Open early and not very pricey. -
Awesome little garden store in old Katy with few, if any, local rivals. Very friendly sales people (although sometimes very, very busy). An amazing collection of outdoor ceramics, wind chimes, fountains, and even outdoor kitchens. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

I would not recommend this business to anyone. My parents hired Peter to completely transform their back and front yard. Peter refused to follow his guarantee of one-year replacement for any plants that die. He was rude and unprofessional. He stomped his feet like a child when getting feedback on his work. The mulch had some type of native plant that is now taking over their yard! They charge a very high price for the quality of product delivered.

100x better service than you get at any big box store. Knowledgeable and friendly employees. Micro life product line. Also gr at prices on sand, top soil, mulch, etc. got ten bags of sand for $40.

After searching my neighborhood facebook group for a landscaper and irrigation company, I didn't find what I was looking for so I checked out who Randy Lemmon recommends.
Randy recommended Andy's Sprinkler, Drainage & Lighting, so we called them. We worked with Bill from Andy's and I asked
I asked him if he has a recommendation for a landscaper, and he recommended the team at Nelson's Water Gardens. I'd never heard of them, but he recommended them and said Randy does too.
After a series of emails and a meeting with my husband and me, we decided to go with Nelson's. We worked with Peter and Eddie, and they were incredible to work with. I had a vision of what I wanted, and they drew out the plans for me, made some great suggestions for types of plants we could use, and were great at communication. They finished our project today, and we couldn't be happier. They worked with Bill from Andy's to move around some of our sprinklers, so that the landscaping would be set. I asked Eddie if he could recommend someone for lighting, and he said that was something they could take care of. They did and it looks incredible.
Their pricing was wonderful, especially for the quality of work.
I HIGHLY recommend Nelson's for landscaping. They were so professional, hard working, and available. -
There are no aquatic plant nurseries anywhere near me, so I made the hour trek out to Nelson's and I was not disappointed. I am new to water gardening and needed some help. The man named Chico helped me and answered all my questions and pointed me in the right direction as to what was appropriate for my container garden. Who knew there were "mini" water lilies? He also helped me out with a plant for my large fish tank. He explained the care and what to expect. So I was very happy I made the trip and will probably go back again because now I want another water garden. I was also pleased to see that plants were already in plant baskets with the proper medium, so I didn't have any extra expense except for the tablet fertilizer. The grounds are like shopping in a park. It's very pretty.

Really lovely little nursery ❤ We were just getting out the house and my mom found this place online. They sell koifish and just about any item you need to make a beautiful garden or water garden. The staff was courteous and let us feed their koifish. It is quiet and very peaceful to walk through. Probably my favorite nursery in the area now! Very unique and welcoming set up.

Really cool place to find actual plants for my pond. The staff was friendly and helpful. They packed my water plants properly so my car didn't get wet on my drive back home. So far the plants are doing well

After hearing so many mentions about this place on the Houston Gardening Facebook page, I've decided to check it out after Typhoon Texas (it's down the street 😁). This place did not disappoint! It's beautiful and the staff are great. Even if you're not there for ponds, fountains or water plants they have a little something for everyone. They have some succulent varieties I feel the big name stores don't have! To top it off, an associate let my toddler and I feed the kois! What a memorable experience as my toddler was in awe. Thank you for a wonderful time ❤️

The place to go for pond supplies. Very knowledgeable staff that were able to get us started in the right direction with our pond. They gave us some pellets to feed their koi which was a lot of fun.

Nice place to visit. They are a bit pricey, they are the only true water garden around, 77449. They sell KOI, water plants, out door seats, vases, and wind chimes etc... Hard to find elsewhere.

Wonderful!!! Absolutely beautiful and enchanting. We buy our fancy tailed gold fish and koi from them. This place is a whole experience, my kids love to go visit and walk around the ponds and listen to the wind chimes. If you haven’t gone yet you should definitely check it out. ❤️ They have beautiful pots, pond plants, plants, landscaping rocks, all the pond stuff, water lily’s, chimes, tables, outdoor rock tables….. and so much more.

Although this nursery is extremely expensive, I love how the staff there are always willing to help and they are extremely knowledgeable about all the plans for trees and flowers, and I’d like to walk around a nursery. It is quite enjoyable except everything is just so ridiculously more expensive than other places, we for granted we feel like the prices isn’t justified and they are definitely taking advantage of the fact that they are Closer to full share with all those new homes and out-of-town transplants who don’t know any better about pricing the only reason why I’m giving them such a high review is because we’ve loved their butterfly garden and we love the fact that they have chickens and goats there. It makes it feel very unique and I love how they allow the general public to experience a nursery with live animals. I think that’s super unique and charming, but I think if you want some real flowers and trees and landscaping for your home you’re better off going somewhere else probably closer to Houston. I’ll definitely get more for your buck

Great little nursery in Katy that has a good selection of plants and also your needs for water gardening. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable.

I love this place! Excellent deals on flower pots during their ding dang event! Beautiful, healthy plants and fish. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff on every aspect of water gardens. The place to go for exquisite tropical lilies!

Nelson's Water Garden is a fantastic local spot for gardeners and indoor plant lovers! The staff is always friendly, and they have all your needs for backyard ponds, and water fountains/displays as well.
They even have a section just for Texas-native plants that come from smaller local nurseries. I love coming just to walk around and view the water features too!
One thing I didn't see much of is hardware/gardening tools, but the selection of beautiful plants and lawn ornaments is more than enough to make up for that. This establishment is well worth the visit! -
This was such a gorgeous place to shop for plants we spent an hour browsing extra helpful amazing staff, helped me take my stuff to the car and were very available to answer questions clean bathroom we got seeds and a hibiscus, a dill and coriander plant. Very kid friendly allowed my son to roam about and look at everything

They put on a great Easter egg hunt for the community! My baby and I got to explore the gardens and look at all the beautiful plants and yard decor for sale. We’ll definitely be back!

Nelson water Gardens did an unbelievable job in our community.
They came and built a fountain and landscaped it in four days. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
Peter Nelson and Eddie Albertson and all their Crew worked very clean hard and we’re a pleasure to work with.
Talk about a first class operation, thats what Nelson Water Gardens is.
Peter, I applied you and Eddie and your whole crew.
Again, thank you for your talent and your knowledge. -
Love this place, it’s my to go place whenever I need to feel better at any circumstance ❤️❤️💫🌹
Beautiful environment + beautiful & kind employees and owner ❤️ -
Think everyone woke up today and decided they needed to buy plants and flowers etc. we started at Houston garden centers but it was sooooo busy, no parking, so crowded so I googled an alternate garden center in Katy area and Nelson’s popped up. It was only 6 minutes away from where we were so we decided to check it out. So glad we did. Ample parking even though the place was busy, but it didn’t feel crowded like previous place. Night be all the water fountains they had going, I don’t know it was just a much more calm and relaxing experience. Thank you Kyle who helped us to dings exactly what we were looking for and making our experience there seamless and without anxiety. Left with lots of beautiful flowers and my new favorite garden center.
