Scheduling service - wow! Within seconds of hanging up to schedule the appointment, I had a text message confirmation as well as an email confirmation. Super easy and incredibly friendly from the get-go. I called on a Friday and the appointment is scheduled for Tuesday morning. Another very nice touch was a video link texted to me with a welcome video from the owners expressing their desire to offer five star service. Veteran owned as well! Michael (Tech) just finished up the work. He was incredible. Very thorough, explained everything, top notch! They've earned a new customer for sure.

First off, do NOT believe the overall star rating for this company -- they provide financial compensation to the customers who leave them positive feedback...

Secondly, do NOT waste your time with this company, because despite them handling our sprinkler maintenance/repair AND lawn treatments, for absolutely no reason, they suddenly ghosted us 5 months ago w/o so much as a heads-up -- they simply stopped coming to do the monthly lawn treatments -- and when we finally inquired why they had not been out here in over 4 months (despite zero pets, zero problems, and always paying their invoices w/in 48 hours), not only did they NOT apologize for the disrespectful and unprofessional nature of this unwarranted ghosting; but the dismissive response we got simply said, "I have forward[ed] your message to our weed control specialist! I will have him reach out to you regarding your treatment!"

....Well, that was 6 days ago and not a peep since. (for the record, I wasn't even rude during the inquiry into their unprofessional and disrespectful behavior, simply stating: "You guys have not been out here for lawn treatments since April. What's going on?") -- Up to that point, I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was some kind of oversight; but it's clear now that this has been (and continues to be) entirely intentional... which, again, completely out of the blue and unwarranted, and therefore, pretty perplexing.

I have no patience for people who act this way, personally or professionally; but the fact that they couldn't even bother to feign remorse for, whatever happened (ghosting us without notice or reason), is par for the course at this point.

Also, someone needs to explain to these people that simply adding an exclamation point at the end of a sentence does not equate to GOOD customer service; and does not convey caring nor remorse -- it simply conveys shouting your response(s).

Regarding your reply to the accurate review above:

    1) Customers are offered $10 off their next bill if they leave a google review about how easy scheduling with you is -- That IS financial compensation for positive reviews (and is why the vast majority of the reviews here mention 'ease of scheduling' specifically, and rarely much else.)

    2) It was certainly never my experience that this compensation is only offered on a limited basis OR only to new customers, as we continued to receive these offers every single month we were your customer, because we never left a review. We find this approach to be highly unethical and manipulative, because it's only done in an attempt to artificially inflate positive reviews and the overall star rating, which is why we never took advantage of the plethora of offers we received during all that time.

    3) The reason provided in your reply for you "ghosting" us is in no way reflective of the reason provided in the brief phone call you placed earlier this morning, prior to this reply, in which you stated that you had "changed lawn-treatment providers and some customers got lost in the transition"... not that we were "mistakenly removed from the schedule after we stopped accepting new customers in our neighborhood." Pathetic.

    4) Whatever the actual truth of the matter is, matters not, as you've proven to be highly unprofessional and unreliable. No matter what the case, you had an obligation to reach out to us and the other customers you mentioned (if any) to inform them of a temporary or permanent loss of service -- this did not occur. You were also given a golden opportunity to rectify this and provide an explanation -- this did not occur either -- instead, we were ignored once again... And now I read your reply, oozing w/ dishonesty, and you have the nerve to talk about regaining your trust??

The only honest bit in all of that was, "This was absolutely our mistake, and it should never have happened." As a result, I don't believe you're Veteran owned -- Veterans typically have more integrity -- If true, stop saying so, because you're giving Veterans a bad name!

Called lawn sense for a leak in one of my sprinkler stations near a long stacked stone wall across the back of my pool. The technician came out and dug a small hole down to a pipe by the wall. He then told me the pipe ran under the wall and the only way to fix it was to tear out the wall. Really??? He then charged me $80 for this great information and left. I asked my yard guy to look at it. He fixed it in 90 minutes. The technician didn’t even dig in the right place. He dug up a supply line for the swimming pool. Scheduling is easy though, I’d give 5 stars for that.
Addendum: The service manager contacted me immediately after reading my review. He assured me that the area would have been further excavated and the pipes/break properly identified before taking any action and that demolishing the wall would have been the very last resort and rarely necessary . He refunded the trip charge as a consideration for the confusion. After this further interaction I feel that Lawn Sense is a good company that does care about customer service and satisfaction. I have subsequently increased my rating to 4 stars and I would be happy to give them another try in the future.

Past week (on 07/10) I had an appointment for new sprinkler controller (Rachio 3) installation. However , without my permission the old controller (weathermatic ) along with the zone information instructions sheet was taken away by the technician. I tried reporting this issue to the management but have not received any response yet . Also since then we’ve been seeing fluctuations in electricity (lights going off) . Not sure how this company has got 5 star reviews .

PS : situation kept getting worse I see a heavy water leakage from one of the sprinklers exactly a week after replacing sprinkler heads.

I called Lawn Sense about a really bad ant problem at my house, and I was so impressed with how fast and easy the whole process was. They were able to fit me in and get service started the same day, within just a few hours. The scheduling was smooth, quick, and hassle-free. They also worked with me on pricing and tailored the treatment plan to fit my specific needs and budget. I really appreciated how responsive and flexible they were. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for prompt, professional help with any yard issues!

Tristan did an awesome and timely job with my repair. I really appreciate his work!

Ethan was super knowledgeable and very pleasant. He’s a valued irrigation consultant.

I had a great experience with Lawn Sense. Damon and Eric did an excellent job, they took their time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood what was going on. They also fixed the issue I was having quickly and thoroughly. Their professionalism and attention to detail really stood out. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of sprinkler repair or maintenance. Great job all around!

The initial call to discuss my issue and their services encouraged me to book an appointment. Very detailed and courteous help. And, an earlier date became available and I was able to snag it! So far, so good. I need a reliable and reputable company that can do it all

Lawn Sense came out same day and replaced sprinkler valve. Very easy process and easy to work with, but the pricing is out of line with the work they do. They charged me a flat rate price and most things did not need to be done. I told them zone, I showed them valve, no digging, no cleaning out dirt. It took the technician minutes to pull old valve out and put new one in for over $400. I would not use again because of cost. Very nice technician and very response but until they get pricing down for the amount of work they do, I would not use.

    UPDATE (7/16/24):
Lawn Sense has responded to my initial review. They state that the repair in question was not performed by their company and is not covered under their warranty.

I would like to clarify that my primary concern, which remains unaddressed, was my repeated attempts to speak with a service manager about this issue - NOT seeking a warranty. I requested to speak with a service manager to discuss the work done on my property. Despite multiple attempts, I was unable to get a response to this specific request.

While I appreciate Lawn Sense's offer to inspect and repair the issue (at a cost), I remain disappointed in the lack of direct communication regarding my concerns about their previous work which could have resolved this amicably.

So, I am unable to recommend this service and advise caution to others considering them.

I'm reluctantly writing this review about Lawn Sense after attempting to resolve issues directly with their management.
About two years ago, I hired Lawn Sense to reactivate a dormant sprinkler system. They successfully got it operational, and a few months later, they repaired a leak under warranty.

This year, we experienced a massive leak near the house corner, resulting in a $200 water bill increase within weeks. I called a reputable plumber who excavated the area and discovered a leaking sprinkler system joint. The plumber provided photographic evidence showing extremely poor workmanship - the joint was unprotected and held together with wire. This repair cost $1,500, bringing the total unexpected expense to $1,700.

I reached out to Lawn Sense to discuss the issue and understand what happened. Initially, they asked me to text them the photo. However, since then, they've been unresponsive despite my attempts to speak with their Service Manager.

This experience has been disappointing, especially since I value long-term business relationships. Unfortunately, Lawn Sense doesn't seem to share this sentiment.

Tristan went over and beyond in order to find and fix the underground wiring for two unresponsive stations. We also upgraded the heads and got the system working 100%. Really appreciated.

My contractor asked these guys to come for an estimate on wires that were cut on construction. I spent an hour or so helping and showing the employee, stations and connecting wires so he could evaluate the cost. Somewhere along the line my contractor and this company got sideways and the manager told this guy to cut all my wires when I was in the house and left. I was a third party in this and they vandalized my property. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

All I can say is Clayton was amazing!! Prompt arrival, friendly, professional, informative and fast! System working great!

As a first time customer, scheduling with Lawnsense was easy. Additionally, they called me back twice, to expedite my appointment, which I appreciated!

Update: I had a friendly technician come out and assess my lawn irrigation system which included the repair of a leak. Unfortunately, the quote of $487, that I received for 15 to 30 minutes of labor per your technician, was exorbitant. I only paid you the service call amount.
I spoke to both the technician and called Lawn Sense to report the exorbitant expense and to communicate that I'd opt not to use your repair services.
Instead, I went with a different lawn service company to repair it, charging me only $65. See the attached before and after pictures.

Eric Reed with Lawn Sense was fantastic! Extremely professional and discussed everything that needed repairs. Highly recommend!

First time customer at Lawn Sense. Ethan was a very knowledgeable and thoughtful technician. I will be a return customer. He was great with our broken sprinkler valve location and repair.

BEWARE!! I hired this company for what should have been a simple irrigation repair. The technician was on-site for about an hour and only replaced a single sprinkler head, yet my company was billed over $1,400 for the visit. Unfortunately, I wasn’t on-site during the service and trusted the invoice as presented.

Later, my client informed me that the work performed didn’t match the price we were charged. When I reached out to the company to discuss the discrepancy, they told me there was nothing they could do.

Based on my experience, I’m extremely disappointed with their pricing practices and lack of willingness to resolve concerns. I will not be using their services again or recommending them to others.

Shea was very patient and answered a lot of my questions. He did an amazing job upgrading my sprinkler controller and would recommend his services!

Technician Ethan was professional and thorough with his reasoning for our leak under ground. We had a possible leak from an elbow pipe. Not 100% sure if this solved the problem since the ground is clay and water lingers with clay! It would be nice if the company would follow up and see if they really did fix the problem. $400 to dig and replace small elbow pipe, I did get $20 off to write this review. I will edit/ follow up on this post if this repair was a success or fail to the leak problem. Crossing my fingers!

Edit to add 3 days later on 4/7/2024: We learned the part replaced was not where the leak formed. Nearby, we found where the real leak is. Company is coming back tomorrow so we’ll see if they replace the part without charging hundreds for labor. Stay tune for a follow up!

Edit again at 4/8/2024: company was able to move schedule around and have technician Ethan come out first thing in the morning. Ethan fixed the leak within minutes and didn’t charge me extra. I’ve uploaded another photo of where the main leak was coming from (replaced the solenoid).

Never heard back from the company after calling about an installation estimate. After on hold for 5 minutes listening to a stupid Queen remake over and over again, I was told I would be contacted by a supervisor but never got a call or email.
