I really can’t say enough about Scott and his team. They did an outstanding job helping us design a complete remake of our landscaping, and their execution of that plan was terrific. Scott really listened to what we wanted and made excellent suggestions. He stayed within budget and has continued to be available when we needed anything more.

We had a great experience with Scott and team at FiveSTAR. We did an extensive (at least for us) project of a new driveway and a complete remodel of the front yard, including design work. Scott was communicative and made sure the work was done right. The onsite team and Mario their leader were also extremely diligent and consistently worked on the project until completion, including touch ups, etc. I highly recommend them for any landscape project.

We loved working with Scott and his team! Collaborative throughout the design process, respectful of budget, and amazing at communicating throughout the process. Each individual contractor he brought in was outstanding. We are thrilled with our yard and recommend this team without hesitation.

I helped coordinate a total landscape renovation for my grandparents in Houston from Denver, and FiveSTAR Landscape was incredible. Their yard needed a full overhaul, demolishing everything but the pool.

The landscape architect created a stunning design, specifically choosing native plants that fit the Houston climate perfectly. Scott, the project manager, then brought that vision to life. He made us feel immediately at ease, guiding us through every detail of the walls, pavers, turf, and pergolas.

Even working with them over the phone, Scott’s communication was outstanding. The crew was efficient and professional, turning a run-down backyard into a modern sanctuary my grandparents now enjoy every day!

Customer centric, great service, no pushy sales tactics. Patrick Ellis worked on our project and was extremely communicative as we dodged weather delays. The guys that did the install were on time, did great work, and left no trace they were ever there, except some brand new turf! Definitely recommend and will use again for any other projects we have.

I would recommend Hogue Landscape Service to anyone looking to completely makeover their yard/landscaping. The salesperson came out to get an idea of what our plans were. He then matched us up with a design team that matched personalities. Chris Koops and Brooke Elliott were fantastic. They were always responsive, listen to our concerns, and provided the direction and expertise we needed to make our vision a reality. They did a wonderful job of setting our time frame expectations. They were able to take our blank canvas and turn it into our oasis. Hogue is not going to be the cheapest quote you get, but they will put their heart and soul into your project and will continue to work on the final touches until you are completely satisfied. They also do not disappear after the final payment is made and remain available for follow up questions and advice. The entire process was seamless.

We had a fantastic experience with Hogue helping us transform the landscaping of our backyard after we added a pool. EJ was excellent guiding us through the design process, creative and thoughtful even when we didn’t have a clear vision ourselves. Then RJ was on the ground, project managing multiple trades in parallel to get everything delivered, and demonstrating a high attention to detail throughout. We love our new backyard and would recommend Hogue to anyone looking to upgrade their outdoors!

We hired Hogue (EJ, Carl, and Justin) to do a complete landscaping makeover after a pool build, and the results are stunning!

EJ put together an amazing design that not only met our functional goals (grading a sloped yard, adding privacy from neighbors, storage areas, etc.) but brought a level of creativity that elevated every space. His plant knowledge is unmatched.

Our PMs, Justin and Carl, were meticulous in their craftsmanship. They provided honest feedback throughout the entire process - we benefited so much from their expertise and never did we feel upsold. The crew was fantastic too, and left the house so clean everyday.

Justin created a great design and plan for our landscaping and turf with multiple phases planned out. The installation crews were professional and did great work!

I can’t say enough good things about this landscaping crew. They were super easy to work with from start to finish being professional, friendly, and really knew their stuff. They took my rough ideas and turned them into something way better than I imagined. The yard looks amazing now, and I’ve already had a bunch of people ask who did the work. You can tell they really care about the quality and it shows in the details. Highly recommend if you’re looking to upgrade your outdoor space.

Follow up - following a poor initial communication, the Hogue management team worked to make things right. We ended up engaging their services and the work was top notch and the project executed beautifully. I would hire Hogue again!!

Communication and never even getting the quote we asked for.

We came to hogue because they continued to be highly recommended. Additionally they support a charity that we are associated with.

Their estimator EJ came out looked at our project on a Monday and said he’d have something to us end of week.

When we hadn’t heard by the following Tuesday we reached out to inquire and got basically what was an excuse that the individual had been put to go to the final 4 and he’d have it to us EOD the next day (4/9). When we still hadn’t heard anything by 4/15 we reached out again asking to be informed by EOD if we would in fact receive a quote. That email has not been responded to.

What an unprofessional experience we have had, which gives great caution to the type of experience we would have if we were to consider even using them.

I had a very positive experience, first with Zach, who laid everything out for me so I knew what to expect. During the planting phase, James took over the rest of the details. I was very happy, there was no surprises or hiccups, all went well and I recommend Hogue Landscaping.

I have been a Houston resident for 30 years and have tried pretty much every landscaper in S. Texas and the search is now over! I have never been so HAPPY than with the team from Hogue! They are courteous, professional, friendly, prompt, reliable, available, knowledgable, and do a fantastic Job. They tell you what works, what you will have issues with, make recommendations based on your taste and budget. They are not just trying to sell you something. Hogue really feels like your landscaping is "their landscaping." They take pride in what they do, they clean up after their work and our house, pool, spa, fountain areas , landscape lighting, and generator area have never looked better! Hogue’s design and execution were both fantastic! EJ and Patty worked with me carefully and patiently on the design and captured all my dreams perfectly. Justin and the project team always made sure everything ran smoothly and were excellent communicators. Even when surprise problems popped up, they solved them quickly and efficiently. I just have to say how pleased I am with the service. They were friendly and really listened to what I wanted. They transformed my yard into a beautiful space that I enjoy every day. The crew worked hard and always left things tidy. What impressed me most was how much they cared about making sure I was happy with everything. If you need landscaping done right, I highly recommend them!

I don't understand how it is possible these guys have so many good reviews. I spoke to them and told them I was ready to start a landscaping project immeditely. It took two weeks for anyone to be available to even look at my property. Then, we had a meeting at my house and discussed what we were interested in doing and what our budget was, and they said no problem. But a week later, they sent me a proposal that was more than double my budget, and when I asked them to scale it back, they ghosted me for weeks. When I finally got them to respond, they told me they can't change a thing. So, I asked them to break down how they arrived at their final proposed price because it seemed excessive for what they were proposing, and they ghosted me again. Finally, when I got them to at least respond to my inquiry, they refused to disclose how much they wanted to charge for the different plants and services on their proposal. Their attitude was literally, "here's what we want to do on your propoerty, and here's what we're going to charge -- take it or leave it!" In my experience, anyone who is this unbending and nonresponsive with a prospective customer who is ready to hire them and get started would not do a good job on the project and would not lift a finger to make sure you're happy with it. I highly recommend that you don't waste your time on this company.

We used Hogue Landscape Services on several occasions and highly recommend. The owner, Matt, and the whole team and crew are responsive and have an exceptional attention to detail. We had turf installed, french drains put in, extra drainage systems around our yard, trees trimmed, and shrubs put in. Can't recommend them enough!
