My A/C unit failed on a holiday weekend. I called Arrow Service Center. They were at my home in no time. Repairs were completed and my AC was up and running on the same day. I have been using them for my regular AC maintenance and repairs for several years. I have tried other companies in the past nothing compares to their knowledgeable and friendly technicians. I can sincerely say Arrow Service Center is the best HVAC company in the Austin area.

I have called several times over the years with hearing and cooling issues, and they always get someone out immediately. That is a great feeling.

I was referred to this company by my homeowners insurance. They did everything they needed to fix my problem on the hottest day of the year. They came out in one hour after I called in desperation. In addition to fixing my air-conditioning unit, he taught me how to maintain it and clear easy instructions that I can understand. I highly recommend this business!

We selected Arrow for a number of reasons, but it was primarily because of the detailed attention we received from Jorge during the initial meeting. We had many questions and he was patient, kind, and very knowledgable. So far we are quite pleased with our new HVAC system and plan to use Jorge and Arrow for our annual maintenance.

Exercise extreme caution when utilizing Arrow’s services.
I initially requested service for a $90 service call, which I understood would cover repair costs if necessary. The technician was thorough and successfully identified and fixed the issue (rodent-chewed wire). However, the repair process took an excessive 3 hours, resulting in an hourly charge of $189. While I am not opposed to the cost, I have several reasons why I will not recommend or use Arrow again:
    1. Throughout the 3-hour repair, the technician failed to establish clear expectations regarding the hourly charge. Given my electrician’s hourly rate of $140, I had a reasonable estimate. A simple statement such as, “I have not yet identified the issue, it will likely take several hours to determine and/or fix, and we charge $190 per hour, plus parts,” would have been appropriate.
    2. During the repair, the technician noted that the unit operates optimally without spliced wires, despite the original installation using spliced wires. He chose to cut and resplice existing wires (reducing their length) rather than rerunning the wire. However, he informed me of this decision only after spending the entire 3 hours. Consequently, I was left with no option to pay a higher fee to rerun the wire. As a result, I now face the prospect of paying my electrician (or an HVAC technician) more money to rerun the wire if the splices cause future issues.
    3. The rodent infestation necessitated additional sealing of the entry point of the compressor into the house. While spreading silicone into the hole, the wire nut around the splice immediately became disconnected. I did not overspread the silicone, as a small amount was sufficient. However, as soon as I began applying the silicone, the wire became loose. There is barely enough wire to connect the spliced wire. Fortunately, the wire is low voltage, so I was able to reconnect it.
Upon contacting Arrow to discuss the aforementioned issue, I encountered a defensive response from the representative. My intention was to provide my experience and inquire about their service rates. Unfortunately, the individual’s demeanor was unfriendly. He attributed the damage to my actions, despite the fact that a light rain or rodent touch would have caused the splice to break. Furthermore, he informed me that they refrain from disclosing the underlying issue, as they believe that if they did, customers could potentially resolve it independently. While this practice may be standard, in my 20 years of homeownership, HVAC technicians have consistently explained the problem, charged me for the service call, and provided me with the option to repair the issue myself. In some instances, they may not be aware of the exact issue but establish reasonable expectations to avoid unexpected bill surprises.
Although the representative’s explanation was understandable, I would have preferred to pay the hourly rate required to identify the issue and obtain a quote for the repair. Subsequently, I would have shopped around for alternative options. He drew a comparison to getting an alternator repair on a car, which I found perplexing. Typically, an auto repair shop would provide a quote that includes the diagnostic fee and the repair cost. If the diagnostic indicates that the alternator is the issue, the customer can choose to pay for the diagnostic or the repair. However, if the repair does not resolve the problem, there is no refund. This approach is generally accepted, but it deviates significantly from the situation I encountered.
Apart from this incident, there were a few other minor issues. Overall, I am satisfied that they were able to fix my air conditioner on a hot day. However, I felt taken advantage of and will not use their services again.

Al and his team just left. My Ac is running! It went out yesterday at 2pm, by 3pm he was here working on it. We bought this house with an ac unit that looked like it was tied together to work, so it was no shock to us that it broke. They gave us a great price and installed the new ac unit inside and outside. Al is very nice and friendly. They said they would be here at 11 am, but arrived at 12:30. They still get 5 stars bc they brought an extra guy to help them work faster and make up the time. 2-1/2 hours later and I can feel the cool air!
    THANK YOU!

Arrow has always been our go to HVAC service provider… This last freeze they were unavailable when I needed to get them out to one of our rental property so I called another company and then ended up bringing arrow out and they fix things for a fraction of the quoted cost… Highly recommend!

During the January 2026 freeze, we had a pipe burst and lost water. With a toddler and two dogs at home, it was a stressful situation. Arrow Service Center was quick to respond and got us scheduled for the very next day, even with icy road conditions.

Jason and Turtle were prompt, knowledgeable, and had everything fixed in about 45 minutes. They even took time to share helpful, home-specific advice for preventing future freeze issues. Excellent service all around - highly recommend!

Michael came out to perform an annual service check-up on my system, and I am more than pleased. He was professional, courteous, thorough, and left my HVAC system in better shape after completing just an INSPECTION. He cleaned drains, made recommendations to keep the system running smoothly, and didn't suggest unnecessary up-charges like other companies tend to do. I paid the $89, as advertised, and Arrow HVAC performed an honest, no-pressure, check-up on my system which I was told is running just fine. 5 Stars and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone.
