Constraction reviews in Houston, Texas

I was really impressed with the quality of work that was performed. I had a drain snaked and under kitchen repair. He also tightened up the garbage disposal so it would fall. Thank you.

AHS assigned my work order to Dnb Home Services. They came our on November 23, 2024. I know the 1/2 bath toilet, which is rarely used, has a hair-line crack and evidence of a slow leak due to the stains around the toilet and some of the grout. Still the technician said it's not leaking so nothing needs to be done. I called AHS and they said I have to pay again $100 to have a plumber come out again.
If you are looking for a quality plumber, Dnb Home Services is not it. Run!! -
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My home warranty sent them so if you have the option of not using them DONT. It took them two weeks to fix our leak coming from our up stairs shower. The first guy who came to take a look was actually really nice, Jameson. He informed us how the process would work. Said it would be a two man job. They would come out have to cut some holes in the ceiling to get to the leak. After the leak was repaired said that they have to wait three days to come back to fix the holes just to make sure the problem was fixed. Well they came out to fix the leak but it was a new guy and an apprentice, my wife asked them when they would fix the hokes in the ceiling and he said “we are just demolition we don’t fix the sheet rock”
Terrible customer service. They will never answer the phone either.
Finally getting a new contacted to come out and fix the holes. -
Our water heater was leaking and I notified my warranty company. They sent out DNB services to check the problem. Jim came out and did a thorough inspection of the old water heater and said it would have to be replaced. We agreed to some extra charges that would make the new hot water heater even better and safer. They scheduled a day and time for the new heater and they were on time and Bryan did an excellent job and was very nice. Hats off to the owner for having well trained employees. I would use this company again.

Rating: 2.8 out of 5 starts
First off, don’t let the one-star or five-star reviews mislead you—those ratings are exaggerated. If I could, I would give this plumbing company 2.8 stars.
I was assigned this company through my home warranty provider. While the job eventually got done, the experience was far from smooth.
Let’s start with communication. The woman who answers the phone clearly uses speakerphone, making it extremely difficult to hear her. Communication was poor from the start — for that alone, I’d give 0 out of 5 stars.
When the plumber came out initially, he barely spoke to me. He quickly assessed the situation and said I needed a new water heater. That was fine — I agreed. But when installation day came, the plumber caused damage to my property that wasn’t there before and refused to fix it. Two plumbers came that day, and after they left, I had a leak.
The next morning, a third plumber arrived to fix the leak — and thankfully, he did. However, the damage they caused during the initial installation (drywall mess, etc.) was ignored. I was told they don’t handle that. But my point is: if you don’t fix it, why did you damage it in the first place?
Due to their carelessness, I now have to hire a separate contractor for drywall repairs — an issue that didn’t exist before they came. For that level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability, I would again give zero stars.
In total, it took three plumbers and three visits to complete what should’ve been a straightforward water heater replacement. While the issue is finally resolved, the journey to get there was frustrating and unnecessarily drawn out.
I would not recommend this company. If your warranty company assigns them, I strongly suggest requesting a different provider. This company needs to seriously review their customer service practices and job execution standards. -
Today I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in my life from a home repairman/plumber. DNB sent out a repairman, he was an older gentleman with white hair. The minute he walked into my home he was so rude and disrespectful that I couldn’t tell if he was joking or not. I told him that I was working but if he needed anything he could come to my desk and his response was “I can’t tell but, ok” I laughed it off because I thought he was joking. This man was in my home working on my garbage disposal and was calling people trying to figure out a way to be able to charge me outside of my warranty. Once he was done he came to my desk tapping his pen on his clipboard aggressively telling me he needed my “autograph” without even telling me if my issue was resolved or not. I asked him if he had fixed it (still thinking that he just had different kind of sense of humor than I’m accustomed to) and he said “YOU HAVE A NEW GARBAGE DISPOSAL, IS THAT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU?” I called my husband in shock as the man was still sitting outside of my home. My husband called and left a message with the company. We have not heard anything back yet. I hope anyone who is considering hiring these people for service, PLEASE RUN, DONT WALK

We had DNB Home Services come out through our home warranty company for a leaking disposal, and Jimmy was the technician who helped us. He communicated clearly that he was running late from earlier appointments, which we really appreciated, and kept us updated along the way. Once he arrived, he was very friendly, thorough, and completed the repair quickly. He even noticed another issue that needed attention and fixed that, too. On top of that, he gave us helpful tips on preventative care to avoid future leaks and water damage. Excellent service—professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. We would absolutely use Jimmy and DNB Home Services again.

American Home Shield had this company come out for a leak. They came out twice and each time i hoped that the issue was fixed. Either a new leak or the existing one came back 10 or so minutes after they left. They either never fixed the leak or they kept causing a new one. After the second time, they said that it was a dishwasher issue and American Home Shield wants me to pay again for another service request. It wasnt leaking from this area when i had originally started the request.

Highly ethical and fair pricing. One of the plumbing vendors we have had assigned from Home Warranty Companies who do not make their attempts to rape the customer for add-ons when replacing a covered item. We have used them for more than a decade to work on rental homes in the area. They have completed hundreds of work orders for us. A great group of honest people.

Would recommend. We made a call for a toilet leakage issue and Ryan handled it expertly. He was friendly, knowledgeable and informative. He quickly identified the cause and resolved it to my satisfaction. I'm very happy with the results and I'll likely call on DNB for future plumbing situations if the need arises.

Arthur and his team did a great job for me.. I'm an experienced investor and own a real estate brokerage. I first found him about a year ago and ended up not using him at the time but he made a good first impression with his feedback and bid. I finally had another job on an older 1920's duplex in the East End and he came through. The house was about 5 inches low in the back and he estimated 2 days worth of work. Very competitive price and not the ideal amount of crawlspace for his team, but he made it work. It took 3 days because he took his time to get it right and didn't rush it. It gave the home the lift and support it needed, and left the job site clean... I'm now having him come out for a 2nd job at a new construction job in Independence Heights. He already gave me a good bid and we're going to start next week.. Definitely recommend him if you want an honest opinion from someone that's not just trying to screw you over for a quick buck.
UPDATE: I've now recommended Arthur and his team to clients, and he has actually told us that a home does NOT need repairs and recommended improvements instead, when he could have easily tried to upsell a job. Much appreciated! -
Exceptional company. Arthur and his guys were prompt, did excellent work and communited well I can't recommend them enough.
To be honest, I had little hope of getting the house leveled completely, it was out 4" in some spots and he got everything to within about 1/4". -
