Concrete Contractor reviews in Houston, Texas

I had them rebuild a retaining wall 2 years ago. I paid half up front and they never completed the job. They refuse to finish till I pay the other half which was not to be paid until they finished. The retaining wall that was complete has holes in them.

Terrible service, inaccurate review, stay away. I talked to Chris over the phone to schedule an appointment but he wasn't able to call or communicate effectively. I gave him an engineering report but he did not pass it on for the assessment, I was asked at the assessment to get a report, he only looked at the house for one moment then said it needed repair. Their assessment was inconsistent with other companies. don't waste your time.

The Rep who came to my house for an estimate was very kind and persuasive. He explained things in a very easy to understand manner with a drawing of how it was going to be put in. When the 'workers' arrived, I knew I was in trouble. Only 1 spoke English and he was the only one with a drivers license so he was running back and forth to Home Depot the entire time they were here. They had NO IDEA of what they were doing and I had to go and intervene more than once. They dug the trench 2 feet from where it was supposed to go and would have been very detrimental if I had not made them move it. Because the ground was so wet having 2 newly covered trenches made for a muddy mess. They were supposed to put rocks around my pavers and that did not happen. After they had been here for more than 5 hours, the 811 rep knocked on my door telling me they were NOT supposed to be digging yet. A cable had been cut thankfully we could not find where this cable went. The little vents they put in are way too high and now interfere with lawn mowing. I contacted my service rep without response. I am unable to get anyone to care about the work done. NEVER NEVER ever use Abry Brothers. They are scammers!

Initial work was poor, foundation is starting to sink. It has been less than 4 years since initial work. I have been trying to get Abry Bro.s to honor their lifetime foundation warranty, but have only received headaches and multiple cancelled appointments. Appointments cancelled without notice, company simply doesn't show up. My wife and I have lost wages taking time off for these appointments, but Abry Bro.s doesn't seem to care. I only want them to keep their word, honor their warranty and stand behind their work. Found out that Abry Bro.s recently lost their Better Business Bureau accreditation in July 2015 for not honoring warranty and for over 15 filed claims just this year alone. Don't waste your time with this company, they will only scam you.

Called and requested a quote. They did not show up or call to say they were not coming. After contacting them myself I was told there was an emergency and the inspector/salesman was not able to come out. We rescheduled again for 2 weeks later. Again they did not show and did not call. I contacted them again and got no response to my message. I have seen reviews that they only want to deal with large jobs, the other quotes we got for the work ranged from $15,000 to $25,000. I think this would be big enough to warrant an estimate. At least a phone call, granted they would not know since they did not bother to show up at either appointment.

I hired Abry brothers to do some drainage work installing yard basins and drain lines. They came highly recommended. Too bad they couldn't live up to that recommendation. They did not do the work correctly and I had to hire another company to come back out and fix everything. Do not hire this company. Also when I complained again I was told that the owner of the company would contact me. That never happened either. Guess that's the kind of business they run. Sad..

Why I didn't already write a post about this company is beyond me, I guess at the time I was too busy trying to get them to stand behind their work...they did...WAY BEHIND! PLEASE, please take our advise and RUN,RUN,RUN. After $32000. Our house has holes in the flooring( that we patched)where rotten supports gave way, 2 sump pumps do not work causing our floor to buckel in EVERY ROOM! Cannot get any redemption.I wish I could find someone filing a class action lawsuit so we could join!

Was very impressed with the professionalism of Abry Brothers. The guys working at my home have been great. Very helpful and reassuring to me. going to miss them!
My Home's foundation was in terrible condition. I received estimates from all the major companies, but chose Abry Brothers based on the professional and through method of evaluating the repairs required and explaining the repair process. My decision turned out to be well founded as the work crews and repairs were also completed as promised and all Abry Brothers employees were courteous and professional in completing the project. -
We had a very good experience with this company. It's been a long time since we have had our pier and beam home leveled, and the process has come along way. They use technology along with good old hard work and knowledge of what occurs and what is needed to correct the issue. We had a minor issue that we found after the crew left, I called and sent a picture of the issue to Michael and he sent the guys back out the next day. They fixed it and made it right. I would highly recommend this company!

These people supposedly did foundation repair on my home in the Spring of 2020. Their work was subpar, and my complaints were never addressed. $20,000 for 800 s.f. of my home and now the entire house needs leveled. Save your money and save your stress by not hiring these crooks.

Im a realtor trying to get warranty info for the new buyer and help the sellers locate their current warranty. Ive waited almost 2 weeks for the info. Every time I call, it’s a 3rd party service answering and cannot give any details. The system will let you know they have 9 seconds left to speak and hang up on you. Good luck trying to speak to the same person again. I’ve NEVER had this many problems getting a hold of a foundation company. If I could leave 0 stars, I would! Don’t walk, run from this company. Inspection report had multiple issues with the work they did not long ago. Still waiting for a call back…

Wet professional service and worked with me beyond expectations. I have Sundek around my pool and it needed repair, resurfacing and recoating. They provided a quality finished product. I would recommend them. thanks Steve M.

Overall it came out like we wanted. But to get to this point was one of the most frustrating things I have ever had to deal with. I signed the contract on Aug of 2021. Was told we would be on the schedule for December. I thought was excessive but oh well. Some time shortly after I signed the contract my salesman left the company. We got passed around several times. I started calling in November to find out if we were still on schedule. To then find out we weren’t even on the schedule, they still hadn’t produced a sample for us. Long story short we didn’t get our pool decking done until Mid-March of 2022. So I guess if you have 9 months t months to wait these are your guys. They were the most reasonable on price though. Because of how we were handled I’m not sure I could recommend them.

Sundek came highly recommended by two different landscape companies. My project was surfacing my large back patio. My salesperson came out and we discussed the project. My biggest concern was leveling the patio as we had a spot where water gathered. I was assured this would be done. When the project was completed I noticed leveling was not done. The installation crew (the most professional part of this experience) told me they noticed it needed leveling and even went back and contacted the office regarding this. The crew was told it wasn't part of the work order. You would think right there that perhaps my salesperson would reach out to me. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only issue. The joint mastic was poured on a windy day. This caused drifting and unevenness. The installation crew was not happy with the end result and said it would need to be torn out and redone. This also was never done. Instead, apparently they were told to fix it, so they came out with a razor blade and hacked away at the drifted areas. Now it is just a choppy mess and the color is mismatched. My salesperson came out (all he wants at this point is final payment and doesn't seem to care about quality) and painted over one section of the mismatched mastic. He called and asked for payment. I told him he only did one section. He did leave paint and I thought about doing it myself. I thought better and texted him to finish it. He never responded. I'm sure Sundek delivers a quality product. It seems like my salesperson really dropped the ball. I have to add, when I pointed out they forgot to level, the offered to redo it for another $1,200 (it is a very small section). I declined that offer. With two major mishaps it would have been nice for the owner to reach out. Instead, all I get is my salesperson asking for final payment.
3/11/21. I am updating and editing my review because Jonathon with Sundek came out to review the job and made everything right. I appreciate his concern for customer satisfaction and a job done properly. A telltale sign of any company is how they deal with issues, and Sundek came through. -
Love my new Sundek! I expanded the size of the patio on a home we recently purchased and while I loved the new size, the mismatched concrete was an eyesore. Steve was great at explaining the options so we could choose the right one for us, then Jordan and Jesus applied the new texture perfectly! It looks so much better! I love being in my backyard now. Thanks guys! And thank you Sundek.

I am DELIGHTED with the work SUNDEK did ou the pool spray deck that had become old and weathered. They power-washed the deck, then primed and refinished it beautifully, replacing the mastic and protecting the surrounding area. The team of workers were friendly and professional. Couldn't be happier.

Sundek cleaned and sealed my driveway and walkway. Excellent sales Rep and crew. On time, great work, and they took weather conditions into account, scheduled the project accordingly, and finished without weather issues. Looks great and we are extremely happy with Sundek.

SUNDEK has lived up to their billing. When we had an issue with our Outdoor Kitchen Patio, they came right out and fixed it just like they said. They didn't hesitate or try to give us any excuses on why they couldn't come out or ask us if it was anything that we did wrong. SUNDEK is a great company that lives up to their word. We all know that things can happen to where things can go wrong after a few weeks or a few months. The point is having a very reputable and reliable company to come to your home and do the job and that company is SUNDEK. SUNDEK don't sell you a DREAM. SUNDEK keeps their WORD on what they tell you. We really appreciate SUNDEK. Thanks

Sundek refurbished our patio and pool deck. They applied SunStone coating in a Versailles pattern. The finished product looks superb and the quality of the work is EXCELLENT.
I absolutely recommend them for performing this type of coating work. -
My Rep [Steve Mergler] was great. Explained everything in detail & answered all my questions/concerns. They resurfaced my pool deck. Very professional , covered surface s to protect from overplayed, and cleaned up after the project. Definitely will use SUNDEK for future projects!

Bullion Coatings did a stamped concrete rehab for us on our patio around our pool, and I would say we are as pleased if not more pleased with the outcome than the original decking. We use our outdoor space a lot and the sun and pool water from usage is not kind to the surface. Despite following the recommendations of the company of the initial product to reseal along with recommended frequency the stamped concrete was fading and flaking and looking much older than it was. Jonathan from Bullion Coatings came out to give me my options and answered my questions from that day until I turned over the final payment at completion. They are busy and it took a while to get done, but we feel the time to get on the schedule to ensure the crew was available, weather was agreeable, and all was worth the wait to get it done right.
