After posting my one star review, I was contacted by Nick, who asked me to explain what happened. He stated his employee had a medical issue and that’s why he didn’t reach out or come to the second appointment previously scheduled - this didn’t curtail my feelings about the employee considering he had an excuse for not showing up the first time. However, Nick expressed his apologies and we scheduled for him to come out the next week and he actually showed up. He was professional and provided his estimate very quickly. I informed him of a missing item and he revised the estimate immediately. I appreciated the fact that he cared about my experience and made sure to address my request for an estimate the same day. This is rare for a company to do.

I filled out a request for an estimate online with this company. Days later someone named Karim reaches out and sets a date to come to my house. We decided on a Monday due to his availability. However, that Friday he calls to say he’s running late but will be at my house at 6p. I remind him that we scheduled for Monday. He apologizes. Monday comes and he texts to say he’s not going to make it at the set time. We reschedule for this past Wednesday (6/15/22) and he texts at 4:09p that he doesn’t think he’s going to make it at the scheduled time (5p) but he’ll let me know. Never heard from him. It’s sad when you’re trying to spend your hard earned money with a company and they waste your time.

Sam and his team were great. He is knowledgeable and goes the extra mile every time. His cost is also very competitive and they do high quality work. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get any type of flooring done.

We had our entire hardwood floor replaced which can cause some obvious stress in the system. Nick from Petra Flooring & Blinds went out of his way to ensure we had the correct information on hand to make a decision. As a result, we actually split our floor into two area, i.e. hardwood floor and another area which was tiled. The execution of installing the floor and tiles went flawless by being on budget, on schedule and meeting or exceeding our expectation in regards to quality. The level to detail was amazing. Finding Sam while building our house was a blessing. He is honest, knowledgeable, patient and always gave us great advice and spent a lot of time with us.

We bought Hunter Douglass PowerView shades and Sunland shutters from Petra Flooring & Blinds. We are very happy with the result. We had minor installation problems with the Hunter Douglass PowerView shades, but Sam promptly took care of it to our satisfaction. In addition, we purchased tile through Sam and had it promptly delivered with no issues. Best of all, their prices are very competitive, you'll get a great deal, great quality and great service. We will definitely come back when it's time to put hardwood floors in our house.

2 years ago ,I bought from them nice bathroom tile but I was really stupid hiring a cheap tile installer that really did job .
So in January 2020 I remodeled my kitchen ,& I decided to contact a big contractor, I received several bids & I choose Petra not because they were the cheapest(they ere in between) but because they guaranteed their work & they promessed they will not leave until we are happy .

So Ms Susan ,the sales lady in the office is always nice & took us to many show rooms to choose the material & she is extremely patient & helpfull.
But I wanted to present a nice & honest opinion about Nick ,I really loved his honesty & kindness & sincerely He is humain before anything,I mean for h money comes last & in our days it’s very hard to find .
He was extremely nice ,professional & on top of every crew he sent. I even had a very late delivery but a cabinet company that missed up the whole sccedulle but he still did not give up on me on worked with me to finish my project.
My wife is not easy to please ,but she loves the new kitchen & fire place & even helped fixed other things .

For the last 3 years, we had 4 busted tiles in our kitchen floor that was driving my wife and I crazy. Unfortunately, the tiles were discontinued and we could not find it anywhere. Since that happened, we always felt we wanted to change the flooring on our first floor anyway. The first floor had a combination of carpet, tile, and wood for each room. In my opinion, it was gross. However, we received a good recommendation from a friend to called Nick.

He came to the house and immediately knew what caused the tiles to buckle and break. It was a lack of thinset mortar. After he measured our living area, my wife showed Nick the few selections we liked. But, we did not know which way to go. He took his time in educating us on our selections and provided us with other selections with better quality. After several trips, we finally made a decision on our flooring selection. He provided us a time line of the project and the cost of the materials. A few days later, Nick and his crew were off to the races. He and his crew were always on time, considerate of my work at home situation, and professional at all times. They never missed any details when installing our new flooring. For example, one of the planks of wood was slightly damaged and was not noticeable (at least in my eyes). Well, he removed the damaged plank and installed a new one. It was flawless.

Hands down! If you want you flooring done right-call Nick. He is professional, courteous, knowledgeable and provides awesome customer service.

WE ARE THRILLED WITH OUR FLOORS!

My husband and I walked into the small unassuming shop; right away we noticed that Sam was different than the sales person/manager in the 6 or 8 other shops we visited in a two-day span. Sam was attentive, knowledgeable at the same time not pushy. We started by purchasing a modest amount of shower/bathtub tiles and bathroom counter from Sam. Then we bought a larger amount of floor tiles. We were more impressed with Sam's service and pricing with each additional purchase. Unfortunately, we contracted a GC for the installation already. I wished we had Sam install them instead. Our final large purchase was two slabs of granite for our kitchen. Petra did the install. Sam made certain that we were happy at each stage of purchase and installation. Petra and Sam has been one of few happy spots during this Harvey induced renovation. If I had to do it all over again, I would have go straight to Sam for every bit of flooring, tiling, and counter work, material and installation. I think I will be heading to Sam for some blinds and window covering soon. Just love the place.

Petra Flooring did a great job installing hardwood floors and carpeting. Their service was prompt and well executed. We are very happy with their services and will certainly connect with them again when we need new flooring or carpeting again. All around great service!

We ordered motorized Hunter Douglas shades and Sunland Poly Shutters from Petra. The process could not be any smoother. First, Sam is very knowledgeable. He is most willing to answer all of your questions and give you advice on what to do. On top of the shades and shutters I ordered, we wanted to do some new flooring. We have a newly built house and there was an area that had new carpet, but we wanted wood floors instead. Sam actually advised us to use the carpet for now since it’s new and do the wood floors down the road when the carpet looks a bit old. Who in this time gives advice that would actually make him lose business!!! This showed me that Sam only tells you what he thinks is right, no matter if it causes him to lose your business. From that moment I trusted him. I also checked the prices of the shades and shutters at other certified dealers of Hunter Douglas, and his price was by far the best. His installers are great as well. Go with Petra and will not regret it. They genuinely care about their customers.

I used Petra's flooring services twice and both times received high quality results. The work was done in time and with a good attention to customer's needs. I liked the transparency and accuracy of the pricing terms as well. The quotes were competitive and very favorable for me being a loyal customer. I was satisfied with Petra's services and will use them again in my new home this time.

Karim and his team were excellent! We obtained estimates from several highly rated companies for the same carpet. His pricing was very reasonable and their installation of new carpet for 2nd floor was perfect! They cleaned up and vacuumed each area afterwards and made sure we were completely satisfied with theor work. We would highly recommend them for any carpeting needs.
