Mixed Experience with Fresh Yard Express
**UPDATE**
Owner of the company sent me a message that he would not send me invoices for the services that they messed up if I were take my Google review off. Absolutely not. Consumers should be aware. I have paid my invoice in full just because that’s my character.
Fresh Yard Express, I wish you the best, but unfortunately, your services weren’t the right fit for us. Communication was challenging from the start, but I understand the “owner” was out of town, which might have contributed to the issues. However, this lack of communication caused them to miss out on some great additional landscaping services.
We decided to give Fresh Yard Express a shot for our personal home. I made it very clear before services began that we have a dog, and under no circumstances should he be let out—this was a dealbreaker for us. Our dog is more than family to us. If a maintenance company doesn’t want to take on a property with animals, they have every right to decline, but this must be communicated upfront. Unfortunately, within the first month of service, we encountered two major issues:
1. Our dog got out because the gate was left open. As one tech exited the yard , and another technician was supposed to enter later, but the gate was not secured in between.
2. Just two weeks later, the crew barricaded the back doggie door and left it that way all day until my spouse returned home from work.
(Love our cameras)
To add to the frustration, I sent an email requesting to skip a service after the first incident, but the crew came anyway and billed us.
While I appreciate the efforts made, these incidents are serious safety concerns that we can’t overlook. I hope Fresh Yard Express can improve their communication and attention to detail for future customers. -
I needed a small side yard project done where my grass wouldn’t grow. Fresh Yard Express gave me a quote right away and as soon as I was ready to proceed they put me on the calendar quickly. I needed grass/weeds removed then the area prepped for pea gravel and concrete pavers. They did the whole project in a very timely manner and the end product is great. It met my expectations and I’m happy I had them take on my project. I recommend them for your yard projects.

If you value customer service and responsiveness this company is not for you. Was told I would be emailed a quote. Never received it 48 hours later. This is after the guy sassed me because i asked for the quote same day after he left. They never pick up the phone seem to only respond to text. I am sure they will respond to this review with sass like they do the others. Save yourself time and go tru green or another local spot.

Always takes care of his customers, very responsive to phone calls or text messages. If something wasn’t right or an issue, Gary always made it a priority and did whatever needed to make it right. Great Guy & Co.

If I could rate a negative star I would. Recently had surgery & couldn’t do it myself so had them plant 5 Holly bushes in area where other plants were removed that had died during the freeze. Charge was $1800!! They dug a hole and put the plants down in the hole - no filler dirt, nothing! One of the plants was placed in just clay dirt. After just a few weeks one started to died. The owner, Gary, claimed it was from no water, even though I hand watered daily. One of there own guys came out (Bryan) and said it was installed just in clay & would not survive. They refuse to warranty the bush. Very unprofessional & difficult to get in touch with as well!
