Octavian and his crew did a fantastic job. The turf and putting green looks incredible. The crew is the best working crew I have ever witnessed. Incredible attention to detail and they truly care and take pride in their work. Cleaned up daily after themselves and were very professional. Highly recommend for your backyard transformation.

Octavian and his crew are top notch professionals with the turfing. It was time for change and I was tired of cutting the grass. Communication is clear and precise, excellent pricing, and the work was perfect. I highly recommend Number One Turf. Here are some before and after pictures:

Best in Houston! We priced several companies inside the loop, and so glad we chose Octavian and his crew! They went above and beyond to fix the drainage issues we had from the previous owner’s terrible DIY project. Octavian thoroughly explained the process and made sure we were always happy with the progress along the way. The end result is a phenomenal job (partial yard before and afters pictured). We cannot be happier with our beautiful backyard!

I just left this location about 10 mins ago and the guest engagement that I just experienced was not good. I always have a friendly person when I come in and haven't been in for a while due to working a lot. It is my birthday month and I know a perk is to be able to use your birthday discount. So the woman at the register says that you have to have the correct phone number in order to use it and I did not have it because of change of numbers. Well, in customer service, I don't understand why it couldn't have just been honored because I even offered to show my ID. It seemed like she more so was getting frustrated with me instead of helping me. So I just gave her thr 3rd number and the rewards finally showed up. So then she asks me do I want to use my birthday discount. Well that's why we've been standing here the whole time. So why would you ask me that? I felt like it was more so of being condescending. So then I paid for my items and I have a huge billietiae and 2 smaller plants. I wasn't even offered a bag, or tray or anything. She just moved on to the next guest. I'm just standing there bagging my own items. I am an assistant store leader and I would never treat ANY of my guests that way. We believe in hospitality and I expect the same service when I go shopping. I will continue to shop here but that experience was not good. Employee number was 200129

Cornelius is a beautiful nursery and the employees are nice. That said, BEWARE of their Christmas trees. For the second year in a row, they sold us a dead Christmas tree. Even with their high prices, we decided to give them another shot this year because of their location. We will never go back again. It really does put a damper on Christmas when you realize your tree is dead. We should have known better when they said they could not give the tree a fresh base cut. When we got home and cut the base, it was bone dry (no sap, dead tree).

Everyone here was super gracious and patient with helping us pick out a Christmas tree and Christmas decorations. Sherri at the ribbon counter was so sweet and went out of her way to show us things all around the store and helped us bring our vision to life. I could tell she wanted to go above and beyond but was dragged down by Susan, the manager. I literally left because Susan made me feel like a burden. But anyway, Sherri was amazing! Hopefully some of her Christmas spirit rubs off on Susan.

Excellent variety as well as some trees that other nurseries don’t carry such as Japanese Maple trees. This place carries 3 species!

Good selection of plants and good staff. Came in here with my girlfriend's mom to buy her some flowering plants and ended up grabbing a couple of succulents for myself. The staff is very friendly and are interested in your needs more than trying to sell you stuff you don't need. Parking is abundant and the place itself is very clean.

They used to be so helpful and knowledgeable on the phone but this time when I called she had no clue what shrub i was talking about and asked somebody else and they said no but they another shrub but she said she couldn’t remember what name he said - then I asked if they had photenia and she said she didn’t know and I should just come in to look. Used to they’d offer other shrub suggestions etc - this time not interested in taking the time to help. With the prices they charge they should be more helpful and knowledgeable customer service via the phone.

A wide variety of flowering plants, and foliage. The quality of the plants justify the prices. If you're looking for outdoor flowering plants and landscaping this is your place! The employees were super helpful and very knowledgeable. 5/5 customer service Though if you're looking for regular , low priced plants this may not be the place for you. Lots of pots and a great selection of gardening supplies too!

Love this place! Visited this morning and they had a great selection of plants to choose from. The staff are very friendly from the manager personally setting out plants to the cashier's at the entrance. They gave great advice on the products you need for your plants. I prefer shopping here for my plants because the quality is top notch. Keep up the good work and thanks for the friendly service!

I should've just stuck to taking advice from the internet because these people don't know ANYTHING about the plants they sale. I asked one of the ladies a question about a plant, I'd bought, just to verify the info I'd gotten from the internet. Being that it was a nursery and all. She wasn't sure so she asked the lady in the wheelchair. OMG. She must have been trying to keep me from buying to plant because every bit of info she told me was WRONG. After she couldn't answer a simple question and tried to work around it instead, I just started walking off. I could tell she had NO CLUE. IF I come back to this place, it'll only be because they have a plant I can't find anywhere else. I'll just have my facts together, first. I won't have to ask them anything accept, how much.

Great plants and enjoy the nursery but customer service is to be desired. I’ve been a loyal customer for years but when you call or are in the store to even ask questions about landscaping it’s as if you’re bothering the staff. It’s not easy to drive to the nursery so today I called and spoke to Barry about landscaping since I lost every I purchased from Cornelius last year. He was very dismissive and said he didn’t have time to deal with me because he has other customers waiting. I am not sure what I was in his mind but I think it might be time for me to go elsewhere.

There's so much to choose from here, it's almost mind-blowing. Just looking inside the "shop" section can take a while with all the knickknacks and home goods they offer. But the plants are obviously the stars of the show. Cornelius always has the best-looking plants and flowers if you're wanting to start or improve your garden. The staff is also knowledgeable and can answer any questions you have about their stock, including info about growing conditions and other plants that pair well with the ones you choose.

Horrible lady who were outright rude over the phone. Making unnecessary remarks like we don’t make pre orders just for ONE Taylor juniper. Very unprofessional. Leave if you don’t like your job. Do better. I’m inquiring for 8 Taylor juniper. And yes it’s me, I’ll pay a visit and check it out.

Called to verify if they had 5 gallon nursery pots in stock before I drove all the way to the store. The woman on the phone assured me that they were in stock and that they were 3.99. I drove all the way to the store and they were out of stock. I am fuming!!!

Cornelius Nursery has a large selection of indoor and outdoor plants. The green houses and staging area are large and offers plenty of room to navigate even on the busy days. The staff has been friendly and very helpful.
