Sunrise Lawn Care came over and managed to get rid of all our weeds with their yard treatment program. Their team did a great job! I would highly recommend them for anyone in the Katy area looking for lawn care service!

I never thought I'd have to write a mid-review, but here we are. My wife and I have been using this lawn service for about a month, and unfortunately, we’ve been quite disappointed. Every time they come to cut the grass, it’s consistently uneven, and there are always missed spots. With my busy schedule, the last thing I want is to spend my time calling the service back each week to critique their work. It feels a bit like I have to micromanage them — weird, right?

So, I've made the tough decision to cancel our service today. It’s not because of the customer service; that has been fantastic, and Adam is a really nice guy. The issue lies with the grass cutting itself. I’ve seen pictures from the past showing much better work, so I’m not sure what’s gone wrong recently. It’s disappointing because I had high hopes when we first signed up.

Very poor service. Worked on our yard four times and missed mowing parts of the yard each time. We were paying for them to maintain the bushes but this was only done one time and during that time, they tracked weed/grass killer throughout our yard leaving very large dead spots all over. Our yard is in much worse shape than when Sunrise took over.

The only positive is that they have good customer service.

Highly recommend Bennett Outdoor Services. They trimmed my old trees and they look beautiful now. I also received a soil drench. Cost is reasonable and they didn’t try to up charge me like companies have done to me in the past. Very honest.

I highly recommend Bennett Outdoor Services. We shopped around and received several quotes and Mr. Bennett and his team earned our business and trust through their honest assessment and knowledge of our trees and what we were wanting. They explained everything from beginning to end. I am super picky about my yard and trees and I new we were in good hands. We have Oak trees that are over 110 years old and they did such a beautiful job of preserving them and breathing new life into our trees/yard. They showed up on time and completed their job in a timely, professional and affordable manner. We are beyond pleased with Mr. Bennett and his crew and will be using them in the future.

They did a phenomenal job on my huge Oak Tree in my backyard. The light company destroyed one side of it but J came in and did a beautiful job! They shaped and lightened and cleaned out all between the limbs and also got rid of a lot of dead Lems that I never knew was up there. They also went above and beyond and raked up the leaves that were already in my backyard along with the tree trimmings. I recommend this business to everyone!

First of all the two men who came was,Alejandro and Alex. They sat sat down with me, no pressure. I experienced a thourgh look at both my front and back yard. I felt comfortable with the recommendations they offered. I found they were prompt, honest,and called when had to reschedule for the next day. I would highly recommend this company. My experience with JS Tree was one of the worst experiences I’ve had as a customer. I cannot recommend using another company enough. I clearly told them what my budget was. They provided a quote that was slightly over but it was a project I needed to get done. The quote did not include “Materials” so I asked the representative for a ballpark and was told, “ a couple hundred dollars”. In the end, they charged over $4,000 just for materials that I had no knowledge of until the project was complete.

Beyond being scammed, scheduling was unprofessional. Two weeks went by with little to no communication unless I contacted them. Information and updates were never provided unless I reached out to them.

They completed the project while I was out of town. I returned home to a damaged yard, a neighbor upset because their yard was damaged, but a completed job.

Much of the discussion was over the phone and I took their word for what was offered. I was absolutely scammed and ended up paying more than double the budget I very clearly communicated to them. I know that the owner knew his company was in the wrong because at the end of a long discussion, he started offering to do needless jobs for no cost.

JS Tree Service company was very efficient and timely with their time. They cleaned up and removed the debris after the work was done. I would recommend them as a reliable company.

We hired this company to level our yard and install sod. Very disappointing experience. Overall, save your money and use another service, even if they cost more. What they quote you is a lowball quote. Expect to pay 50% more for materials. We lost an entire weekend with no calls from them. Impossible to get ahold of anyone that can answer a question.
Pro:
- They worked out a payment system for us since the cost ended up being more than we were quoted.
Cons:
- Alejandro, the salesman, showed up over an hour late with no call.
-The salesman was very pushy, even to the point of insulting our standards.
-The salesman said the service would include haul away for our debris. They did not haul away. In fact, they left some personal trash in our yard.
-The salesman said they would include trimming our trees to offset the cost of haul away. They did not trim our trees.
-Both the salesman and Jose told us our tree is dead and that it needed to be removed. Three other services have said that tree is fully alive and only needs a trim. So Alejandro and Jose lied to us.
-They did not show up on the day scheduled, they did not even call to inform us they would not be showing up.
- After we called, they said they would be there the next day. They did not show up, or call, the next day.
- After we called 3 times, they informed us they would show up 2 days after the scheduled day. They said we would be the first job that day. They showed up around 4 PM and only worked 1 hour. They said we would need to call office to reschedule services.
- They showed up 3 days after the scheduled day and finished the work.
- They did not level our yard. In fact, some spots are worse than before.
- Jose said we would get a warranty for the services. We never received the warranty. When asked, the office staff say Jose will call us back. We have not received any calls from Jose. Do they even warranty their work?

The job was done generally well. There were some miscommunications about the expectations for the job and what was promised was not fully delivered. There were also some safety concerns as personnel stood on the fence to cut trees rather than use a ladder.

The work was beautiful from what I saw on instagram from this company and I wanted to to obtain a bid. The appointment service was poor, in my opinion. I tried three times to make an appointment. With each attempt, thru their website and/or calling, for their consultation call I did receive a confirmation only to never get that scheduled call, wasting my time waiting for it. It’s unfortunate, I wanted to get an estimate from them, but I will try another service. Their appointment service is a first impression of their company, so I hope that gets corrected so they don’t lose another potential client.

JS Tree Service did an excellent job with my flower bed. They were able to recommend materials for retaining wall and also types of plants and everything came out fantastic. Definitely added an extra pop to our house and good curb appeal.

I saw JS Tree Services on Instagram and was impressed by the results. While my results were similar my experience with transparency and clear communication was lacking. I desired landscaping, paver installation (walkway and patio) and drainage. The team leader was more concerned with getting me sold than making sure I had an overall good experience. I was quoted one thing in conversation when it came to materials for the entire project which ended up costing me $900 more than what I was given. As a first timer I expected to work directly with Alejandro instead I worked with 2 individuals who I did not speak to directly in the beginning. I ended up with paver installation, drainage installation and not real landscaping just a retainer wall and edging for my flower beds. Additional fees were attached that were not my responsibility nor were they discussed with me and I had to ask for sod to be laid (which was done improperly) in areas where they dug up too much grass. All of my work was done in two days but for a better experience I would have been okay if it had taken longer. My advice ask questions about EVERYTHING upfront and get it all in writing.

I had worst experience with J.S. Tree Service. They promised that they will remove all 4 tree stump, but they only removed 3 tree strump. Yet, they proclaimed that they completed the job and requested the full payment. The missing one strump was discovered by me when I reviewed the work, they did not proactively communicate it to me. This is the worst company I ever worked with.
The finance team is so unprofessional and so rude.
