I had a wonderful encounter with this business. Their expert and comprehensive chimney sweep service in Houston was provided. The team performed an excellent job and showed up on schedule.

Cody finished his early job and called to see if the appointment could be move up an hour earlier. Cody and his helper arrived and listened to my thoughts and began surveying the job. They began work showed me pictures of the lint buildup in the dryer vent and showed me pictures once the work was completed. Pleased with the work, excellent communications and professional workers. Price was as originally quoted.

We've been using Lords Chimney since we bought our house five years ago. They did some repairs inside and out after our home inspection, and we've had annual inspection ever since. Very friendly, reliable, and keep my house very clean while they work. I like that they have long term employees so I see familiar faces each time. I recommend them to everyone!

We had not used our fireplace since we bought our house in 2009 because the home inspection listed a problem with the "hips" which our contractor fixed. We just didn't use it because we didn't feel safe doing so until it was inspected and didn't act on it for no reason other than I didn't know whom to call. FINALLY, I did some research to find a certified chimney sweep & came across 2 companies locally, but in the other one, only the owner was certified so I called Lord's where there techs are certified too. We had extensive work done to fix a myriad of problems. The chimney tile mortar had cracks so it had to be relined to be safe - we saw pictures of the problems. In the firebox the back wall was unstable & loose because of water damage so that had to be rebuilt. We also had to have the outside brickwork tuck pointed and waterproofed to stop water causing damage in the future. The gas logs were cracked and broken so we bought a new set. Because everything had to set & dry, we're looking forward to using our fireplace tonight even if we have to turn the AC on to enjoy it. We are pleased with the work. Marlin did the complete inspection, tuck pointing, water proofing & installation of the new logs. He had great communication & kept us aware of all aspects of the job. Ivan took great care rebuilding the back wall which was a difficult because our home was built in 1978. Both Marlin & Ivan represented Lord's very well. Our only negative was some soot on the carpet, but I have an appointment with Oops to take care of that.

Jon and his associate were outstanding, diligent, and attentive to their work. Jon was incredibly flexible with my (the customer's) busy schedule, explained everything thoroughly, and was extremely knowledgeable about the product lines and services available. Moreover, their execution of the job matched their knowledge. Bottom line: these guys are great and are my go-to for any fireplace/chimney issues I may encounter in the future. Based upon their expertise, responsiveness, and customer service, I would highly recommend Lord's to anyone needing chimney sweep or fireplace installation services in our area.

Most Professional staff in the business! They have a flexible schedule to make sure they work around your needs. The technician/specialist gives you a courtesy call before they head your way. Once he arrives he's in uniform with an I.D. tag so you know exactly who you're inviting into your home. They assess the issue and give a more then fair bid. Lords Chimney hands down has the BEST Customer Service I've ever experienced.

Called Lords Chimney to come service our gas fireplace. Lee, our technician, did an excellent job of servicing our fireplace. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions. Resolved all of our issues. We will definitely use them for the maintenance of our fireplace. Will definitely recommend them to family and friends.

During Harvey our chimney leaked. To prevent it from happening again, we wanted to have it repaired. They replaced the cap, waterproofed the chimney & did a tuneup of the fireplace. I liked that they sent a photo of the technician Jonathan with his credentials before he arrived. He was very professional, courteous and informative. He arrived promptly & left things very tidy. I would recommend them highly!

I contacted Lords seeking an inspection and cleaning. The young man they sent seemed surprised by everything he encountered in the inspection and ultimately told me it would cost $20,000 to get my fireplace working safely. The details of the quote didn't make sense so I got a second opinion. Turns out my fireplace/flu/chimney were perfectly safe and Lords was using scare tactics to try and get me to rebuild something that is perfectly safe. The cost of the other company's visit to inspect, clean and perform a minor repair was less than Lords charged to give me an outrageous quote and not even perform a cleaning.

This is the second time I’ve used it first when I bought the house so I was secure with the fireplace.
Great service cleanliness and totally experienced.

Then I had a fire in the fireplace during the ice storm in February. Since I’ve been there before and I was happy I called him again.

Was just as happy as I wasn’t first time. At this time I found out why using them again I have proof that the fireplace was working and in good order so I would not have a problem with the insurance company.

Had pictures of when I moved in to show it was in working order. Did not know how important that would be and I think that inspector for also give me the knowledge.

I would recommend them anytime anytime I need them again they’ll be the first cycle even if I decide to upgrade my fireplace which I might.

Marlon did an awesome job for us. He arrived right on time, was a great communicator, figured out the issue very quickly and made the repair. Sure wish every service call was this good! Can’t say enough good things about Marlon and Lords.

The technicians that came out were very professional and courteous. I can't give them a higher rating since I was disappointed in the numerous phone calls and emails trying to get a call back from the salesman that initially told us we had a problem and what the repairs needed would cost. I never spoke directly to him, his responses were made through their telephone representatives.

Interesting just saw they thanked me for a "5 star review," hmm, apparently they didn't pay that close attention to my post.

Lord's Chimney was great. Just happened to see one of their trucks in our neighborhood. We needed some attention to our chimney, I thought what the heck, I'll call. Antony came out on a Wednesday, gave us assessment what our chimney needed & we agreed on his recommendation. Basically, it took a day for them to fabricate a cap. So, by Friday they had replaced our old cap & solved our problem. Antony & his crew from office personel to techs were superb. I highly recommend them.

The technician arrived on time and fully prepared to work. He inspected and diagnosed the problem quickly and proposed a good solution which was scheduled for the following day. The experience and the materials used gave me a lot of confidence. I would recommend this group highly.

Lords Chimney did a thorough inspection of our fireplace and chimney, showed us photos of possible problem areas, and made sound recommendations for repairs and preventive maintenance. Many of the same issues had been pointed out to us during a recent roofing job. Marlon and Jack were courteous and professional at all times. I am so pleased with the service from Lords Chimney. They notified me the day before by e-mail and text of my appointment the next day, then an hour before they came, I received a text message with photo of serviceman. Excellent explanations with pictures of service to my vent. Clean up of house was thorough after cleaning vent. I will definitely use Lords Chimney in the future and will request Marlon again.

If I could give this business and technician 10 stars I would. I was scheduled to have my dryer vent cleaned between 11:00 and 2:00 Jack Weidman the tech called me and asked if he could come early, I said yes because it worked in my favor because I had so much laundry to do. My dryer was taking to long to dry, so my son who is a home inspector told me I needed to get my dryer vent cleaned. I did my research and read reviews and I came across this company, from start to finish these people were professionals. The most impressive thing about this company is, they send you a photo of your technician along with a brief summary about him. He was very thorough, professional, considerate, and manner-able. My dryer dries on the 1st time. He and my son told me that dirty dryer vents could be a fire hazard.

Not only was my fireplace inspected and serviced today, I was educated on how it all really works. There was no oversell as with other companies and the inspection was complete with a camera sent up the flu - it wasn't an inspection don't just by eye.
Lee, the technician, was extremely professional and personable. He gave me all the information I needed to make a decision about what to have done. If I ever need more service done to my fireplace I will, without a doubt, use Lord's Chimney again and I will recommend them to anyone I know who needs service.

Excellent work done by the technician who visited the premise. He knew exactly what needed to be done for the chimney crown and made other helpful suggestions. Also, looked at my problem with the fireplace and took care of it in no time.

We have a 12 y/o house with woodburning fireplace that's never been cleaned (only 4 years of the 12 involved fires in the fireplace). Called and scheduled a cleaning/inspection. Wasn't able to get a spot without a 2 week wait, but I suppose that means these guys are busy.
I can see why. Tech's name was Miguel, and he showed up to the minute on time, was careful about not making a mess and not only was he knowledgeable, he was happy to share that knowledge as I picked his brain. Overall, very please with service, timing, and courtesy shown by Miguel. Will be back, and I can definitely recommend.
