I had Merry Maids a few years ago when I lived in Arizona, and I was happy to find them here in Denton. Unlike most of the cleaning ladies I've had in the past, they are very detail oriented and they never cancel at the last minute. They get the job done, and they do it right.

I couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome of the initial deep clean appointment. The cleaning techs were extremely thorough and very sweet. My home looked amazing when they were done.

We were charged $350 for a "deep cleaning." After we asked repeatedly if there was anything we needed to do to prepare for the cleaning we were told several times we did not need to do anything. Then when the maids arrived they refused to clean most of the baseboards because furniture was in the way, had we been notified that we needed to move furniture like we asked we would have gladly moved the furniture ahead of time.

Many things that we were told would be cleaned specifically were not cleaned, such as our vent grates, the side of our fridge, and any of the blinds on the windows.

When they had questions they refuse to talk to me the person inside the house with them and instead decided to pester my wife Savannah Burr who was at work and unable to answer.

I also completely disagree with subscription system, if anything the first cleaning should be discounted as a trial instead of charged extra for what they claim is a "deep clean".

The only resolution necessary would be a full refund to my wife Savannah Burr.

I paid for a one time deep cleaning for the morning that our house would be put on the market. I scheduled it at 9am because the woman I spoke to on the phone assured me it should be done around 11. At 1:20, the team was still at our home and we had to begin showings while they were there. I came back home days later to see that multiple things had not been cleaned. There was a huge wad of dead bugs and hair in the kitchen sink, the master bathroom had not been mopped, there was still dust and cobwebs in multiple corners of the main living space, the faucets still had hard water buildup, there was water in the microwave, the front closet wasn’t vacuumed, and my son’s bed rails had been sprayed with pledge but not wiped down. The house was not very dirty to begin with, so that fact that I paid $450 for a DEEP cleaning and came back to a dirty home after 4 hours of a cleaning team there is infuriating. I want my money back.

So thankful for Merry Maids! It’s been so stressful trying to keep my house as clean as I would like for it to be on top of balancing everything else in my world, and this service has done so much to eliminate that issue. Thank you!

My experience with merry maids was a nightmare from the beginning. I was given certain expectations and features of the cleaning that I felt would be an asset to my home yet each time people came to clean none of those things were done. I was promised that my dogs would be put back in the crate and wanted to know the names of the dogs that never happened I requested that certain items of furniture be wiped down on each visit that never happened and the quality of the cleaning was absolutely horrible at 1 point I called to cancel my service yet gave them an opportunity to re clean the following week and the cleaning was worse than it was the 1st time the floors clearly had not been swept mopped there was hair in the bathroom the kitchen sink obviously had not been cleaned out there was still debris in it and then they had the nerve to try to charge me for that cleaning. After all of this I was told that it was because my expectations just couldn't be met and that I was difficult to please. I took pictures and videos of how disgusting my home was and this branch told me that they were short staffed and had trouble finding time to return phone calls that came from Iyesha the office manager that was the excuse that I got for not being followed up with. I was then told that I would be responsible for paying the 1st time cleaning fee that was waved whenever I started, no concern for the fact that my service had been horrible and one problem after another but on top of that they were going to charge me some more for bad service. This Lewisville office has poor management poor follow up and poor accountability. Very disappointed.

Terrible experience. My stepdad passed away unexpectedly and I called Merry Maids to do a deep clean as there was going to be people coming in and out of the house. They showed up on time and were there for several hours but not sure what they did while they were there. I got home and the floors looked like they hadn’t been touched, I had to wipe down bathroom counters, etc. My mom (newly widowed) was up at 4am vacuuming the entire house because the floors didn’t even look like they had been touched. I called and asked for a refund since it was not up to par at all and she gave me a $32.67 refund on a $346 “deep cleaning” service. TERRIBLE. Thank you for make a tough week an even tougher one. Do not recommend.

DO NOT sign up with this company. The first clean will be decent, after that it goes down hill. These people are very rude and will not cancel the service despite quoting a 30 day cancellation in writing rule, which has been done 60 days ago. Complaint filed with the Texas Attorney General- We will see what happens from here and how much further we need to go to cancel a maid service

They did a good job over all. The only thing I didn’t like was my light fixture weren’t clean and the top of my cabinets were pretty filthy. Not sure if they do windows either. I figured they don’t. Overall they did good.

One of the Merry Maids cleaned my cabinet doors in my kitchen. I was going to repaint them and she did such a good job they looked freshly painted Thank You

Xavier and Shanelle worked very hard. I had a deep clean and most everything was done except for a few areas that I will have them fix when they come for my first regular clean. There was a lot for them to do but they kept working hard and overall did a great job.

I took a leap of faith and hired Merry Maids sight unseen to sanitize my brother's home. He had been ill for days and had to be hospitalized. His home was a mess and I was in Florida and could not get there. These ladies went in and made it a home again. He is now home resting in his beautiful, fresh, clean home and recovering nicely. I am forever grateful to Merry Maids for doing an outstanding job and would recommend their services to anyone.

My house was immaculate thanks to my cleaning crew. The ladies were new, had someone making sure they wre aware of my expectations and they delivered 100%. Shout out to Aisha for her management and oversight; Melissa for her training expertise showing the new crew techniques to ensure no misteps or oversights; and Ophelia and Jane. They are true professionals! I would have no hesitations in recommending these ladies or their services.

Great first time experience with Merry Maids. Friendly, thorough, they worked quickly, and there was a “quality check” before they left.

Didn’t sweep or mop the bathrooms.. left sheets untucked on the bed.. just laid them under the comforter.. did not vacuum carpet in open linen closet.. overall just very disappointing.. and I could not communicate with them because of the language barrier! I will not be using you again

Merry Maid Cleaners has proven to be very good. They are timely and courteous. Extra effort is put into areas they mark for special attention.

Really happy with the actual cleaners, but won’t be using MM again because the dispatch is an absolute mess. At the most recent cleaning, I detailed specifically the four rooms I wanted done and where each was (via text message). When the cleaners arrived, their instructions only included one of the four and two I hadn’t requested. The dispatcher called me and said she had just assumed I wanted what had been cleaned the last time (a year before). When I sent her a screenshot of our actual conversation including detailed rooms and her quote, she responded that she couldn’t possibly honor that quote for the rooms I’d wanted cleaned. Exasperated, I told her just to have them go for as long as they could for the quoted amount and detailed items to prioritize. After the cleaning, i reached out to coordinate payment (and add a tip), and the dispatcher never responded. This was my second time using MM and the first time also had dispatch issues (very similar issues where the cleaners’ instructions bore little resemblance to my request).

Thank goodness for the Merry Maids. Caught between a required move-out date and a filthy house to move into left us with no option but to call for help. It was Merry Maids to the rescue! The office manager was awesome and accommodated our needs. Two maids were sent that day. With boxes everywhere the maids were still able get started worked at making my new filthy house less stinky and sparkling clean. I'm very picky and like bleach cleaners best, so where I felt bleach was needed the maids agreed to use my cleaners. Otherwise they brought their own proprietary cleaners, cleaning cloths, vacuum sweeper. The maids were professional, pleasant to have in my home, and worked diligently at cleaning up the filth left behind by the sellers. The manager stopped in to meet us and check to confirm that the maids were doing a professional job. Job well done! Thank you Merry Maids!

This was our first visit and wasn’t impressed. Set an appointment for 1pm - 3pm because both my parents had just been in the hospital for some serious things and they were informed of that. They tried to come 2 hours early without a call. Just a text. Tried texting back and got no response. Called them and left a message. Waited and called back to get ahold of a person as the ladies were showing up. My parents were both still sleeping. The two girls they sent out were very polite, however the job done was not well. Their manager came out later to help. Spider webs on walls and ceiling in a couple rooms. Sink in guest bath was not completely cleaned. Webs and bugs in several windows. Things not moved when dusting. The floors were lightly gone over but not cleaned. Several places not even vacuumed. A couple of light switches didn’t even looked touched. Also left window blinds open after they dusted. The only reason we used them to clean my parents house after they had both been in the hospital is because when we called they said they cleaned top to bottom and left to right all cobwebs, picture frames and light switches. If I wanted to check on everything that was supposed to be done, I could’ve hired some kids.

As of 3/26/20 the only call we received was to set up our next appointment. No other calls from them at all.

Crew was timely in arrival and did amazing work! Everything was extremely clean, and I will keep Merry Maids in mind for future use.

Very professional, on time, and leaves your home spotless and fresh. I will definitely call on Merry Maids again when I need a clean home!
