Working with Pool Concepts as our pool contractor was not a great experience, they started off strong and certainly gained our interest. The biggest issue was the lack of communication within the company and the contractor (Foreman). Weekly updates were promised to us at the beginning of the project, however we had to reach out to them weekly for updated status, normally taking 2 to 3 days to reply. The original pool layout was wrong, they dug the layout in the wrong position in our backyard. We were compensated for the mistake but again due to the lack of communication the contractors were unaware of any changes. My husband and I were deployed for the entire project, the lack of commutation made things worst. At the completion of the project, a few things were pointed out to correct but since there wasn’t a final walk through conducted by the company nothing was fixed. The pool school was not helpful at all, we received broken equipment from the company he took the defective part to replace it’s been two months with weekly text messages and we still haven’t received our replacement equipment from him. They destroyed our grass, left pallets and trash in our yard while vanishing without a trace. Being a new pool owner, they promise you they won’t leave you alone but since December they have returned one phone call and no text messages when we need information from them. The weather storm completely trashed our pool that was operable for 3 weeks, we’ve reached out to them to no avail. This could have been because of COVID, the project was supposed to be a 12-16-week job, but it took 7 months to complete. The people were friendly, but I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Pool concepts never completed pool after I have pad in full , left cracks,so many broken pieces all over pool swore would be fixed never showed up again ,sloppy work pool color was patched up left undone work pool is falling apart haven’t even been 2 years sence that was poured never even got cleared with city to close permits never answer calls ! Never came to do finish up work cause I wiould not sign contract they made saying they not responsible if patched up work causes problems !No one in charge that makes a difference do not recommend beware !!!!im on beginning of civil case!

I'm a first time pool customer. Pool Concepts has made my first transaction absolutely flawless. From the design and sales with Jason Ordaz, which was exactly what we wanted, to the step by step construction with Dre Flores. My wife and I are extremely happy and appreciative. Anytime my wife or I had a question or concern it was quickly answered or resolved. The team of workers pool concepts employs are very friendly and willing to explain what their specific job was on any given day.
I personally feel I was a difficult customer but the pool concepts team never made me feel that way. They always went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. I plan on living in this home for 5-7 years. My next home will be new construction and pool concepts will definitely be apart of it. Thanks again Jason, Dre, and Ryan!

We love our pool!! First time pool owner. Everyone at Pool Concepts provided us with great service from planning to finish. Our designer and salesperson, Jason Ordaz, listened to everything we wanted for our pool and made sure we were satisfied before putting the plan in place. Jason and everyone in the office made us feel like family, we never felt pressured about purchasing the pool! Our project Supervisor Dre was outstanding, keeping us in the loop as the project progressed and made sure we didn't have any questions. We were extremely impressed withthe professionalism of the crews who worked on the pool. Each crew was courteous and respectful! We love showing off our little peace of paradise to everyone we know. I was extremely happy that I selected Pool Concepts over four other pool construction companies. The professionalism and punctuality of their crews, and the responsiveness and professionalism shown by their project manager and the workers was exceptional. It was readily apparent that every crew member not only knew their job, but also took a great deal of pride in delivering a high quality product. I was impressed by the quality of the work and the attention to detail demonstrated by every individual during construction of my pool. I feel that I got tremendous value for my money. Pool Concepts built our pool 8 years ago. The design process was great! the construction went well. We were impressed with the quality of the equipment and layout of the plumbing. They had a great post install "Pool School" to explain proper maintenance. After 4 years, we added the automated system and upgraded the pool lighting system, which is awesome. They have always been polite and responsive. I recommended them to a new neighbor building a pool.

Pool Concepts team was very professional from start to finish. They were very accommodating especially when it came to the design in the outer area of the pool. They provided us with different options which were all very good. Anytime we had questions they would respond quickly. Every step of the construction was on schedule. The different teams on every aspect of my pool construction were very professional. We have gotten so many compliments on the pool design and construction. This is why we always recommend Pool Concepts to family and friends.

We did our due diligence and discussed a pool installation with several companies. Chris, at Pool Concepts, worked with us to develop a beautiful design that fit our small space and our budget. Chris recommended an in-floor pool cleaning system which has been a fantastic upgrade. Other companies designed a rectangular box with little thought to design. His initial design sold us on Pool Concepts.
Once we decided to move forward, our overall experience was that the company did quality work and the workmanship on all aspects of the construction was top notch. The subcontractors, especially Ray, were easy to work with and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to have them at our home. Not only did they construct our pool but did hardscaping as well, installing a sitting (patio) area and moving stairs on our back porch area. Marisa was a pleasure to work with on the design and really appreciated her expertise. She listened to our ideas and guided us to a beautiful, finished product.
Construction of this magnitude always has some issues. Time was the first issue. It took 9 months from beginning of the dig to finished product. Considering that it took us 7 months to build the house, this did seem a bit excessive. Communication with the Project Manager was not as consistent as it should have been and increased my frustration. I initiated calls more often than I received them, but in the end, I am so pleased with the design, quality, and functionality of the pool. It was worth the wait!! I would recommend Pool Concepts by Pete Ordaz to anyone looking to build a pool.

First, everyone I dealt with at Pool Concepts was very professional and helpful in helping my wife and I understand our options and how the project would go forward. To that end, our pool looks simply amazing and my wife and I could not be happier.

I want to address what I think is the most important aspect … which was not the price. It is important to know that the price we paid was less than the two other quotes we received from two highly reputable pool repair and renovation companies. What was really stand out was the communication we had from Brad. He kept us informed of what was happening and what to expect at each stage of the game. Invariably, weather had a small negative impact on our schedule but Brad was always there to address those concerns and keep us informed. I assure you that being kept informed and knowing what was always going on minimized any anxiety we would normally have experienced. If Brad knew something we did not … he told us. If we knew something he did not, he was always available and responded quickly to ensure everything was kept on track. This was a big job (for us) and Brad was ALWAYS on top of it. Money is one thing … but excellent customer care is simply the most important aspect to any business arrangement. Brad serves as a powerful testament to the values and professionalism of your company.

Building a pool was big decision for us however, we have been so happy that we decided to build with Pool Concepts! In the beginning they were so up front with everything from timelines, expectations, and there commitment to making our dreams a reality. We knew when we started the process it was crazy due to COVID. We had to be patient because of supply and demand issues but again we were thankful that it was all discussed up front so when things came up we felt totally prepared. We absolutely love our pool and spa! The design is perfect for our family and our needs. They truly have made our vision and dreams a reality! I had Pool Concepts design and install my pool back in 2006 and have enjoyed it immensely. So I chose to go back to them recently for the needed renovations. They did an excellent job with the refinish, new tile, and needed repairs to the water feature (including running new lines for LED lights) and updated the rusted fire pit. Everything turned out amazing! Brad was truly integral in making it a success! His communication and recommendations were great and he went the extra with hunting down the tile I wanted when it wasn’t readily available. He recommended and installed an automation update that I really love which provides me control of system via an app. Happy customer here!

First of all, let me say that our experience with Pool Concepts was absolutely fantastic! We did a lot of research on pool companies before we got started and ultimately, wisely chose Pool Concepts. From the very first day when we were getting quotes, Jason came out to our home and and started working on a design, with our budget in mind. I shopped around a bit and never felt nearly as comfortable with others in town. You won't find a nicer, hardworking and wanting to please it's customers, company. Once we finalized the deal and construction started, the entire crew was out to meet with us, introduce themselves, their roles and their contact info. From that point on, Ryan was our project manager and was on site overseeing progress on a very regular basis. Group text messages were sent throughout the entire process as to when crews would finish and the next phase would start. Ryan also went above and beyond standard customer service and made sure that our neighbors were taken care of. We had to remove a large section of fencing that we share with our neighbor and Ryan made sure to coordinate how we could temporarily secure the fence so that their dogs could still roam freely in their backyard during our construction. When it was discovered that the gate the neighbor was going to use didn't work properly, Ryan took it upon himself to go fix their gate so that our construction wouldn't interfere with their day to day lives, or at least as little as possible.

Each and every crew that showed up to do their specific job was very courteous, professional and above all, skilled at their trade. This was very evident because they were getting their jobs done in a very timely manner with consistent quality. Ryan and the quality control personnel were here checking the progress at multiple stages of construction and making changes as necessary or having any minor issues found, corrected immediately. Even our neighbors on the street have complemented our choice because of how professional, timely and beautiful the job went. If you're looking for a quality, local family owned company that cares about their customers and builds the highest quality pools for the money, you need look no further than Pool Concepts. Look into the fine print and details of the craftsmanship, you won't find this anywhere else. They also took great care in not disrupting the surrounding yards, neighbors, etc... And that meant a lot to us.

The construction is solid, using the larger steel to adhere the concrete. The flagstone is perfectly matched so that it's an even size all around. They even sanded the edges of the flagstone along the edge of the pool so that you don't feel the sharp edges entering and exiting the pool. You won't find this level of quality for the money anywhere else.

Having a pool built is a stressful and a time consuming job no matter what. But I can tell you that from the multiple people I talked to that have had this done, our experience was by far the best.

Very happy with our pool and I highly recommend Pool Concepts.

We initially called out Keith Zars and Cody Pools, but I didn't appreciate the salesmen not listening to what we wanted. They wanted to sell us pre-designed packages and they ignored where we wanted to place the pool. Pool Concepts was the only company to listen to what we wanted and provide us with a designer to design what we had envisioned - at no extra cost. They were also less expensive and I believe the end-product would've exceeded the much more expensive Keith Zars and Cody Pools.

I first thought the time it took to complete the project took a while, but I heard many others (using different companies) had much longer completion times for similar size pools.

The team was great. They educated us about their materials so we can make an informed decision. I was especially impressed with our project manager, Kristi. Anytime I pointed out some things that didn't seem right she immediately made it her priority to fix it - this included breaking apart was done and redoing it on their own dime.

Pool Concepts really did a great job on our pool. The design was exactly what we wanted and came in at our budget. They really took the time with us to make sure it was customized to our liking. Jason and his team of professionals made sure my family will have a great pool for years to come.

Overall, I was very disappointed in working with Pool Concepts. Their design work was impressive; however, communication and project execution were extremely poor and lacking. I would rate their quality as below average at best. Pool Concepts just went through too many project managers and stone crews for a successful job. They all blamed their predecessors for the poor quality and problems. I would not recommend or use again in the future.

I have attempted to contact your office and subsequently provided you with a letter dated February 24, 2025, that provides more detailed information and photos supporting my review. You may be confusing our pool project with another. We had multiple project managers, and I was never made aware that one fell ill. I am sorry to hear that.
Regarding my comment concerning poor quality, many of the flagstones have come completely detached and require repair for safety. As noted, several of the stone crews used by Pool Concepts blamed the previous crews of not using the appropriate mortar or properly wetting the stones prior to laying them. Regardless of fault, we were left with a defective product that needs repair. Water is currently leaking through the spillway (negative edge) and running out “through” the flagstone wall. This concern was previously discussed with Pool Concepts and I was assured the water was just running along the joints. This has turned out incorrect and requires immediate repair. We also identified in our performance of warranty work letter dated September 25, 2023, that the cracks in the brown coat needed to be repaired and the exterior decking needed to be repainted due to the different shades of brown coat being used by Pool Concepts for repairs. While several of the cracks were repaired, the decking was never repainted as requested and required.
My review was provided solely for the purpose that others in the swimming pool market could have the benefit of our experience in making an important decision that typically involves a significant sum of money. I'm sure Pool Concepts has other projects that were completed satisfactorily, and customers were pleased, unfortunately our project was not one of them.

I highly recommend using Pool Concepts. Our dream pool was built by Pool Concepts in 2018 and we have enjoyed every minute of having a pool. The after service has been excellent and I am so happy we chose this company. There are many companies out there to build pools but quality is very important and will the company be there for you in the future are questions that you need to ask when choosing a builder. Pool Concepts has been a pleasure to work with.

When we finally decided to take the plunge, the team at Pool Concepts worked diligently to ensure that every step of the process was stress free. We had a limited space and some technical challenges to overcome but the great people at Pool Concepts over delivered in creating our backyard oasis. From design elements to color schemes to functionality, the great team at Pool Concepts got it right. They over communicated, outperformed timeline estimates and made our dreams to reality. Our pool is over engineered, functions flawlessly and is absolutely stunning. I wholeheartedly recommend Pool Concepts if you’re in the market for not just a pool but a backyard oasis.

Gerry came out and was already on the roof when I arrived at the property. He never stops moving, giving brief feedback while moving between tasks. I was impressed with how thorough he was in inspecting everything - roof, foundation, interior walls, plumbing fixtures and appliances.
At the end - you sit down and go through the pictures and any issues with him. He provided the thermal imaging at no additional cost for my inspection, which revealed a leak in the HVAC system in the attic. Something that would have cost money had I not been aware of it.

I've dealt with a couple home inspectors recently, and this guy would be my first choice for any future purchase. His inspections are easily worth double what he charges.
