Johnathan has been servicing my yard from over a year now. He is professional, polite, friendly and respectful. He sends me a message when he is on his way so I know when to expect him. Emerald lawn also sends me a message about 2-3 days before the technician comes.

I started using Emerald Lawns in spring 2025, and early on the service and pricing were both solid. About halfway through the year, I began noticing service gaps and had to call in to ask when my next appointment would be, at which point the office would need to check with the service department to provide an answer. By the end of the year, service appointments stopped altogether while billing continued. Despite multiple emails and phone calls to resolve the issue or recover charges for services that were never performed, I received no follow-up. When I eventually reached a retention representative, she was happy to cancel my service, but they refused to credit back the last few payments even though no service visits occurred. The front-end sales pitch and pricing may look good, but ongoing operational breakdowns and lack of accountability ultimately undermined the experience.

Joshua Grayson was great! He was patient and answered all of my questions. He was an extremely knowledgeable and very professional young man.

Jason was great. I had concerns about the fertilizer and the rain coming. He put me at ease explaining that it would not affect the effectiveness of the product. Very professional and nice.

Rodney serviced our lawn and did a great job. We had another worker installing a window at the same time. Both were courteous and worked around each other. One “dead” spot is already filling in with healthy grass. Thank you.

Josh has been our technician for about 2 years. I went outside to talk with him today. As our lawn cutting service was in progress at the time when Josh arrived, I was very happy to hear that he waited a few minutes until the grass was fully cut before applying the fertilizer treatment.

Josh is very personable and competent. I’m glad to have him as our technician.

The technicians are nice and professional. And my grass seems to be greener which is nice. Plus, they have good customer service. However, I’ve been on the service since October and my weeds are still out of control and widespread. I am a little frustrated I have even paid for additional treatments they suggested; but my lawn keeps getting uncontrollable weeds, of all kinds. We’ve done top soil, aeration, pre-emergents, post-emergents, and truly nothing seems to work. Its been so bad that we keep getting hoa notices.

Two things special about Cornelius in Katy.

Products and Plants: Great selection everything that you need, including expanded shale which is a must for clay based soils like we have in the Houston/Katy area. Plant selection is very good, everything well maintained!

People that work there: One time I had a question about a plants location. Everyone was busy with other customers so I asked a gentleman who was on a 10’ ladder where I might find it. Before I could say anything else he came down and spent several minutes not only to find it, but also help me select the one I wanted. After getting down from the ladder his first comment was, customers come first at Cornelius.

While it's a pricey nursery, the quality of the plants is worth it.

They have the plants. Good ones too. But they're pricey

The ladies at this Cornelius location were very attentive and patient with us. We bought new plants and had them repotted at this location. After less than a year, those plants have died. We brought the plants back with the receipt and they replaced All lll them right away minimal questions. One of the ladies recognized is and that’s all they needed for confirmation. Thank you so much!

Nicolas Montoya is always very helpful. Today, he helped me and my husband find the items we were looking for. He is very knowledgeable and kind. We value his advice.

Updating review to three stars since the employees seem to have no knowledge of flowers. They couldn't tell me the name of a plant that was not identified and couldn't tell me if they had a specific plant. It seems that the employees in the cash registers do not know much about plants. The prices are also very high. At Lowe's, I bought 12 zinnias for 12 dollars and Cornelius have 6 Zinnias for 12 dollars. Definitely a different experience than last time I went.

I also want to recognize the wonderful work that Nicolas did supporting us to search for the plant that we wanted. His professionalism and his special way of being impress us. It is a pleasure to meet worker like him.

They have such nice plants and I can't wait to go back for more. My favorite thing was the exceptional customer service. The staff were so helpful and I talked to many during my visit because they were all helping. We couldn't find a specific plant I was looking for and they kept looking even after I had given up. They found it and came and got me. This place has the best employees I have had the pleasure to deal with in any industry for years. They must be doing something right there to have such great people working there.

Such a vast variety of gardening material im blown away

I went to their Katy location today. Very helpful, nice, and knowledgeable staff. Two people helped me find what I needed. They both knew exactly where everything was and had lot of knowledge about each plant. That helped me find the one I needed. My favorite garden/plant place. I strongly recommend it.
