We had the great fortune of having Houston Lightscapes referred to us, by our neighbor. We were very impressed with the lighting on their home.

Our installation occurred in February 2023.
Mike, the Owner, came to our house. He was/is extremely personable and professional.

We discussed the options and agreed with his recommendations with respect to the number of lights. Pricing was very reasonable, and Financing was available.

Installation took place soon after. It was professionally installed and details explained by the Lead.

Two years later we are more than satisfied with the results. In fact, one of the lights went out recently and was promptly replaced.

my experience with this company deserves to be shared. My family and I booked lighting services and paid a deposit in good faith. When we decided not to move forward, we requested our deposit back — especially because the contract clearly does not state that the deposit is non-refundable.

Instead of working with us professionally, the company was rude, dismissive, and refused to return the deposit without providing any contractual basis for keeping it. The lack of transparency and basic customer service was shocking.

A company that operates with integrity honors its own written agreements, treats customers with respect, and doesn’t make up policies after the fact. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

Update: After posting my original review, I received a call from the owner. He aggressively demanded that I remove my review and said he would only issue a refund if I took the honest review down. This raises serious concerns about how many of the positive reviews here were obtained under similar pressure.

For transparency, I am including the email I received from him below. Also the contract where it never stated a refund was non refundable.

There are countless other reputable companies that offer the same service with far better professionalism and customer service. I strongly recommend reaching out to any other company — avoid this one. I don’t have a reason to lie but they sure do !!

The quality and attention to detail is outstanding. We have received many compliments from the neighborhood. Great customer service! I have been very impressed with the quality of the lights and installation. We have gone through a couple of hurricanes, freezes, and everything still works like it should. The price is spot on. I needed to update my tree lighting to LEDs. Mike came out and assessed my needs and gave me a very good price and date for the work to be done. I love the new lights and also how quickly the work was accomplished. These lights help a large yard stay lit throughout.
