Constraction reviews in Hurst, Texas

Ray and Tia Albertson are the most genuine and honest business owners I have ever dealt with. They meet you with professionalism and really listen to what you want. The job is done on time and on budget. Give this small business your remodel and your business.

If there was a rating higher than 5, I'd give that to HDP. From my first phone call, to Jim Canon! These guys are awesome and I am so honored to recommend their services! And, not only is their work flawless, but the value for their work is priceless!

Had them come out to my house and work on upgrading my kitchen. I gave them my idea and what i was hoping for and was blown away! They made it even better than I imagined in my own head, arrived on time and finished quicker than expected. Excellent customer service, will be recommending to friends!

Amazing people great work great communication whould be doing more business with them in the future and one of the great prices for the work they do thanks !!!

We had HDP add built in seating to our dining room and totally renovate the main bathroom. They were great from start to finish. Jennifer Valdes and the design team listened to what we wanted and help bring our ideas to life. The construction teams led by Lesley Henry were prompt, courteous, clean and professional. The results were amazing. We could not be more pleased.

HDP did a kitchen remodel for us that we LOVE! The Project Manager, Lesley Henry, handled the job with the upmost integrity, professionally, timely and communicated often. As with any construction job we had a few hiccups and Lesley typically addressed those before we brought them up. Jennifer was extremely helpful and patient in the design process. Both Jennifer's design expertise and Lesley's project management expertise are impeccable!

We highly recommend HDP for your next construction job!

HDP construction services were wonderful to work with. Being an older lady it was so nice to have them explain everything and communication was exemplary. Project manager Donavan always did what he said he would do and Hose the team leader did great work. Would recommend this company to anyone who needs construction work.

Disrespectful of customer's time - Made an appointment last week and was assured that they would arrive timely as I had another engagement 90 minutes after. 30 minutes late, so I contacted the office and got "Oh, I was just about to call you to reschedule" -- no appointments available this week or next week. Obviously, the customer's time is unimportant and if they miss an appointment you go to the back of the line.

Update: HDP quickly responded to my feedback -- I was a bit shocked, in fact, to received a gift certificate with the apology. Given the quick response once they were made aware of the mistake, I modified my feedback for their customer service.

HDP construction did a fabulous job renovating our kitchen and bathroom. Everything turned out so beautiful! The whole team was so easy to work with and any time we had a concern about something they were very quick to help. Adelyn was a huge help with picking our design and materials and gave great advice about what would help make our spaces gorgeous. We are so happy we went with HDP to help us transform our outdated spaces into places we now love!

Great company to work with does great a great job flexible and helped fix a lot of things with my new home purchase.

Would work with again.

HDP Construction takes the time to ensure things are done properly. They are detail oriented, professional, and dependable. They are highly recommended.

Our kitchen and living room renovation turned out amazing. We would highly recommend them!

HDP did a great job fixing our master standing shower! They are extremely honest, communicative, and beat other construction companies in their quote! Highly recommend them!

I can’t recommend HDP enough! Ray, Russell, & Adelyn are great to work with. This team has the highest level of integrity and transparency, and they make the process very easy to understand. They are patient with us as we make adjustments to our plans. We are repeat customers as we were happy with the quality of workmanship from a bath update in our previous home. They stand behind their work, and I’m especially comforted by their 5 year no-leak warranty on shower remodels. I’ve had shower leaks from other contractors’ work. My trust is not easily earned, and I trust HDP.

We have been so pleased with the work and character of HDP. The job turned out beautifully, but what I am most impressed with is the integrity with which this company operates. With any large remodel there will be a few snags but Ray and Russell made sure that the job was done right or it would be redone. We will use them again.

Our main bathroom was outdated and HDP Construction Services provided both design services and all construction work for a full bathroom remodel. We were pleased with the level of detail in the estimate and in the communication throughout. The project took about a week longer than predicted but that is the only slight criticism that we have. The workers were polite, clean, skilled, and professional in their fields of demo, plumbing, painting, electrical, and tiling. A supervisor came to our home daily to check on progress and discuss any questions. The fee process was a partial up-front payment and then payments along the way, with a final payment due when all work was completed to our satisfaction. We paid an additional amount for a bathroom designer (her name is Nohemi) and it was well worth the cost because she provided ideas that I never would have imagined I would love in the end. Overall, we would heartily recommend HDP for your home construction projects!

I cannot recommend HDP highly enough.
Ray and his whole team honestly believe in delivering a quality experience to the client. Our project was far from extravagant - renovating our daughters’ bathroom - but the whole HDP team treated our project like it was their first priority.
Ray, the owner, took into account our wishes and budget and came back with a plan and itemized list of materials, cost and timing and walked us through every little detail upfront. He also worked with us to save costs where we could.
Regan, our designer, listened to our tastes and preferences and came up with three beautiful design themes for us to choose from. She even pulled material samples for us to seen in person and even put together a 3D rendering of each bathroom design so we could see how the finished project would look like. It felt like we were in an HGTV show!
Leslie Henry, our project manager, was at our house practically every day checking on progress, asking for our input on each and every decision, making sure that everything was going as planned. If there were any issues with the work or adaptations to the plan, she was upfront with what needed to change and proactive in coming up with solutions.
And the entire construction team - from demo to tile to cabinetry to plumbing and electrical - was awesome! All super skilled, hard working and respectful of our family and our home.
And ultimately, the result is stunning. We could not have imagined a more beautiful bathroom.
HDP is one of those EXTREMELY rare companies that is honest and accountable, does amazing work and actually cares about their customer. They simply did the work they promised us they would do. And we could not be more pleased with the result.
Thank you again HDP! We look forward to working with you again soon!

We first met HDP Construction almost 10 years ago. We had used a previous contractor and we're never happy with the finished product so we decided to do a complete demo. We took things inside down to the studs and removed the exterior sofits and siding. So, yes, a complete remodeling.
The home was built during the 1970s and built to be all electric. It also had a sunken living room which we wanted removed. HDP was ALL IN. We worked with the owner Ray, and I couldn't have been more impressed. So impressed!!! As you know, when you open a house like we did you tend to fine unexpected surprises and we did. However, Ray looked at them as a challenge and we moved in.
Everything was brought up to code, new electrical panel, modern wifi sky lights, new kitchen, new fireplace, gas added, and now a SMART home. Without the sunken living room.
Last week, we once again reached out to HDP Construction to begin some new projects. We won't to remove the carpet from the master and upgrade to tile. Something we should have done 10 years ago. Add two additional security cameras. Upgrade the fire detectors to the latest fire/smoke/carbon detectors that have wifi technology and both entrance doors with the latest wifi smart locks. As well as some normal maintenance issues and again, HDP met the challenge.
HDP may not be the "cheapest" bid, but I have learned the hard way. Cheaper is NOT ALWAYS BETTER. Ray stands behind his work. We had an exterior trim issue that we brought to his attention 5 years after the renovation was over. A simple fix and something that shouldn't have happened. A non treated piece of trim was used by accident and because it wasn't treated for exterior weather, the 6 inch piece of trim curled. Ray, immediately had his team correct the problem. The other reason we LOVE Ray, is his honesty. He could have taken advantage of us like our previous two contractors and let us do what we were wanting. However, Ray sat down with us and told us WHY we wouldn't be happy long term. AND offered suggestions that would be better options. Lastly, their were no $$$$$ surprises at the end of the project. ALL ALONG the way, Ray and his accounting team would send us detailed updates if we had unexpected cost and we did. Example, we had a slow drain for years. During the demo, Ray discovered why..... the builder in the 70s placed plumbing in the foundation incorrectly or backwards. This caused the drain problems and we chiseled out the foundation and corrected the mistake. NO more plumbers and no more slow drain. We actually used the mistake to our advantage and moved the drain over a couple feet. Adding room for a larger pantry and the option of moving the hot water heater to the garage. That gave us a storage closet instead of a hot water heater closet in the house.
It is now 2025 and we don't even try getting other bids anymore. We reached out last week with a list of items we want done. Technology has changed in 10 years so it is time to add a couple additional security cameras. Upgrade our smoke detectors and add the smoke/fire/gas detectors that work with wife. Ad the latest wifi smart locks to the exterior doors, and do some maintenance items on projects that Ray added 10 years ago. Recoating the custom steel gate, sealing the cedar walls, and some caulking. We know and have complete trust in HDP Construction that it will be done right.

We had a bathroom remodel that was going to be a major project. We had a few companies come out to provide an estimate for the job, but the reason we went with HDP was the level of detail they provided for the project. Every small detail was thought of and accounted for. Ray and his team were very easy to work with. We had a hard deadline for completion and they met it! Our bathroom was completely transformed and it is BEAUTIFUL! We are so pleased with how it came out. It's like a spa vacation every morning!

HDP completed a kitchen (total gut) and dining room (turned lounge) remodel for us. They did an amazing job. The whole project was excellent; from estimating, to design, to communication to the quality of the workmanship. We’re so happy with the results. We definitely recommend and would be happy to work with them again!

They are amazing!!!!!
