up to 75k but I got everything I wanted. Didn't want to post anything negative but I sure wish I would of been treated better.

We were very happy with our design and construction experience, but the follow up with warranty issues and service has not been great. We have reached out to them multiple times over the last year as we have issues with the stone on our fire pit cracking and stones lifting as the contractor did not use heat resistant mortar. We have yet to receive a call back. We also no longer use the warranty person they provided because he was unreliable and would miss multiple appointments. We were referred to a service person through our pool supply company that does warranty work on our brand equipment. Again, great pool, looks beautiful, but the service after the pool was finished is less than acceptable.

Pool Concepts has been wonderful to work with. Everyone from Mike, the designer, Dre and Jesse, the project managers, the office staff and all of the contractors have been professional & knowledgeable. Customer Service is excellent and we absolutely LOVE our pool.

My wife and I got 3 bids on our pool and outdoor kitchen. We are so happy that we chose Pool Concepts to do the work. We started with just a basic idea of what we wanted, but George Wieland (sales and designer) took that info and designed a beautiful pool. With any big project like this, there will always be hiccups along the way. The thing that was so impressive with Pool Concepts is that they were always very responsive to any issues that came up. Thank you, Miguel, (project mgr.) for staying on top of things. And last but not least thanks to Kent and Brad for getting the pool swim ready with all the touch up work and pool chemicals. We are very happy with our beautiful pool and our kids will enjoy it for many years to come.

All around great experience. Our 30+ year old pool was in desperate need of renovation and updating. Pete Ordaz personally came out for our first meeting and discussed some ideas. We then met with Tim Clark who took our ideas incorporated them into a design that exceeded our expectations. We sat down with Tim and discussed costs and materials and he was very open with us and listened to us to add somethings we wanted. Tim never pressured us to spend more, frankly we did that ourselves.

Construction started in early February (a week ahead of schedule) and only recently concluded, well beyond the original time estimate, through no fault of Pool Concepts. We knew our pool was leaking before we called Pete and we lost several weeks waiting on the leak detectors to chase down leaks (more than one - each time adding more delay). That delay almost certainly threw us of Pool Concepts schedule with its subs and then or course, we had a few weeks of rain that prevented plastering. Pete was more upset by all of this than we were.

Our construction foreman was Joe Zapata. Joe kept us up to date with the crazy schedule resulting from all of the above and came up with some creative work arounds for some of our leak issues that saved a lot of money. Joe was a pleasure to work with.

Pete told me he wouldn't do another pool reno for a pool he didn't build. I hope he doesn't hold to that. We hated the pool we had, but love the pool we now have thanks to Pool Concepts. We get rave reviews from everyone who has seen the pool and would not hesitate to recommend Pool Concepts to anyone looking to build or renovate a pool. In fact we already have sent a few people Pete's way.

From start to finish and even past completion with service we have nothing but positive things to say about Pool Concepts. Jason, Dre and everyone we worked with were amazing. Our backyard had some interesting challenges from wanting to keep as many trees as possible to digging through a pure rock slabs to building on a hill above our home, but Pool Concepts produced an amazingly beautiful pool that continues to be the focal point of our backyard and more importantly a great place to relax and spend time with family and friends. We recently made a HUGE move from San Diego, California, to Spring Branch, Texas, where we built our "dream home" on Canyon Lake. Pool Concepts and the Ordaz Team became significant partners in completing our dream.

Our builder, Johnny Long, had the Pool Concepts Team ready to work with us, and from the moment we met Jason, Ryan and their Team, it has been nothing short of a Fantastic experience! They listened to our "vision" and then created a fabulous, unique pool complete with waterfalls, lights, swim-up bar and more! They are Super creative and everyone at Pool Concepts subscribes to the "Do What You Say You Will Do" philosophy! Work began immediately and was finished ahead of schedule. Most importantly, we had constant communication during the construction AND follow-up communication after completion. CUSTOMER SERVICE doesn't get any better than that!

I can't imagine anyone NOT using Pool Concepts for their "dream home!" They are simply the Best! Not only do we have a gorgeous pool that people ask to see on a regular basis, but we also have new Texas friends within the Ordaz Team. Recently, our home was featured in Timeless Luxury Homes Showcase, and our pool was the center of attention. We're still smiling!

Pool Concepts built a pool for us about three years ago. It has been wonderful! The process and construction were superb, and the pool has provided a great deal of enjoyment. They recently responded promptly to a couple of issues (not of their doing) and provided quick and reasonably priced repairs. A fine company! Highly recommended.

We have had our pool about 10 months now. George Wieland, our sales designer did the perfect job of capturing what we wanted. Hands down, the best design we looked at and couldn’t be happier.

But, the true measure of a good company, in my opinion is how they handle issues. This was our second pool project and at the time we had just finished building our new home. As with any big project, there are going to be issues and problems that arise. I think that is just life. But pool Concepts always stepped up to the plate and made it right, leaving us with a great finished product.
What really compelled us to write this letter was about six months after the pool was done and after they had been paid, we had a few warranty issues. Pool pump went out, filter had defective cartridges, and a few minor cosmetic things. Everytime I called Ryan Ordaz, he responded immediately and had someone out the next day. This was not a one-time occurrence. It has happened a few times and he is always on the ball making sure we are not without a working pool. In this day and age it is very hard to find folks in the building and service industry that are that quick to come out and help, especially when it is a warranty issue and we are not having to pay to have things replaced.

Pool Concepts installed a pool at our home a little over two years ago. The pool and design are beautiful and we have been extremely happy with this pool. Last week, one of the pumps failed. It took one call to Ryan to execute the warranty claim. We continue to be delighted with Pool Concepts and would recommend Pool Concepts to anyone who is considering the purchase of a pool. Both their work and price are excellent.

Pool Concepts built us a beautiful pool and spa with several water features . We love looking at our pool and spending time in it and we were very impressed with the final stages of buttoning things up and taking care of the small details to make sure we were 100% satisfied.
During the time we contracted at the end of 2021 all pricing were soaring and yet we feel like we received a good value from the Pool Concepts Team.

I have waited to review the company, Pool Concepts, until I was certain of what I thought, given the advantage of time. The pool has been in place for about 4 years now. In the beginning of the design and build, and immediately following, the pool was great. Looked great, performed great. However, over time a fatal flaw developed, cracking of the footer at the edge of the pool. This resulted in cracking to the interior of the pool below the water line. The requested evaluation and repair has been poorly executed. I was "put off" by the main repair guy for at least 6 months. When the repair was performed below the water, the color does not match the rest of the pool AT ALL. And, when the crack was evaluated for the footer, a mere line of plaster was applied at one seam, without consideration for the root cause. I was put off for months and months at a time. No return of phone calls, delay upon delay. Now, I have to seek repair services from other pool companies. Beware, if you choose to go with this pool construction, the company DOES NOT stand behind its product. That's too bad, because I like to give the benefit of the doubt, and give business to local companies. After purchase of a $70 K product, I expected better.

Almost 10 years after having Pete and Pool Concepts design and install my pool, I am still pleased. I have stayed in contact with Pool Concepts over the years for all my maintenance and filter cleaning requirements, and they always treat me with the upmost kindness and respect and they always take care of me. Special thank you to Lora...you are the best, thanks for putting up with me and being so nice when I call. Great Company!!
