I stumbled upon a site called Home Adviser looking to put up a fence when the representative asked if I needed any other services. He was naming off the services and I explained to him that I did in fact need 4 trees removed. He sent my information to a reputable company, J. S. Tree Service, and to others as well. They called and I set up the appointment. Alex inspected the trees and gave me a quote of around $5,000 for all 4 trees which is a great deal. Jose and team 5 completed everything in less than 4 hours. They left the yard clean, no trash anywhere, were respectible, and very industrious. We would use them again but we don't have any more trees to remove.

After all was said and done, they did a good job!
However:
Alex, the sales rep, was argumentative with me when I asked him why he was late, then he kept interrupting me when I tried to explain to him that there was the water main close to the tree stump. Sure enough, they were tossing down large portions of the tree right where the water main was and busted it. It took a while for them to realize it broke the water main and shut it off.
This was partly because Marlon, the supervisor, as not around for long periods of time. He also spoke very limited English.
They did get a plumber out after they cleared away everything and took care of his fee, which I need them to submit a receipt to the city that the water main was repaired. Hopefully they will respond and do this.

Also, Alex was very pushy about signing a contract that day, although he did give us several options, and also a “discount”.
I did sign a contract, but when I got ready to pay the deposit, he said there was a 4% fee for an using AmEx card, which when I asked him about using a CC, he did not mention.

The person who came out later after the crew left, who was waiting to make due the plumber finished the job correctly, was very nice and listed to some of my complaints listed above, and they would be addressed.

I think they are a little expensive, but overall they did a “good” job, not “great”, not “excellent.”

I had a tree fall into my angry neighbors yard while I was away. Alejandro and his crews were on site within a few hours to not only remove that tree but also remove other trees that were dead or posed a threat. His team handled the job, and my angry neighbor for a very fair price and did a great job. I would definitely recommend if your looking to get the job done right and with professionalism.

Through the internet, I contacted several tree service companies, and I hired JS Tree Service because although they were not the cheapest, they were the most responsive and the only ones that took the time to answer all my questions, clearly explained the details of the services they offered, and provided the different options on how to address my project.

I am glad that I decided to hire this company and I am very satisfied with the focus on customer education and satisfaction from Alejandro and with the results of the job done by the crew who ensured that I was happy with their completed work. Another big plus was how clean my front and back yard were after they finished and left.

I definitely recommend this company and will use them in the future when my trees need anything else!

I hired them to install a cedar gate at a brick wall. They were on time. Completed the job in just one day. Followed up with me the day after. I would highly recommend J.S Tree Services.

The best tree service I've ever had! The crew was really prepared and cleaned up after themselves, they did a great job with all the trees in my backyard and in a short period of time. I also appreciated they took the time to answer all my questions and maintained constant communication throughout the process-- it shows me their professionalism and commitment to quality service that begins with customer care. I recently had the pleasure of working with this fantastic team that exceeded my expectations in every way. From start to finish, my experience with them was flawless, with no issues whatsoever. One of the highlights of my projects was the outdoor pergola they built for me. The craftsmanship was outstanding, and every detail was meticulously taken care of. I couldn't be happier with the end result. Additionally, they installed artificial turf in the backyard, transforming it into a beautiful, low-maintenance space.

In conclusion, my experience with the team was outstanding. They delivered exceptional work, provided excellent communication, and demonstrated a commitment to transparently throughout the project. I couldn't be happier with the outdoor pergola and artificial turf they installed for me. The list of issues I had with this company is VERY long, not only do they not tell you that their bid price does NOT include materials. Any time you discuss materials they increase the price without letting you know about the price change. On top of that they won’t call you to work though anything they just email, demand payments, include merchant whether paying with a check or ACH. RUN don’t walk away form this company!!! Now the job they were supposed to do for drainage has failed to deliver results.

J.S. Tree Service did an outstanding job for us from the beginning of the process until the job was completed. They provided photos to us to ensure we were satisfied with the work they performed.

My complaint is related to the abuse in their contracts and the clauses the put on it.

My husband requested via Home Advisor a business to do an Estimate to us for Tree Services. We got an answer from this company JS Tree Service. First they were really pushing to know if the decisions or approval for the service were going to be done the same day. I know is my fault I signed a contract where it says that, they were going to charge a 10% cancellation fee additional to the 20% security deposit that was final, and no return.
I did this decision and I signed against my husband's approval, so 4 hours later I contacted them to let them know that we needed to cancel the service.  The final amount of the contract was $3,236.67 (taxes included). I gave the sales agent a check for the amount of $647.33 (20% deposit). I was willing to loose my security deposit because I understand  that the deposit was final as it says on the contract. I asked if we were able to do a change in order or change on the contract to do a service that the cost is 50% less than the deposit amount that was on the contract and they were not willing to do anything on that part.

Their cancellation charges is an abuse to the consumers plus they are charging taxed on this deposits and fees for a service that was not completed and that is something to worry about.

Their response was to charge me $258.96 additional (10% cancellation fee) so, they have on their side $906.29 that I paid to them, for the cancellation of a service that I did in less than 4 hours. They did not incurred in any cost for my service.  They were not willing to do a change in order for the amount that I have paid already, staying that I signed the contract knowing the clauses on it. They are very unprofessional and their is a lack of communication to answer my questions in regarding to the change in order or cancellation.

This was our 2nd time using JS tree services and things have chsnged a bit. Its unclear how they break down the labor cost and were surprised to be given late fee's if supplies werent paid for within 24hrs yet f they need to refund you for any resson you will have to go out to theit office or wait for check to be mailef bo exceptions. The crew left a mess behind and all furniture in a corner, gravel allnover and didnt replace all of the sprinkler lines we had for each plant. The job was going to take 2 days and it was completed in a week and half. I am happy for their business growth and understand the challenges but as a repeat customer would expect greater customer service.

This is the second time I have used JS Tree Service. They did an excellent job turfing my backyard. They were meticulous in their work. I am beyond happy with the results!

Would provide a below zero rating if possible.
Rude in the phone & clearly wanted every portion of the project priced al la cart instead of together as a complete package.
Also understand that you are charged for trash removal & must pay in advance. I will never recommend this terrible company.
Their free estimate costs $149, so much for free.

J. S Tress service was excellent in my backyard redesign. They arrived to work on time, explained what is to be accomplished for the day and set out to do it. They are great at what they do and I just love spending my time in my backyard

Completely UNPROFESSIONAL. If I could give zero stars I would. Called on Monday to get a quote. Said there’s a charge to get someone to come.. weird but ok… I opted for the free over the phone quote and it was scheduled for Friday 11-12pm. An hour before your appointment block you get an automatic text to confirm. I confirmed. Jose who was scheduled to call NEVER CALLED. Frustrates me because I took an hour out of my work today to sit by the phone and wait. I’m not going to call and beg any business to take my money. I’ll happily get another company to do my $15k + backyard covered 10x25 patio, concrete and side of the house pavers with gravel project!!!

JS Tree Service did an outstanding job on my home and I simply want to say thanks to Jose and his wonderful crew. Fast,, prompt, fabulous customer service and experience, and most importantly - professionalism.

Great job and will see you all in the future for more project...thanks!

J.S. did an excellent job installing French drains and side walks in problem areas around our house that would never drain properly. They were incredibly fast in their work and Rummy did an awesome job listening to our needs and not being pushy with recommended services.

We expected proper cleaning before laying pebbles and pavers in order to control weed growth, but JS Tree service did not do that. We hired them and paid around $15k total for pavers and vegetable beds. Weeds are everywhere in 15 days. They never pickup calls and they don't address the concern. NEVER hire this company.

We had a scheduled appointment to discuss an estimate. I sent in my pictures and explained what I wanted done. I called left a voicemail because no one called us. Hours later we got a phone call from a different number saying they were calling for our appointment. I called the number back, left a voicemail, and a text that same day asking what happened to our appointment and if they would give us a time to reschedule when they could call on time. No one ever called us back. I cannot rate their work but if this is any indication of how organized they would be or their performance with a contract, then we have dodged a bullet.
