Former Bartlett arborist Erik Belcher treated my grapefruit tree last year for leaf miners using a product Meritt 2F that was not intended for grapefruit bc its a systemic treatment absorbed by the fruit and I wasn't told about it and I ate the fruit with the chemical ... Incredible an arborist would not know this info...this company is hard core driven by sales at any cost...I complained to manager Gene and he said he wouldn't use Meritt 2F on a grapefruit treebut that Erik was inexperience and no longer employed with Bartlett. So beware if you had fruit tree with leaf miners treated you had poison on the fruit.not a reputable company or excuse...

No Call, No show.

They came by several weeks ago to look at a tree I had for pruning and gave a reasonable estimate. I had to follow up twice to get scheduled and on the day they were supposed to arrive - NO show. No call to confirm.

Sent an email asking for an update - NO response.
Called the office - Voicemail.
Called Garrett, the arborist who provided a quote - Voicemail.

Whatever you do, don't pay up front (I didn't) for these guys. Very disappointing.

They did a fabulous job trimming and shaping up the two trees in my front yard! Highly recommended if you care about your trees. Communication and scheduling was frustrating, so that's why four instead of five stars. But the actual tree work, definitely five stars.

Really happy with the service. We have about 17 trees on our property and Eric was able to not only identify all but also let me know what they needed and if they were healthy. He was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I will definitely use them again.

Unprofessional. This company does not return voice messages or emails. Called and left a detailed message on Friday, September 22. Followed up the same day with an email and pictures of the affected trees and leaves. Today, is Wednesday, September 27. This company didn’t even have the professional courtesy to return my call all or reply to my email. Perhaps this company does good work, but not responding to a customer diminishes any work they perform and is, in my opinion, unacceptable. Forget them.

We were very concerned when we hit hurricane season, as we had lived through Hurricane Ike and seen our neighbor's house completely bisected by the falling of a large, untended tree on their property. Ed Dolphin did a great job of taking out or trimming back trees as needed, and I like that he has such a wealth of knowledge! Look around your property - any of your trees look a little sickly? They can cause immense property damage!

Didn't even get an initial consultation, right off the bat they wanted $250 to come look at a tree. The person who I spoke with on the phone was an absolute delight, so for that Im not putting just one star. Though I guess the arborists think WAY highly of themselves to be charging such exorbitant prices. Definitely looking elsewhere.

Bartlett tree experts, it's all in the name.Bartlett has always had our best interest at heart while also at the same time ensuring that our ideas are the best for our trees as well. Bartlett has highly educated personnel. I would never use another tree company.

I couldn't have been more pleased with the job or professionalism of the Bartlett crew! Trees look fantastic and I would whole heartedly recommend Bartlett to anyone needing any type of tree services. We have used them for a number of years now and we've never had a bad experience.

After losing a tree and others on our property seeming stress too, Bartlett tree experts helped diagnose and treat a tree fungus threatening our oak tree line. This year the trees are already starting to show healthy growth, actually better than ever. Thanks Bartlett for helping us save our trees!

WORST TREE SERVICE COMPANY EVER !!!! I scheduled Bartlett to trim 3 oak trees. Before starting, I specifically asked them NOT to butcher my trees! Additionally, the supervisor pointed out 1 spot on one of the trees and told them to leave it alone. Then the supervisor disappeared. After being told twice, one of the men made a bee line straight to the tree and cut exactly where the supervisor and myself told him NOT to cut !!! I am still wondering if the man was drunk. As a result, he left a HUGE bare spot in one of the trees. These tree trimmers don't listen and don't follow instructions. For the exorbitant prices they charge, I was expecting much better. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE and I won't use them again. Other companies charge less and do a better job.

I highly recommend Bartlett. I received quotes from 4 different tree service providers. I choose Bartlett because they gave me a competitive price, their staff was friendly and knowledgeable, they are certified arborists and I knew they would treat my trees right. They kept in good contact and happily worked with me on adjustments to my bid.

For many years we had recurring issues with black mold on my Japanese Blueberry; since we have been using Bartlett Tree Experts the mold is now controlled. After an unfortunate & mysterious trimming our Magnolia trees went into massive shock. Bartlett has cared for the trees for the past 2 years and they are now regrowing beautifully. The staff takes time to discuss details of treatment plans and recommendations.They are professional and reliable and provide excellent services.

I called Bartlett Tree Experts because I had two large palm trees that were needing a good trim after about 9 months of neglect and a couple of winter freezes. I called Ed Dolphin and he came over to assess my request. While looking at my property, he noticed a couple of other large bushes/trees that needed a trim. He told me that the company would be in touch with an estimate and then we could arrange a time that was good for me. The proper emails were sent and appointment was arranged. The work done was professional and exactly as he described. I will continue to work with Bartlett Tree Experts in the future and Ed Dolphin is absolutely phenomenal! He was professional, knowledgeable and so kind. Thank you for such a positive experience.

Bartlett Tree Experts did an excellent job of pruning our trees. The crew were professional, knowledgeable and very nice. Gene (arborist) and the crew listened to my concerns about cutting our oak trees in the front. Prior to pruning the trees, they went over what branches would be trimmed or removed. They are true 'Tree Experts.' The trees look great. I will continue to use Bartlett Tree Experts to care for our trees and yard.

I have two Arizona Ash Trees that are near the end of their life cycle. I have taken excellent care of the trees during their lifetime, i.e., deep fertilization, deep watering, and treatment for bores. The trees are in excellent shape for their age, and I have been told they should last several more years into the future.
One of the trees had a limb that needed to come down. I got three expert tree companies to come out and evaluate what needed to be done, and give me a price. The estimates were all done at no charge.
I decided to go with Bartlett Tree Experts. Bartlett is well known, a good reputation; and the Arborist, Garret Lindsey who came out to evaluate my tree was very professional, knowledgeable, personable and punctual.
And the two wonderful techs who took the limb down were awesome. Tony and Noel explained what they were going to do and answered my questions, then went to work in a timely fashion to carefully remove the sick limb.
I watched in amazement at the entire process … they are really pros, and safety oriented. I was shocked to realize they had that huge limb completely removed from my property in just 1 hour and 15 minutes! And they did a great job of clean up, you couldn’t tell anyone had been in my yard!
I would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone who needs help with their trees.

I had an excellent experience with Bartlett Tree Experts. Scheduling a time for the arborist to come out and evaluate the trees I needed trimmed was very easy. Joe P. was on time, friendly, and promptly sent a detailed estimate via email. I felt very comfortable they would do the job right and help my trees be more healthy vs. others I received estimates from. I was able to book the tree trimming over email - they showed up on time, were very careful around our belongings and power lines, cleaned up, and performed their work safely and efficiently. I highly recommend giving them a call!

We have had Bartlett come out for our tree management for a number of years. This year, their representative, JP, quoted a very high price - about $3200, and included things we did not ask for, or were not needed, per their own appraisal. I sent two emails to JP asking if some services were really needed (they were not, per his appraisal but were included in the proposal/estimate). Got no reply. Then I called their office and the lady there said she would talk to JP to reply to my emails. Still no reply. I have sent one more email requesting a reply - still waiting for a reply.

One thing that was upsetting was that JP was very rude, when he came to look at the trees this time. Some of our trees have branches over our neighbor's yard and we wanted to make sure that their concerns are noted and cared for. When I mentioned checking with our neighbor, JP's response that he didn't have time to sit around all day and left quickly. Well, they expect us to pay thousands of dollars (and we have paid a lot over the years) but they do not have time to listen to our concerns. For a professional company, this response from their representative was shocking.

It appears to me that the cost estimate sent to us was done hurriedly, basically copying and pasting from estimates they had sent us in the years past, without paying attention to what was actually said by JP, or discussed with us. So now we are looking for another company that treats its customers right, is reasonably priced, and have representatives that are polite and respectful.

We had a young man come out because we had a row of shrubs that were dying. He quickly diagnosed it as a bore and recommended we spray for them to kill them off. He also recommended an injected root treatment that was double the cost. I wasn't expecting that, but he felt that would give most of the shrubs a good chance to survive. There was one that he didn't feel had a very good chance of survival.
I went ahead and went with the treatment. He did it all, including the completely health shrubs that were on the other side of the fence and had gravel around them. To my surprise, he didn't inject those, he said it would saturate through the gravel, which I was a little unsure of, but he was the expert.
Well, all of the concerning shrubs died, so I felt like the extra "root feeding" was an oversell. However, I had agreed to the service, so I agreed that payment in full was appropriate. I did email the company just to encourage them not to "oversell" their products, and I explained the situation. I never heard back, which surprised me that no one followed up with the email. So, I do believe it's a reputable and knowledgeable company. Just beware of being sold more than you really need.

Bartlett Tree has been taking care of my cherished old live oaks for many years. Tony, Noel and Enrico gave all my trees an expert trimming, and even hung my tire swing for me! Over & beyond great service.
