When calling for an estimate, an appointment was made for same day. Ernesto was very knowledgeable and informative. Reasonable estimate was prepared quickly. Approved the estimate and work was completed the next day. Ernesto did a great job. Ready to connect my emergency generator to home natural gas.

Second time using Acosta Plumbing.. Superior service. Response time was fast, plumber was professional and knowledgeable, and the price was reasonable. I will be using Acosta again when other plumbing issues arise.

I have used their services for showers, water heaters, leaks etc. They are awesome, often early to the appointments and patient. They explain everything, provide options and prices are very competitive! I'll keep using them on my houses.

I called 6 plumbing companies, left 4 call back messages and got to speak with 2 representatives. Even though my plumbing issue was not an emergency, the Acosta rep told me he could send someone to my house within the hour and I would get a FREE estimate for my problem. The plumber, Brett, gave me a very fair quote to fix 2 toilets. He was very professional, personable, and simply did a FANTASTIC JOB in a very short period of time. I will use Acosta every time I have a plumbing problem in the future. We had a great experience and would highly recommend using Acosta Plumbing if you have a plumbing issue. Thanks again Brett!!

Poor Experience, Repeated Issues, and Questionable Practices – Would Not Recommend

We hired Ernesto from Acosta Plumbing in Katy, TX to inspect our attic plumbing while all of the insulation had been removed. The goal was to identify any leaks or potential issues before new insulation was installed. Ernesto pointed out some old ductwork as a concern, which was removed—but he failed to inspect or even mention the attic AC drain line, despite having full access at the time.

A few years later, we experienced a catastrophic water leak from the attic into our bathroom caused by a clogged and improperly installed AC drain line—exactly the kind of problem he should have flagged. When we called him, he deflected responsibility, saying someone else had “done us wrong.” In reality, Ernesto had the opportunity to prevent this and simply didn’t.

Later, when we hired him to redo that same AC drain line, he quoted one price, but when it came time to pay, the bill suddenly increased significantly. We had to escalate the issue to the owner. In their defense, the owner did the right thing and refunded the money—but the sudden price change felt shady and unprofessional.

Additionally, when we asked Ernesto to move a bathroom sink drain just a few inches to accommodate a new vanity (in the same bathroom destroyed by the leak), he quoted thousands of dollars—even though the drywall was already removed and the work was straightforward. There were clearly more cost-effective options, but he presented it as a major problem to justify the cost. At that point, he should have taken some responsibility and done the work at little or no cost.

Perhaps most disturbing was Ernesto’s referral to a renovation/remediation company following the leak. This company turned out to be predatory and dishonest, trying to pressure my wife into signing contracts before showing written estimates—and later falsely claiming she had signed paperwork when she hadn’t. It felt like a setup, and I can’t help but wonder whether Ernesto was benefiting from referring us to them.

Overall, between the missed issues, inflated quotes, sudden price changes, and questionable referrals, I cannot recommend Acosta Plumbing or Ernesto. This experience has been frustrating, expensive, and left us with serious doubts about their integrity.

Ernesto Gonzalez and Fernando fixed my shower stream within 5 minutes. Water was barely flowing out of it. Wasn’t sure if it was the pipe, valve, or shower head. He removed the blockage from the shower head and it was back to new. He only charged me the visitation fee and nothing else. Very kind and professional plumber. Thank you, sir!

Acosta plumbing did a great job fixing my bathtub fixture. Ernesto arrived in time and was polite and prepared. He made me feel very comfortable and I was confident he could resolve the issue quickly. The price he gave me was clear and reasonable and when I agreed he was quick to get the issues resolved. He was respectful of our house and cleaned up after himself. I will be happy to use Acosta Plumbing again and would request Ernesto - he’s a pleasure to deal with.

Got a high water bill so wanted to check for any leaks. Plumber came next day (could have been same day if I was available) and checked the house. He didn't find anything and didn't charge, which was so nice. I've used them before as well and they were reasonably priced and helpful. Highly recommend!
