They’re ok. However I had to supervise his “superintendent” way too much. Such as missing specifics on the plans we called for. Also his flooring guys stink. They bed our tile in partial mounds of Mortar. Essentially just a glob enough to hold them in place. So once something falls on a portion of tile that has no mortar underneath, the tile breaks. He seems like a nice guy, but (some) his subs are subpar. He’s not the worst. But he’s not the best. Choose as you will.

Highly recommend James Parks, he’s built one house for us and am now preparing to build another. I would trust no other builder in East Texas

Shout out to Parks LLC and our beautiful home! We started this process over 3 years ago and this company was patient and understanding in our timeline and honored our original agreed on price. James Parks was so professional in his presentation to us as far as what he provides as a builder. He was upfront with pricing and construction. Danielle, our front lady who we love, was amazing and took great care of us. But truly, the Oscar goes to Reid T., our foreman, who was so patient and guided us through some severe design flaws via the architect (another Yelp for another day (Blue Line Design..NO.) Nobody anticipated these flaws based on the fact that these are professional architects (or are they?) but Reid caught them every time. He reassured us that the awkward wall upstairs could be remedied He was empathetic and corrected several cabinet issues for us. He was never pushy but such bold, albeit, minor suggestions that made the world of difference in our house. He took minor design flaws and rocked them into full blown made for TV interior design show specials. We are blessed to be living in such a beautiful house and thankful to Reid who was so genuine and purposeful with all our questions and always had a solution. We are not design magnets and his suggestions were so welcome and helpful. We loved his approach to the home building process as it seemed as if he were sincere in building it for his own family…a place that truly was a home. Parks is a great company. Danielle is great, James is awesome, but the cape goes to Reid. Thanks so much for our forever most beautiful home.

The staff was so easy to work with. Questions were answered in a timely manner. Change orders were prompt and completed. Home was finished in 3 months as stated. Don't buy or use Park Construction!! We bought a house in Trinidad and had a problem with the floors from Day 1 they kept promising a resolution. When we got to the almost one year point the owner stood in my kitchen and assured us they would replace the floors and even asked what color we would prefer. Once we hit the 1 year they told us it wasn't their problem and we should refer to our home warranty company since it was past 1 year. They clearly know that is not a covered item. They installed our floors wrong admitted it and refused to make it right. They don't stand behind their work

We can't say enough about the great job that Parks Construction did on the exterior remodeling of our small lake house. They exceeded our expectations! It looks almost like a completely different home now! Recently one of our family members came out for the weekend and drove right by it because they didn't recognize it.

James, Gage, Morgan & Chason were all very professional and responsive. They clearly understood what we were trying to achieve, and they contributed additional ideas and suggestions to improve upon our vision and make it a reality. They have the knowledge and resources to do a quality job and get it done quickly.

We started off working with a different contractor, who really did not understand the business, with three months of promises, mistakes, excuses, and delays just trying to get a final design and quote. After giving up and contacting Parks construction, James met with us the next day, a design and quote in 2 days, and they were ready to begin the work immediately!

Parks was able to accommodate a Change Order that we made halfway through the construction, and when we had a small problem with a leak after a heavy storm in the middle of construction - they immediately took care of it.

We HIGHLY recommend Parks Construction, and we will certainly be contacting them again when we are ready for our next project.

Parks really has a great team, fast, reliable and honest. When we built my house they helped me in ways where other builders wouldn’t/couldn’t.

I have been selling real estate for 33 years and I have to tell you James Parks is absolutely one of the best builders in the Cedar Creek Lake area. He builds quality homes and stands behind them with a 10-year bonded builder warranty. Per square foot it would be hard to beat his pricing. I believe him to be the best in the Cedar Creek Lake area.

James Parks of Parks Construction has helped us twice now on an addition to our 1998 home and a remodel on our living room where he removed the low 8’ ceilings and vaulted and beamed the ceilings and wow what a incredible improvement to our home. On both occasions James and his entire crew were on time, respectful and the trades did an excellent job at their craft. The attention to detail was outstanding and was always listened to for ideas or concerns where they were promptly considered and incorporated into the plan.

We would highly recommend Parks Construction for any of your building projects and we will definitely use them for any future projects.

More specifically Paul, anytime we have a question or a concern about our warranty he picks up so fast! The company all around is a great one and the homes are BEAUTIFUL. Thank you Parks for our beautiful home and for being so quick and easy to work with.

These people don’t build homes with dignity. Just slapping homes together, collecting their money & going about their lives. They use cheap material and cut corners. They were the most difficult to deal with when it came to their home warranty. And they will cheat you out of the foundation warranty. Their warranty walk through agents will provide you false information about their warranties and processes, you’ll have it in writing that you were misinformed but Parks Construction will still not take accountability or make proper accommodations. Takes them prolonged months to fix repairs that they do “honor”, so you’re outside of your warranty expiration when they’re finally able to schedule contractors to fix the repairs. James Parks uses his wife, Jenny Parks; who is an attorney, as a threat when he doesn’t feel his company should fix any of their faulty work or take accountability for misinformation. I would run from this builder, your house will stand a chance of aging better as well. Myself and my neighbors on both sides of me have had the same issues with our new build homes. My one neighbor never got some of her repairs complete although we personally met with James after matters had to be escalated to the bbb. I’m thankful this company taught me to research a builder’s work, reputation and character, before settling on a home. I would give a rating below zero if I could but Google doesn’t offer that feature.

Parks built my home and it is a gorgeous house. They went above and beyond to take care of my needs during construction and finished everything in a timely manner.
