Home Services reviews in Lewisville, Texas

The last cleaning was a little disappointing. At first I thought everything looked great but later in the day, in different light, I could see lots of streaking on the glass on several pictures and also my stainless refrigerator. Not sure what product was used but I had to reclean those. I've also noticed a few places with black scuffs against the baseboards that seem to be from the vacuum cleaner.

I had used Merry Maids before several years back. I was always pleased by their professionalism and their results. When I saw them on Groupon I was thrilled and signed up. Big mistake. Over the last several months this is what has happened: The first cleaning crew stayed on their phone, yelling and screaming for someone to take the "meat out of the freezer". They did not clean the bathrooms nor did they mop - until I asked them to. I called the Lewisville office and asked that they not come back. I received a new crew the following time and they were slightly better but with no eye for detail and the bathrooms were not cleaned properly, the kitchen counters were not wiped down, dusting was poor and they did not move the rugs to mop. I called again. I took time off of work for the next appointment and "taught" the cleaning crew how to clean the bathrooms to my standard - which was behind the toilet , around the base and under the bowl edge; the shower I wanted the glass cleaned and the door edges cleaned - pretty basic. I had also asked that the tile areas be mopped with vinegar (which I provided) and hot water - they continued to use the chemical cleaner up until 2 months ago (been with them since December). The floor rugs are now being moved to mop; however, they are replacing them while the floor is still wet. After every visit I have called and I have had several supervisors come and review. At one point they were training a new person (I had taken another 1/2 day off to supervise cleaning) - and I asked for them - was told no they were already booked up. When I tried to pull out of the deal I was told that there would be a charge involved with that. I was also told that my house was very "cluttery" which is why it wasn't receiving the level of clean. Yes, we have a lot of stuff - but the bathroom toilet and showers are not cluttery. This has been a poor experience this time around and I am disappointed. I gave 2 stars because the supervisors have been responsive with changing the team - but they did let one person come back 3 times when I asked them not to allow her to return. None of this is unknown to them. I have shared my experience every step of the way and have sent pictures and comments each time.

"Our previous cleaning ladies quit and I was like we need some one ASAP. Got a quote super fast and had our first of many cleanings today 4/12. Super happy with it all.".

The cleaning crew assigned to our home do a great job with a great attitude, and with minimal direction. We're very pleased with their work in every respect.

They worked the whole time they were here but I was outside working on another ‘project’ so wasn’t inside to ask them to do a few specific things. They left without letting me know they were finished and I would have liked to have talked with them before they left.

Merry Maids showed up on time with 2 very professional cleaners ready to go. They were kind, thoughtful and did an excellent job. We were moving out of a home, and their work made the house look brand new. Bathrooms were spotless and floors immaculately clean. They also were done within 2 hours which I found very fast for the size of the home. I appreciated all their work and very impressed!! I would highly recommend them and will use them again!!

The 2 ladies that came to our house were very courteous & friendly. They did a great job cleaning & they worked quickly. It was a pleasure to have them.

They have been great this past year. BUT, my only issue is that I feel I need to renegotiate my contract. I only want them to clean ONE bedroom (my other two BR's don't need it). It's a 1200 sq. ft house, so I think $180 is a little steep for 1 BR, 2 baths, kitchen, dining & Living room. Other than that, they're friendly & respect our property & work quickly. Thank you

A tad expensive, but they came early, finished quickly, and had my landlords home squeaky clean for a new Tenant to move into! And of all the services I called, they were the only ones who went in person to give an accurate estimate, and were able to be there within 24 hours!

I was very happy with the service I received. I'm prepping for a big move and I wanted the new space to be spotless. I'm grateful for the transparency and responsiveness on the part of this business. I was able to reach them easily by phone, and we connected multiple times during the cleaning when I had updates/questions. Ieshea, their manager, stopped by toward the end of the service to make sure everything met my expectations. This was an incredible help. I'll definitely contract again.

This is my first time needing/utilizing a cleaning service. I am extremely pleased with the results regarding the condition of my home and the value for the price. Compared to the other option that was presented to me, I selected this one based upon the responsiveness and price options.
My technicians were very professional, flexible and THOROUGH. The options for cleaning services that were offered were more fitting for my needs at this time, compared to their competitor.
Thanks Merry Maids and I look forward to our monthly service relationship. -
I used them for the move out clean to my sisters apartment. They did an awesome and thorough job. It looked brand new. I didn’t think to take pics but management company had no complaints .

Mary did better than a team of two maids. Like all the maids, she is friendly and respectful. She gave me advice on my bathroom mats. I appreciate her cleaning advice.

This has been a nightmare since the first time they cleaned. I filled out the contract and spoke with the manager. I let her know that I would leave the key under that mat for the first clean and that they could take it with them when they left since I was going to have bi-weekly cleanings. The day they arrived I was called and told that they were there and could I open the door. I had to remind them that the key was under the mat and to take it with them when they were finished. When I got home from work I was very unhappy with the cleaning. We paid $75 extra for the "deep cleaning" that was required for the first cleaning. If there hadn't been stickers on our toilet paper, I'm not sure I would have known that anyone had cleaned at all. I called the manager and told her I wanted to cancel since I was unhappy with the service. She asked that I allow a different team to come out for our next cleaning and that she would take $75 off of that next service. I agreed to give them another try. Fast forward to today. The team got to my house and again I was called to open the door. I told them that the key was taken with the previous team. They finally figured that out and got in. I was then asked to crate my cats for the next cleaning service. Apparently my cats were hissing and swatting at them. I had extensive remodeling done through the whole month of January, guests in and out over the holidays, and they barely even acknowledged anyone. They couldn't care less about people being in the house, let alone hiss or swat. I asked for a video of that behavior but I have never received one. I told the manager that I wanted to cancel again. She said they could send a different team again. That would be a different team for each attempt at cleaning. I said no and that I would like to cancel. This is ridiculous. I was told that I have to supply a written 30 day notice. I'm not sure why since there has never been a cleaning that hasn't had issues. I went ahead and wrote a cancellation letter regardless. We'll see how this turns out.
Update: When we got home, there was one door in the whole house that was closed. It was our master bedroom door with our cat locked inside. No access to food, water, or litter for hours. I told the manager that I wanted my key back today and, although I am apparently bound by a contract for two more cleanings, I never want them coming to my house again. That is disgusting!! -
Merry Maids provided a Move Out cleaning for my 2000sf home. They were able to accommodate my hectic schedule, worked quickly, and left the property spotless, even locking up for me when they were finished. Mary was great at communicating with me, as I had to be offsite for a spell, and they finished faster than I anticipated. Highly recommended!

Had a great experience with the Merry Maids team. Scheduling was great, communication top-notch and competitively priced. The job was well done and efficiently completed. Highly recommend.

My family decided to put a condominium on the market. I contacted Mary Maids for a deep cleaning, as the condominium had been vacant for many months. The cleaning was scheduled for only two days later. A crew of three arrived on time with all of their own supplies and equipment. They completed a very thorough cleaning. The price was very reasonable.

I wasn’t confident at 1st with using Merry Maids but the manager & her team won me over. The professionalism, willingness to meet our needs with a cleaning service was great. I’m glad I gave them a chance & look forward to stress free cleans every 3 weeks!

I paid $606. To clean a 3/2. This was a one time after construction. The house had construction dust all over which is why I need some help. The instructions were floors, internal windows, baseboads and kitchen cabinets along with typical cleaning. One cleaner arrived at 12:15 and the other about 1:30. They worked very hard and were extremely courteous. But couldn’t finish after 4 hrs. The hardwood floors were quickly damped mopped and showed powder residue. I had expected more people for $600. Get all details before engaging this company. I have spent the day cleaning my hardwoods.

Not good!! I specifically asked that the walls be dusted. They weren't touched in multiple rooms. The 1 carpeted room looked like it was run over once quickly with a vacuum, lots of dust and dirt was left on the carpet. The tile in front of the fireplace was still dirty. The house was empty and I wasn't able to be there. I'd say they did the bare bare minimum. Not worth the money!

We contacted this company to provide constructive feedback and were transferred to Marcel, the branch manager. Instead of listening, she immediately argued with us and insisted they already did everything correctly. When we stated we wanted to cancel our service, she became argumentative and raised her voice.
We agreed to allow one final cleaning. The following day, we called again to formally cancel. Once again, we spoke with Marcel, who continued to argue and raise her voice and then claimed we were required to provide 30 days’ notice. To avoid further conflict, we agreed to one final cleaning to comply.
Today, she called again with the same argumentative tone and now claimed that because our notice was not in writing, they would be charging us again.
This message serves as our formal written notice that we are cancelling our service effective immediately. We do not authorize any further cleanings or charges.
