Been using Houston Arbor Care for a number of years to prune and maintain our trees. This year we had to remove a tree that was close to the garage and garden. Joe's crew did a great job without any damage to anything.

Joe Chalker and his team provided terrific service from the initial visit for a quote through the actual work. Joe is a wealth of knowledge and gave us a well thought out plan. Connor, Blast and the workers were courteous, eager to please, executed the plan with precision and did a fine clean-up once they were completed. Hats off to Houston Arbor Care Tree Service.

Joe came by the same day of the inquired estimate. Reasonable price and the quality of work was outstanding. Had a tree removed and they removed the brush, cut and stacked the other pieces for firewood as per my job request, and my yard was spotless. Highly recommended.

We have two Live Oaks and a storm damaged Pecan that were long overdue for a trim. I've been hesitant to have someone come out in fear that they'd do more damage than good. I found Houston Arbor Care through a Google search and the reviews were positive so I sent them a message to get a quote. Joe came out to my house the same day and was very knowledgeable explaining exactly what needed to be done and, more importantly, what shouldn't be done. Two weeks later my trees have never looked better. Glad I finally found someone I could trust to not butcher my trees. I'll be using Joe and his crew going forward.

Joe and his crew have worked on our property three times now. They always do a great job and clean up after themselves. Joe is really good about communicating quickly, and getting us on the schedule right away. Very trustworthy. I always appreciate his attention to detail and honesty. You won’t regret hiring him!

Called Houston Arbor Care Tree Service to come out to look at my Red Oak Tree as it’s been dropping big limbs. They happened to be in Katy and came over to my house within 30 minutes! He knew exactly what was causing the problem and explained what needed to be done.

Houston Arbor Care has been such a Godsend. While I love my normal weekly landscaping company for mowing and trimming our bushes, there are just certain projects, especially involving our larger or more specialized trees, where it’s important to use a professional arborist. We were having such a difficult time getting our grass in the front yard to grow; now Houston Arbor Care comes out and prunes and separates the canopy regularly, allowing light through while keeping the beauty of the tree’s natural shape (no broccoli trees from this company). Joe and Connor are so knowledgable and do a great job of issue spotting and proposing workable solutions for common issues (e.g., we can’t do much about the fact that our oak trees were planted too high or too close together by the developers, but they always have great ideas for maximizing the health and longevity of our trees using what we’ve got). They’ve done a variety of projects for us over the last 5 years, and they are always responsive, professional, and do beautiful work. Highly recommend if you need a new arborist or are thinking about using one for the first time.

The crew did an amazing job pruning my trees and cleaning up mulch beds. What I appreciated most was Joe walking me through the process and giving me tree care info and tips. Will definitely use for all tree care in the future.

2025 Edit: Still getting great service from Connor and the team at Houston Arbor Care

Joe and his team did an excellent job pruning and trimming my live oak and crepe myrtle trees. I had some concerns about roots headed to my foundation and Joe advised to trim the roots and raise the canopy above our house. He also provided advise around the base of the trees to ensure proper growth and minimize surface roots. Clearly very knowledgeable about his business. His team was very respectful, did a great job and also cleaned up well. Highly recommend this team!

Connor came to the house on time and when he said he would which is a great trait for a vendor. He came to drench and fertilize the trees, beds and lawn. The night before a tree top had fallen. He assessed the situation and we were able to clean up the tree, however, he saw a tree with a big hole in it. I choose to cut it down, and I’m glad that he assessed it properly as that tree would’ve fallen sooner than later and could’ve been dangerous to my family. His crew did a phenomenal job ensuring it was safely done and no other plants or trees were damaged. They did a great job in clean up as well. He explained to me what happened to the tree, the disease the tree had, and what had happened to make it weak. I was very appreciative of his knowledge and the expertise of his team. I would highly recommend him to ensure that your trees are trimmed properly with a crew that knows how to trim them without weakening the tree for the future.

Very knowledgeable arborists. Tree service by keeping trees healthy and happy, not just chopping away at them like so many other companies do. Houston Arbor Care provided the care our red oak needed and did a great job cleaning up.

Joe came all the way to Galveston to discuss the corrective pruning and tree trimming my five (very) mature Like Oaks needed. I wanted them pruned and done so that the trees (and my house) both have the best chance of survival if we have a hurricane.

His crew showed up early, worked all day, cleaned up everything, and did a great job. Joe came down to check on the progress of the job, which I really appreciated! Although they did a lot of pruning, the trees still look full. Joe and his crew are very knowledgable and they care about the trees and you as a customer.

Joe showed up the next day to give me a free & fair first estimate on price and I received the official quote the next day. Job was done in the same week with a great professional crew. I had a total of seven trees to be trimmed and they are all looking great now. Joe showed up towards the end of the job again, explained me the work and ensured that I'm happy with the results. Crew cleaned up very well at the end as well.

We were concerned about the health of our trees, so we decided to consult an arborist. We contacted Houston Arbor Care and Joe promptly came for a consultation. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped us understand how redirecting the branches would help our large Live Oak trees grow stronger and healthier. He also gave us helpful advice about our other trees. Joe’s team was very prompt, professional, and managed the pruning and cleanup process very efficiently. We have used Houston Arbor Care for several years. They are always professional, courteous and do an excellent job of clean up. Yesterday they took down two trees in the blink of an eye. Awesome job!

Connor and his team did a great job! They trimmed four Oak and six Crepe Myrtle’s that were totally out of control. They look beautiful now. Great communication throughout the entire process.

We had the crew come out and trim and prune our 4 oak trees. They gave us a reasonable quote and did exactly what we wanted them to do.
My husband is always nervous that our trees will not look good but he was so happy with the outcome. We have twice as much sun in our front yard and my flowers are so happy in the flower beds.
The men did a fantastic job at cleaning up all of the cut branches.

Wonderful experience with Houston Arbor Care. We had a couple of quotes given to us but Joe’s knowledge and thorough explanation gave us comfort knowing the job will be done correctly. He had his team come out a few days later and they were prompt and professional. It was very interesting to see how they were able to get branches that were hanging over the fence into our neighbors yard. I am very happy with the results of my recent tree trimming using Houston Arbor care. The quote was reasonable considering the size and number of trees we did. But most important to me was that Connor and the whole crew did exactly what they said they would - they didn't hack away at the trees, but shaped and redirected them, and they look amazing. And wow - the clean up was perfect! I can rarely say that about workers around my home. A big thanks to Connor and the crew!

Very easy experience. We were fully satisfied with the work. We had three companies come for quotes. They were definitely the most professional. The prices were in line with the others. We decided to go with Joe at the Houston Arbor Care. We had three large trees removed including the stumps, trimmed three other trees, another stump removed, and everything hauled off. It was a two day process. They were in and out and cleaned up. It was a great choice. We will be using them again in the future!
