Henry has kept my 20 year-old AC unit going strong since 2011. He's honest and reasonable with pricing. Definitely would recommend Henry's Top Notch AC.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! One of my two a/c units was not cooling properly and my home is under home warranty. I called the warranty company and they sent Henry’s “Top Notch” A/C company to look at it. After two hours of looking at it, the repairman reported the Freon level was low and the evaporator coil had gone bad and needed to be replaced. He said he would turn in his report to the warranty company. I looked at my warranty and it said that evaporator coils were covered for replacement. Good news. Until ---- I received a call from the warranty company saying they had received the report and that the coil needed to be replaced but was not covered by the warranty because the coil went bad due to a faulty bypass damper between the two a/c units as reported by the Henry's repairman. I said that did not make sense at all as I know the damper works – I can hear it working. They agreed to get another a/c company to come out and take a look. The other a/c company arrived and looked at the unit. They said all that was needed was a Freon charge. The bypass damper was working fine and the evaporator coil was fine. They said that the evaporator COIL HAD NEVER EVEN BEEN LOOKED AT by Henry’s because the seals around the screws and access panel were still in tact and had not been broken as would have been necessary to look at the coil. This company’s name “TOP NOTCH” is a total joke. Do not use them!!!

Henry is a very honest contractor. He ecconomically resolved a problem with our unit that was causing the system to shake the walls in our home. He did this while saving us the cost of replacing a motor that did not need to be replaced.

Henry's installed 2 A/C units with new furnaces and I have been using them for maintenance since. They always do a through job. When they have to do something in the house they will put down tarp to cat h debris. I had a capacitor go out and they came out repaired it immediately.

Honest & reliable. Fast & friendly service. As a female home owner I can testify to all the up charges and "necessary repairs" contractors try to sell you. Not Henry, always honest and within budget.

Excellent customer service. Henry is very polite and honest. He knew exactly what he was doing and got the job done quickly! Will definitely use again if needed.

Unbelievable honesty, service, and value! We called Henry's based on a neighbor's recommendation after we had called Houston's so called "#1 HVAC Service Company" and sure glad that we did. "Big #1" (aka top google add) sent out a technician and a salesman and their prognosis was to replace our existing A/C unit for a discount price of $11K or we could spend $8K to replace the evaporator coil and tune up the system.

After my blood pressure came down, I called Henry and he was at my door within an hour. He examined the entire system, explained what he found (leaking evaporator coil and low system pressure), discussed potential options, and was out the door (unlike "Big #1" who was in my house for nearly two hours).

Henry emailed me quotes for each of the options I was interested in later that afternoon and was already checking material lead times while I was evaluating. When I responded with my selection, he replied that he would be at my house at 9:00 AM the next day with an OEM replacement.

How can I not give Henry's a 5-star rating ... he arrives at my house at 2:30 PM, has quotes to me by 4:00 PM, conducts the repair at 9:00 AM the next morning, saves me at least $6K, and the unit is working better than when we moved in a few years ago!

Henry's is the only HVAC service company we, and now all of our neighbors, will ever call.

Excellent service from Henry's Top Notch. My A/C died super late Friday night, and I assumed I wouldn't be able to get it handled until Monday. After a bit of googling, I noticed that Henry's offered weekend repair at no additional fee. Even after seeing the other good reviews I was a little apprehensive, but decided to give it a shot. We called them at 10:00 AM Saturday, and they said someone would be there between noon and 2:00 PM. The technician arrived at noon on the dot, and had everything fixed up within an hour! He also took the time to show me some handy maintenance tips so I wouldn't have to call them for the "small stuff", and fixed some sloppy work done during a prior warranty service. They will definitely be my top choice for future HVAC work.

Update 9/7/14

Had the A/C die again on the weekend. This time the issue was the compressor, rather than the blower like last time. Called Henry's at midnight on a Saturday, and they were out by 9:00 Sunday morning. Had the repair done in under 45 minutes, and recommended some work that should keep it from having this issue again, all for a very reasonable price! I continue to be impressed by their work, and would definitely recommend them if you need HVAC work in Houston.

Also, contrary to what Google says they are not closed on the weekend. Indeed, the fact that they're open and don't charge extra for weekend work is a big part of the reason I called them the first time...the good work and good price is the reason I called them the next time! :)

Henry is very trustworthy and I have used him for years. He has worked on the A/C at my home, my parents home and my rental. Always gave me best work and price. Highly recommend.

Been using Henry's services for about 8 years now. Honest, reliable, respectful and knowledgeable. Does the work on time and correctly. He backs up his work with warranty as well. Highly recommended.

Rising temperatures caused me to flip on the A/C for the first time this season. Unfortunately the lack of cool air indicated A/C problems. This means it's time to check under the sink (I keep business cards taped to the inside door of the kitchen sink cabinet of service companies I've been extremely pleased with). Who's card do I have for A/C? Henry's Top Notch Air Conditioning & Heating Company.

Henry was contacted at around noon and showed up at 8:00 a.m. the next morning. I explained that air was not cooling and the pipes coming to and from the outside compressor were not warm or cool to the touch. Henry said he'd start on the outside. Sure enough - the connector relay was burned (one lead had burned completely off). After replacing the connector and cleaning up the leads the compressor was back online and the air was cool once again!

Henry documented his service call details and reviewed them with me. As Henry was about to depart, he stopped and reminded me that he'd turn the thermostat down to 74 degrees. I certainly appreciated the reminder as well as his fast, expert service. I highly recommend calling Henry’s Top Notch Air Conditioning for your heating and cooling needs.

My Fan Motor went out and Henry came out diagnosed the problem gave me options to fix and did the repair on the spot. I would definitely recommend him. He was courteous knowledgeable and used proper Covid-19 safety precautions. The work was a good price and work came with guarantee.

I have been using this company for several years. Henry explains everything about his repairs. Thankfully, he corrected mistakes made by a previous contractor. I would highly recommend this company. Very professional and knowledgeable.

Henry's Top Notch replaced my condenser/compressor. I'm very satisfied. He worked after hours at the time. Put a cover for the Freon lines. Made a self made slab tall enough to avoid the water flooding. I really appreciate the time and effort. Gave me good advice for my thermostat. Thank you so much Mr. Henry.

Five star service…. The two guys that came were very knowledgeable and professional. They worked well together, figured out the problem, resolved it and offered suggestions to help our ac unit work more efficiently. We will definitely be using them for annual maintenance for now on and for any other ac needs.
