Constraction reviews in Plano, Texas

We purchased our first TX home late last year and immediately began our search for a general contractor. We made several calls but George from WCG was the first to give me a call back, and the rest is history! I was so happy early on with his demeanor, professionalism, and his availability (he's also super text-msg literate, which was really important for me as someone who sits in meetings all day).

More than the actual quality of the work (which of course was phenomenal, and the other reviews can attest to), I most enjoyed the collaborative spirit we shared throughout the home reno journey. He is always happy to offer suggestions and tips, but is just as eager to honor your own preferences and requests.

As for the actual work, we employed WCG to essentially tackle a full reno of our 3,700 sq ft home: new flooring/carpets, complete bathroom makeovers (+ adding a new office bathroom), relocating laundry/dryer to 2nd floor, drywall repair, complete kitchen redesign, and more. In short, with the exception of tearing down the drywall, George and his crew replaced/repaired everything else. Even a month or so after the completion of our renovation, George still calls/texts to check in to see if we need anything.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves but my wife and I enjoyed working with George so much that we entrusted my mother-in-law's reno needs to his services as well. Thanks George!

West Construction Group has worked on our house a few times. The first time was after the hail storms in Wylie. They worked with our insurance and made sure all the repairs were done in a timely manner. We were so pleased with them we hired them to remodel our laundry room and other projects. both George and Jasen are great to work with. We are very pleased and will keep them in mind for future projects.

George and his company saved our marriage! My husband and I got engaged December of 2020. We were happy, blissful, and unaware. Then snowmageddon happened February 2021. Our 1984 home had significant water damage and we were in over our heads. This is where George and West Construction Group came into the picture. George took on our project like we were family. He was there for us in a point of our lives that was meant to be joyous and stress free. The whole renovation process took close to 7 months- that timeframe included our wedding and 3 different short term rental moves. With all the chaos, George was our go to man. He dealt with the insurance company, gave us a wealth of knowledge, and was even our therapist at times! Without a doubt, do yourself a favor and use this company. They aren’t the cheapest around, but you get what you pay for. George is reliable, professional, and worth every penny!

After being a victim of the winter storm in 2021, I called so many contractors and the ones that would answer the phone were at full capacity. The same happened when I called West Construction, but this time George asked me to tell him a little bit about our story. We had been building a new home and were just about to put our current home on the market a week after the winter storm. We were up against the clock due to the current market situation and we were worried the builder could drop us if we didn’t get our house sold in time. This gave us about 1 month to complete mitigation, repair all the damages, and clean up to go to market. After explaining our aggressive timeline George was very honest; he didn’t make any promises but he wanted to help and agreed to take us on even though he was at capacity. Through the process he checked in on us regularly and his team got the job done! If there was something he couldn’t get to he would tell us so that we had time to outsource that particular trade, ie.. paint. We appreciate him doing this because it allowed us to stay on time and move into our new house. The work was done well and potential buyers recognized that. The house sold day 1 of open house. Highly recommend, George knows what he is doing and certainly knows how to multitask!

We were very pleased with our roof installation with West Construction Group. George came out right away and answered all our questions and assured us the roof would be completed in the time designated. The workers were all professional and did a excellent job. We have recommended George for roof repairs and installation to family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I highly recommend! They have done several paint jobs for me at my home, including a recent job painting my master bathroom. It looks amazing! The quality of the work is excellent! I've also had them replace my roof (twice...hail storm destroyed the previous roof only 4 months after it was replaced) & they did an awesome job both times. They cleaned up & even checked for roofing nails around my yard before they left so no one in my family, including my dog, wouldn't find one with our feet. They were very professional & super easy to work with. Again, I highly recommend them!

West Construction blew me away with how professional and communicative they were. WOW!

George and team from the start were wonderful to work with. They knew how to work in a professional manner within the confines of HOAs and Insurance companies and made me feel so thankful that they took on my restoration project.

The team at West were always sharing photos of the work being done, communicating with me in a clear and concise manner (and they are bilingual which is a huge plus in the industry), and always made me feel safe that my home (and the project!) would be done and done right.

They are also experts in the field, and gave white-glove service wherever possible. Their attention to detail and knowledge of the project and how to best fix my condo (after a flood) was top notch.

They are just lovely, ethical people who do great work. 5 stars for sure.

Thank you George, Neal, and team!

George and his team were excellent. Lots of roofers wanted to replace my hail damaged roof but George cared about my entire property. George is very knowledgeable about insurance and was able to identify all the hail damage to my property and ensure the best claim settlement. The additional time and diligence this took was at his expense. It would have been easier for him to focus on my roof, replace and move on. Because of his full service construction capability and diligence my entire property was restored to prestorm condition. His crews were punctual and cleaned up their debris and their workmanship was top notch.

Our home underwent a significant repair and update under George’s tutelage.

A slow, silent leak from our dishwasher combined with contiguous, solid oak wood flooring throughout the house, and custom kitchen cabinetry meant this was not going to be a quick and easy fix. It also meant we needed to hire a contractor familiar with the insurance claim process, because we certainly weren’t.

I found George through an online search and if you’re reading this review, you already know his reviews are plentiful, and pretty amazing. I called and reached him right away. Immediately he struck me as very friendly and knowledgeable, and offered helpful advice without even yet being hired.

Overall, our project took close to a year, claim to finish, and included about 5 months where we lived in a rental. It also grew from a water loss repair to include a complete remodel of 2 bathrooms, and custom storage in 2 bedrooms.

First, when it comes to insurance claims, George knows his stuff. He ensured we were made completely whole and our insurance company didn’t cut corners.

What I really found invaluable was how responsive George was. Look, a project like ours, with so many moving parts and personalities, there’s gonna be hiccups. Any and every time we needed George, he responded right away ready to listen and/or problem-solve.

And finally, I am so happy with the work completed on our home. George offered great ideas, but what I found really meaningful was that he listened to our weird, crazy ideas and did what it took to get us what we wanted. He really got to know us, understand and implement what we were going for.

The crews he had working on our home were also attentive, skillful, considerate and professional. If your project requires Sergio, Jesus, Julio, Sam, Juan, Sixto, Christian, Andres… I can assure you, you’ll be in good hands.

We send our immense thanks to George and his crews, and would absolutely use him again.

John and the entire team were excellent! Constant communication throughout the entire process and they take pride in their work. Highly recommend!

I called the team after a large piece of my fire wall fell from the roof in my attic through my kitchen ceiling due to builders not installing them up to code. They came out to evaluate the situation the same day as it was a safety issue. While they were not able to fix it immediately they squeezed me in that same week. The team fixed the broken part of the firewall & secured the rest of the firewall & installed extra plywood on the rafters to ease my mind. The team did a phenomenal job fixing the hole in my ceiling, it looks as though there never was a hole. I am beyond impressed! They repainted the ceiling & did a better job than the painters that painted originally. The owner is kind & has done an exceptional job of hiring/recruiting talented professionals onto his team. Thank you very much. I highly recommend

West Construction is superb. George and his team are a pleasure to work with. They are real pros and very customer focused. They were professional and responsive from the outset, and the work and materials to replace our roof, gutters and downspouts (as well as care for the property and cleanup afterwards) were excellent. I continue to contact George and use West for other projects and repairs unrelated to the roof installation, and their responsiveness is as solid as it was at the beginning. I highly recommend this company.

West Construction group was recommended to us by the plumber that fixed our burst pipe in February. We are first time home owners and had no idea how all this works. Let me tell start by saying George (the owner) took the time up front, before we were even a customer, to explain the entire process and answer every little question I had. I'm the kind of person that asks a ton of questions. That alone spoke volumes to me about how he runs his company as a GC. Considering almost everyone in Texas needed home repairs at the time, George was kind and very responsive. He got us on the mitigation and pack out schedule quickly even though we clearly weren't the biggest money making job at the time. He personally came by with a mitigation company to point out potential damage areas and explain how the mitigation would occur. He had a flooring company send someone to our house three times while we were being super picky about picking new floors so that we could review samples. I mean every little detail, George was there for us and completely reachable. He even threw in painting a few extra things to match the rest of the walls getting repainted and tiled a small bathroom instead of replacing the laminate inside. He didn't have to go the extra mile for little things we wanted but he always did! The new floors, baseboards, and paint throughout our entire downstairs is quality work and really updated our house. For us, going through these big unexpected fixes on the house and moving out with a toddler were major changes for our family. But George was an absolute joy to work with and have on our side. I would absolutely recommend West Construction to anyone and will easily call George for any repairs needed in the future.

West Construction renovated my kitchen after water damage and I could not possibly be more pleased! The work is just awesome! George and all the guys took such great care to give me a beautiful kitchen just like I wanted, but even better! They did little things I would have never thought of that made it that much more special. They were professional, did quality work, kept me notified of progress, made great suggestions and they were just nice guys to work with. My kitchen is so much more than I thought it could be...it has just been transformed! And such quality workmanship! I am so proud and I have George and all the guys that worked on my home from West Construction LLC to thank! They couldn't be more highly recommended from this customer! Thanks to all of you!

West Construction is really the best company to work with on getting roofs completed. They know the laws, processes and are truly professional. George has the best crew working to ensure to have a superior roof and will help you with your insurance claim every step of the way. From the moment they stepped on our property till completion they were dedicated, hard working and provided great customer service. I recommend George to anyone. He is true to his word and so loyal to ensuring his customers are well taken care of! Truly he is the best out there!

We have worked with George for the last 3 years, starting with a pipe burst that flooded our ground floor during the winter freeze to now getting our roof repaired from hail damage. He is very knowledgeable, explains what he plans to do in detail and helps you understand where the money is being spent on. We have trusted him with a variety of house repair and he has never disappointed. High quality work and he is great with his clients!

West Construction Group was recommended to me by my insurance company and I have been impressed from day 1.  George was always available to answer any questions and he helped guide me thru the entire process.  My new shower looks amazing and the Sheetrock/paint work completed in other parts of my home was perfect.

I own a carpet cleaning company and what impressed me most was the carpet job!  Top notch professional work.

I have already hired them for another project.    These guys set the standard for remodeling work.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Being new to Texas, we were nervous about finding a good general contractor. I cannot recommend George and his team enough!! When I first called George, he was very thorough and professional, which was helpful as a newbie with an experience involving this much work. His team goes above beyond with great craftsmanship, communication, and professionalism. George and his team were very punctual and easy to work with. You cannot go wrong with West Construction Group! Thank you George & team!!

I reached out to George to get an estimate on new floors and repairs to my garage as well as some exterior painting of my patio. George immediately stood out among other contractors that I had talked to for his candor and kindness. I knew right away that he was someone who I could trust for this major project. I can’t say enough great things about George and his crew. He was extremely responsive to every question that I had, he exhibited great empathy for the stress I was under with such a major home renovation, and the work was done on time and on budget - and now my home looks great! The whole crew at West Construction Group were kind, professional, and did high quality work. The floors are beautiful and I have such gratitude for George and his crew for making such a major renovation an easy and pleasant experience! I highly recommend West Construction Group!!

I've contracted with Jasen on two separate jobs now, my personal house, as well as one of my rental houses, and I must say his work has been top notch on both projects, and he is great to deal with. He really knows his stuff and has great crews that do the work the right way the 1st time! I would def recommend to anyone in/around North Texas!

We recently had the unfortunate experience of water damage in our home due to a burst pipe. Thankfully, George, our general contractor, came to the rescue. George and his crew were incredibly knowledgeable and handled everything with utmost professionalism. They did a fantastic job, and our house is now looking better than before. The attention to detail was remarkable, and we feel very lucky to have been referred to George by a friend and neighbor.

I highly recommend George and his team for any water damage repairs or insurance claims. Don’t hesitate to reach out to George if you need reliable and high-quality work. You won’t be disappointed!
