I've used Chimney Star for a few projects now and they are top notch. Mike was able to fix an issue we've dealt with for years since moving into our house where the smoke was coming into the house, despite yearly cleaning. He's also fone great work on some other projects and always a pleasure to work with.

Guys were very nice and direct. Made it clear what was wrong and how to fix it. Work was done quickly and I felt the price was fair. Would hire them again for future chimney work. They cleaned the rust and sealed the flue. See before and after photos.

We had a great experience today with Chimney Star. Abraham explained each step of the process. He took lots of pictures to explain the details of the inspection. He was very respectful of our home. And, our chimney is nice and clean now, and we are all ready for the first fire of the season.

We had a wonderful experience with Abraham today. We are first time home owners who’ve never had a fireplace before and Abraham was very patient walking us through the inspection findings and even the basics of how to use our fireplace. He was very patient with us as we had a lot going on taking care of our baby and also having other contractors in the house at the same time. We really appreciate that and the thorough job he did helping us get our fireplace and chimney in tip top shape so we can feel safe having fires. Abraham was personable, professional , careful, thorough, knowledgeable, informative, respectful, and competent. He showed us what he saw, live and with photos (before and after), explained carefully, answered completely, and in every other respect did a great job. Highly recommend.

Josh called prior to arrival and gave me his ETA. He was very polite, informative and showed areas that needed to be repaired. He explained the process of what was entailed with the work. Explained an email with the estimate would be sent for my approval. He was able to fix the issues with the fireplace and offered suggestions to maintain going forward. Happy it was able to be taken care of today. Josh was fantastic, very pleased with his work. The cost for the work was expensive. I’d rather pay more for good quality of work. Firebox crack repair and seal was $763 and the Storm collar repair was $299 for aligning collar and adding sealant. But it was one less task on my to do list. As long as this work holds up it will be worth the money. Thank you Josh!

Mike provided Excellent chimney repair service from start to finish. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain exactly what needed to be done. Chimney Star delivered one of the best home service experiences ever, on par in price with the other chimney companies I called but on a completely different level in terms of thoroughness, communication, and overall workmanship. From the first call with Regina in the office to the final walkthrough with Josh and Abraham on site, every step felt organized, transparent, and detail-oriented.
Inspection and Diagnosis
The inspection process was the biggest difference compared to the other two companies that came out. While the others did a quick look and jumped straight to a quote, Josh and Abraham took their time walking through the entire gas log system, firebox, and chimney flue, explaining what they were looking at and why it mattered for safety and performance. They used a camera and did a very methodical top-to-bottom evaluation instead of just shining a flashlight and calling it good, which gave a lot more confidence in the diagnosis.
Scope of Work and Materials
The work itself was not small: replacing a leaking gas log system, repairing the firebox, installing a new system, and addressing issues in the chimney flue. They laid out each piece of the job in plain language, itemized everything, and made sure the repair plan actually addressed the root problems instead of just band-aids. The materials they proposed were clearly better quality than what was shown in the other estimates heavier duty components, American made gas log system with lifetime warranty, and parts that matched current safety standards rather than whatever was cheapest.

Price-wise, Chimney Star was right in the same ballpark as the other quotes, which made the choice really simple once the service level was compared side by side. it never felt like a hard sell the estimate matched the inspection findings, there were no surprise add-ons, and the value for what was included easily beat the competitors.

Communication from the office and the field crew deserves special mention. Regina was consistently on top of scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups, and it was easy to reach someone when questions came up. On site, Josh and Abraham showed up when they said they would, respected the home, protected the work area.

Once the job was finished, everything was cleaned up, tested, and walked through to make sure the new gas log system, repaired firebox, and chimney flue were all working safely and correctly. The fireplace now feels like a solid, long-term solution instead of something patched together to get by for one season. After dealing with three different companies, Chimney Star clearly stood out as the one that combines fair pricing with truly superior inspection, materials, and customer service, and they are the company that will be called for any future chimney or gas log maintenance.

Hired the guys and they charged without even cleaning 149$ as per their ad, so unprofessional. Moreover they gave estimate to clean with price of over 7000$. I hired someone who cleaned it for 500$. I honestly say stay away from these peeps.

Never called for scheduled appt.Called , driver had a flat tire be there in 2hrs. 3hrs later , I called back owner said the tech couldn't do it today need need to reschedule for another day. Wasted my day waiting . Canceled service altogether

Both David and John did an excellent job of duct cleaning. It seems to me that David is very experienced and dedicated to his job.

Used these folk for air duct cleaning in my house in Austin Texas, very happy with the results!

After my previous review I was contacted by Omer. He is the owner of Austin Breeze at this time.

Omer was very concerned about my poor experience and after speaking with him at length I decided to give him the opportunity to make things right.

Omer came to my home on 3/25/24 as discussed. After apologizing once again; he took the time to complete a detailed inspection of my HVAC ducts. He presented me with images and options. I elected to have the system sanitized at this time. Omer completed that service diligently and professionally. I also asked him to provide me a quote on replacing my attic insulation. I received that quote promptly from him by the end of the day.

Omer is trying hard to build a good business and I respect his efforts tremendously. Because he was responsive, empathetic, and willing to go the extra mile I’m changing my review from a 1-Star to a 3-Star.

I will give Omer and his team more opportunities in the future.

Called and scheduled an appointment. I was told it would cost $149. I asked if there would be additional fees.

Trip charge
Mold or Mildew service
Etc.

I was told no additional fees. However. they could not give me an estimate if there was a mold or mildew treatment needed for that ADD ON service.

Technician arrived and inspected unit. Prior to beginning work he reviewed findings with me.

ALL GOOD SO FAR.

He informed me…

Basic cleaning $400
Mold / Mildew $450
UV light $300

I explained basic cleaning was quoted at $149. He repeatedly stated NO and that the person booking appointment was wrong. He called his manager and his manager DID NOT want to deal with the issue; so, he stated to office person. Would call us back.

Office person never called! So, I called their office 3-times. After 3rd call they called back saying they saw a missed call. Office person on speaker stated it was supposed to be $149.

Technician said, NO! That it would be the $400+$450+$300 (optional UV) I listed above.

Then both office person and technician tried to tell me I must have misunderstood.

That my friends is the old BAIT & SWITCH.

I would’ve gladly paid $149+a couple hundred for the upsell to get mildew treatment.

But, their dishonesty got them a LOST sale. I will never recommend any company that is not 100% transparent and upfront with their pricing.

This company is NOT TRUSTWORTHY!
