I appreciated working with a local, family owned business. The right balance of professionalism and informality that allowed the team to build trust and a rapport. They were transparent with what the problem was, listened to our needs and gave us several options to consider. I didn't feel over sold or scammed or under any high pressure sales techniques.

I had to replace my whole unit a few months ago. They gave me three options of units and had it installed in the same week. There was a problem with the electric but it's an old house. The repair guy and the owner came over on a Saturday morning to get it fixed. Very pleased with the service and the price. I'd use them again in a heartbeat. They also offer financing, which is a lifesaver.

Excellent service, from the installers, to the call center. Very helpful and willing to work with you to find the best solution. I called this company to check my ac that was just blowing room air. They sent an elderly guy who wasn't friendly at all. I didn't care about his attitude much but when he lied to me, I got concerned and decided to write this review so others can be aware when they contract this company. He found out that my capacitor was out and he told me that he was going to get it himself from a store in Allen for $200. I asked him if it can be bought from Home Depot and he said that it is only sold at a particular store to licensed individuals. He further told me that it is very dangerous to install it when you're not skilled as "you can burn the whole house" (Didn't believe him). I was skeptical at what he was saying and I looked it up. I found out that it is not only sold at Home Depot but it only costs $8.60! When he came back from the store, he declined to give us the receipt for the part. I called their office and they said that they don't give out receipts for the parts and they don't even breakdown the cost on their receipt as they are(according to their receptionist) "out to make money". I'd never hire this company again and I'd advice that anybody looking to hire an honest and reputable company should stay away from them.In my opinion, they're just out to con people by exaggerating the prices of parts. If they were honest, they'd simply give out receipts or at list list the prices of parts on their receipts like other companies.

These guys are awesome. They carved out a way to see me on the same day I called, showed up when promised, fixed the issue in a half hour, were super reasonable on prices, and very informative with my 200 questions. Will definitely use them again!

Kerry and his team did a great job on the install day. Even though it was a super rainy day, they didn’t track any mud in the house and were very respectful throughout the process. Their prices were the best we were able to find and they were great from beginning to end. Would definitely recommend them to others.

Christi & Matt with Mathis Air are absolutely amazing!
Our upstairs HVAC unit started blowing hot air and I was panicked! I called Mathis and they were able to squeeze us in same day!
Matt came out and was able to diagnose the problem quickly and went to get the part for us. He was able to get it running of the evening and came back the next day with the compressor size we needed and fix the problem.
He was quick and efficent and I am so grateful for him!
Christi at the office is abosolutely the best and was so helpful and kind.
We will be using them again if ever needed in the future!

Christie was a pleasure to work with!!! I called her last after my mom was getting ridiculous quotes to get a rough estimate and she beat everyone price. And Christie was delighted to assist and went the extra mile to offer options. Kerry was wonderful to work with as well! After two weeks of thoughtful consideration, I’ve decided to write my very first 1-star review. My hope is that those of you reading this can learn from my experience.

When my AC stopped working on 4/12/18 I searched around and selected Mathis Air based on the 5-star reviews I found. I gave them a call and was thrilled when they were able to get a technician to my house a few hours later to thoroughly inspected my AC system. They politely explained to me that in addition to a Freon leak, my condenser and evaporator coil were bad and needed to be replaced. I wasn’t surprised given the age of the unit and was thankful when they walked me through a variety of energy efficient replacements ranging from $5-$7.5K. I would have scheduled an appointment to get it replaced on the spot however my insurance company required that I get a second opinion.

The second company came out a few days later and I was quite surprised with the result. They replaced an $80 capacitor, put in a new filter, and my system was immediately fixed. The Freon was fully charged and there were no leaks. Despite their advanced age, the condenser and evaporator coil are perfectly fine.

Further, it’s impossible for Mathis to have diagnosed the individual parts of the system without immediately noticing the capacitor was bad. Even if they were able to “jump it” to test the other parts of the system (as they later claimed), they would have found everything in working order. I know this for a fact because the AC works!!

I understand that replacing the aging system would save me a few bucks in electricity every month but that is not the issue here. It cost me a little over $100 to repair my AC system. Had I not gotten a second opinion, I would have spent $5k+ on a new system and probably written a glowing 5-star review. Thankfully I got that second opinion and hopefully saved you a few grand as well.

We highly recommend Mathis Air & Heat !! Great experience from beginning to end. We were looking for a complete replacement and we couldn't be happier. We received a quote from Kerry. He is very helpful and knowledgeable. We received a reasonable price and a great financing option.

We have had a great experience with Mathis Air & Heat. They were well priced, timely, and walked me through all of my options. They never tried to over sell me, but just explained my options. The installers were tidy and they arrived 30 min early. Well done.

As an update, Mathis Air & Heat, is truly committed and responsive to customers. Christi provided free service of fixing drainage clog free of charge , because I gave a referral to my neighbor. Not my companies recognize customers in this way. Go with Mathis.
