Very good nursery with a variety of plants. Don't be fooled when you drive up to this place, much bigger than you think. John is very helpful & patient to answer all of your questions. We will definitely be returning to this establishment.

This is a fabulous place. I bought a Black Pepper plant today.
Wish I had a place for their water plants. -
This place is awesome great prices/varieties. The best hands down customer service!! Everyone was helpful will definitely return soon for more. I was lucky to find this beautiful jade plant along with the blossoming echeveria🥰. Thank you Fairbanks Garden Center🤩

you find a lot of variety and very good prices, the people who attend are very friendly and advise you according to your needs, you also find a lot of variety of bonsai if you like them this is the place

They had a lot of nice bonsai tree & pretty flowers. As well as cheap and cute small succulent plants. The only issue was most larger bonsai were displays only and I did not appreciate nothing having prices on it. It is very annoying to ask after each tree that I might be interested in what the price is & not everyone knows all prices. Otherwise, lots of friendly helpful people willing to answer questions. Lots of options.

Highly recommend! Prices very reasonable. Plants are treated with love and care. ☺️💕
I was really impressed with this nursery. Upon our arrival Tim and Jonathan were very welcoming g and helpful.
All the plants looked well cared for, healthy, and you could feel the love that was given to the plants. I appreciated the respect they had for the plants as well. This business was not focused on making a sale and were more focused on educating and helping their customers.
The prices were very reasonable and super competitive. I was a key to see large succulents for only $5!
We will definitely be returning! -
This place is absolutely fantastic! I highly suggest it for anyone looking to do some gardening, to get into bonsai, or just some basic house plants. The prices here were super reasonable and fair. Far beating the home Depot
The selection here was amazing!
They also actually have their own nursery, whereas most other places just sell commercially grown plants.
The two things that really stood out to me here was that they sold fairly exotic plants, star fruit, moringa, Aubi fruit trees... I was so excited to see moringa, I bought a small sapling for $3!!
The work they do on bonsai trees is really cool, and something I very rarely ever see! -
Any tree issues go to them!!! They do a great job

I would like to recommend this company, it is serious, responsible, efficient, very good work, the owner and all his staff very nice, reasonable prices and very economical. God bless you all

I enjoy the visit when I go and shop for flowers plants and trees absolutely gorgeous... I just don't like the registers not polite and very rude when I pay...they need to be happier and more knowledgable with plants they need better training.
But the plants are lovely❤ -
This spot used to my favorite spot but what I had received today was a rude careless response from the employees. When I just asked simple product question. I don't know if that employee just having bad day or what so, but I did not appreciate attitude towards me and my grandmother I will not be returning to this location no more.

We had a great visit. Gary was an excellent help. We spent about$1,000 filling 5 big carts.
Gary was very responsive to all our needs. -
Used to be more friendlier people working there but just got a couple of plans so it wasn't too big of a deal

Went for a small tree and that is exactly what they had left. It was expensive but a beauty only 3ft with a pan and mounted $60. Staff is helpful and attentive. Overall exp 5*

Not impressed at all. Employees are nice but most can't speak English so good luck getting any help.
There is "NO SELECTION" of garden vegetables.
If you are looking for flowers & trees they are in stock. -
Lots of trees, mid-sized ornamental plants. Fewer small flowers, veggies. Possibly was too soon after the freeze? Good selection of seeds, though. Planters, too.
Wandered around the whole place twice. No one offered to help until I went to check out. Not busy at all. -
We have purchased a tree from HGC for the last 10 years but this was the worse experience ever. First the “salesman” found a tree located in the back after we couldn’t find one we liked. We were happy because we thought we had a beautiful tree for 69.99. He did not tie the tree down to my truck properly so it started to slide off halfway home so myself along with two teenage daughters had to drive down 1960 holding the tree. After struggling to get the tree inside our home we immediately noticed a horrible smell. It permeated throughout our home, from the tree. After purchasing air fresheners and keeping the windows open when we could the smell became bearable after about a week. Really we just got use to the smell because every visitor we had was immediately hit with the horrendous smell. Well the tree that we purchased about Dec 15th died within in a week. It looked presentable because we didn’t touch it. Anxious to get this tree out of my home, I remove the trimming from the tree today, January 1st and the tree is totally bare. Disgusting and disgraceful. Never shopping there again.

Bought Sod/grass from store #5, this location last FRIDAY . Purchase a 200pcs / 1pallet and some.. but did not realize that grass meant crab grass. I should have inspected every piece since all sales are final. I was distraut when i started to install on yard. Came back next day to see if they could do something. The so call manager, person in outside booth pointed to the fact that all sales are final. He continued to tell me that 'what did I expect, I got what I paid for'.. I did not expect a refund but this attitude shafts at the deception of their sales. Don't go for the so call sign GRASS. Last time they get my business.

Called location for a price on red mulch bags and lady told me she couldn’t tell me. I would have to come to the store. I’m pricing out bags of mulch in different places to avoid driving all over Houston.

While I understand the no return and no exchange policy for plants, buying a sprinkler and finding it not working (out of the box) and unable to return or exchange it is a joke. What does their $13 item cost Houston Garden Center... As a new customer in the middle of a complete yard overhaul to a new home, thousands of lost dollars. We already spent nearly a thousand and will NEVER shop there again over a $13 defective product.

They are HORRIBLE they sold me a 9 foot $80 tree that died after 3 days. I will NEVER buy another tree from them!!! After 12 years of buying trees from them you would think that they would have better customers service and they don't!!! I dealt with a Cindy Rios she's SO RUDE l can't believe this company would let a person like HER deal with their customers 😑😑😑 SO SAD AND SO PATHETIC #houstongardensucks
