This is absolutely the best contractor in the Plano area. Nick was professional, helpful, followed instructions exactly, did outstanding work, always available when needed, on site everyday and worked with subcontractors to assure job done exactly right. Nick only accepts one project at a time, so oversees meticulously and does outstanding work. My job was turning a garage into a mother-in-law suite. It is the most amazing transformation I have ever seen or heard of. I will use Nick for any other projects and would recommend him to everyone I know. In a 5 star rating system, I would give him 6 stars. You cannot hire a better company for your job.

Nick was prompt from the first meeting till finishing the project. You can depend on this word of what is planning each day of the remodel. I converted a 100sf balcony that was on the second floor in mid-September. Nick was the only company that was worried on the structural supports. We had an engineer assess the support and Nick built a new column to support the addition. We had to work through Plano city permits which took a couple of week once Nick had torn out the old wood and walls preparing for the new wiring, rebuilding the floor in great detail. He constantly asked for my approval and went to make sure I was completely satisfied as the work progressed, He was very experienced in working with subcontractors like electrical, HAVC, windows. He use top grade materials throughout the project. Insulation, wiring to the existing system and bringing the house up to current Plano specifications. Nick did a great job of planning and detail to being exact in measurements. The custom cabinetry was perfect as we had to adjust since this was a very custom job by Nick. His helpers were very clean too and picked up after each day's work. I would highly recommend Nick for your project as I did.

I had kitchen, master bath, two other bathrooms and flooring in 4 bedrooms redone. This company has been wonderful from the quote to the end of construction. Their work has been excellent and if there was something I didn’t think was right, it was corrected immediately with no questioning. The pricing was more than fair and what was quoted was what I was charged. I feel so blessed to have found GP Homes and Repair-excellent work, extreme integrity and caring from all of the various contractors, to Sagie (my project manager who was there every single day at least once a day, sometimes more) to Nick who is the owner. This company should definitely be your first choice if you want to be happy and satisfied with your project. I will be more than happy to show anyone who would like before and after photos.

I had exterior wall repair with them. They are great and very professional. Danielle was excellent with a whole explanation of the issue, what to expected, what could be a possible issues. I got 3 different quotes from 3 different companies. The. Fee setting is average, I guess. The contractors came on time and finished the repairs like I was told. My experience with them was fantastic and I would highly recommend to my friends and family.

I’m very impressed with GP Homes and Repairs. Very professional. Nick was always on top of everything during the construction phase of my project. He made helpful suggestions and recommendations that made the finished project beautiful and functional. For me though the best thing is that after everything was finished Nick and team is still on top of things. I had a couple of things that needed attention and no matter how minor the response was the same as during the project. Very rare these days that after the final payment is made that someone is still available to back up their work. I highly recommend GP Home and Repairs.

I hired this company to re-do our main bathroom to make it accessible for my disabilities. it was a complete tear down renovation. the contractor, Nick, was the upmost professional and kind. we’ve had very negative experiences in the past, which i think many have had, and learned this was different. though every renovation comes with their bumps, he was dependable, responsive, and as the project progressed proved his trustworthiness—things we look for when trying to find someone to care for our homes the way we do and not easy to find. after a year the bathroom works perfectly and after reaching out to ask about a cosmetic issue that occurred after the bathroom was finished, he immediately came by the house that very day and helped us get it resolved. I will continue using this company and highly recommend to others!

GP Homes and Repairs did an amazing job transforming our bathroom from a tub to a beautiful stand-up shower. They started with a 3D design, keeping us informed every step of the way. Their team handled everything—from installing cabinets and hanging mirrors to placing accessories and even adjusting the layout to fit our needs. The entire process was smooth, completed on time, and exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend GP Homes and Repairs for their outstanding work!

I had an amazing experience working with this general contractor. From start to finish, they were reliable, professional, and truly committed to delivering high-quality work. Communication was excellent throughout the entire project, and they made sure I was informed and comfortable with every step. The work was completed on time, within budget, and the results exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and skilled contractor.

Nick is the most responsive and professional and honest contractor, he fixed our drywall for us, he fixed the leak of our water faucet. I will definitely hire him again when I need any work done on anything on my house. I feel good recommending him to my best friends and family members for home repair.

Very courteous, honest, and professional. The main contractor Nick came to fix some damage to an internal wall. He responded immediately on the same day we first called to assess the damage and give a very reasonable quote for repairs. The work order was handled promptly, and all work was finished quickly with high quality. Nick also took time to look at another issue in our home and fix it right away. Would definitely recommend GP Homes and Repairs to anyone needing a contractor.

We would like to give a huge thanks to Nick who immediately came and attended our problem in taking the dishwasher out which was not on level with the hardwood floor. His knowledge and expertise played a major role in finding a quick solution which was pending and mind boggling for a while. He is very meticulous and detailed in his work. Highly recommend this company and looking forward to work with Nick for our future projects!

We had some repairs on storm damage and flooring done and all staff were great to work with from start to finish. Don’t hesitate to call and get an estimate for your next job. They are reasonably priced.👍

I contacted a number of contractors to have some extensive termite damage repaired. Nick from GP Homes and Repairs was the first to reach out and also the first to visit. In fact, many general contractors never contacted me back, so I appreciate Nick taking on this job.
He was very accommodating of my many requests and took efforts to understand the details that I desired. Everyone was polite and professional.
Pricing appeared to be reasonable considering the extent of the termite damage. The provided materials appeared to be of good quality.
Pressure treated wood was used so as to be more resistant to future termite damage. The paints had good color matching and were good quality. The finish work overall looked decent.

I did have a number of issues:

    - When I first asked him if he has his work permitted with the City, he said "yes." Towards the end, I realized there were no permits opened on my house. I called the Building Inspections department and was told that the work being done required a permit. I called Nick and he suggested that it's my responsibility to request the contractor to pull a permit, and not the responsibility of the contractor themself to automatically obtain a permit. He indicated that my request for permitting would be an additional $1500. Before work began, Nick never asked me if I wanted a permit. I thought that he would already, (A), know when a permit is required or not required, and (B), be obtaining necessary permits for all work. I would like to see Nick automatically working with the Building Inspections department regarding permitting.
    - Paper floor covering was laid sparsely and did not cover the entire work area. There were a number of scratches left on the floor afterwards, to which Nick offered only a $50 discount. I would like to see the entire work area, entry, and all pathways covered before work begins.
    - Covering over furniture was not securely taped, so dust easily blew under. I would like to see more emphasis on dust control, like having coverings tightly taped over furniture and floor-to-ceiling containment.
    - Despite the ongoing pandemic, nobody wore any face covering in the home.
    - Subcontractors were unfamiliar with proper insulation practices. This was the case for the fiberglass originally provided but also with the mineral wool that I later on requested and supplied. I would like to see more focus on proper insulation and air sealing details.
    - Subcontractors were unfamiliar with electrical. I would like to see the necessary electrical subcontractors provided to handle electrical.
    - One of the wires were severed during the repair, and Nick proposed repairing it by installing a junction box that he would bury inside the wall without an exposed cover plate. He installed the box exposed per my request, however, I'm concerned that he considered that burying the junction box was acceptable.
    - Nick warned me that my crown molding could not be perfectly matched, which I understood. However, the subcontractor hauled off one of the removed pieces as trash and Nick informed me that the piece was damaged upon removal and could not be saved. The pieces did not appear un-salvageable, so I'm disappointed the pieces were not retained, as there is no match available.
    - The caulking he used started cracking and separating only a few days after work completed.
    - There was a lack of communication regarding the invoice details. As my job involved termite damage, there was often additions being made to the work order. Nick did not provide any updated invoices until the last day of the job.

I'm grateful that Nick frequently asked about my satisfaction with the work throughout. I felt it difficult to express some of my concerns (such as the ones I described above), but overall, I think the experience was acceptable and the work was decent. I hope that my feedback in this review will be helpful to Nick and his team at GP Homes and Repairs.

We needed a whole room redesigned. We turned the closet into an office space and the remaining portion is now the dining room. Nick and his crew were wonderful. Keep the mess to a minimum. He came out everyday to make sure the work was done correctly. The project was finished on time. He was not the cheapest bid. Very worth it. We are so happy with the work. It turned out better than we expected. He made suggestions which were appreciated. I can't say enough about how professional and amazing the finished room is. So happy we choose GP Homes And Repair.

Nick and Danielle were great to work with. Upfront about cost and we worked out what was possible within our budget. The actual work done on the kitchen was removing a support wall to open the kitchen up to the living room There was electrical, plumbing, tile work, painting, cabinets, countertops, you name it. And we knocked it all out in stages. I must call out a contractor named Edgar who did outstanding work on several of the projects.

If you're reading this and still trying to decide on a contractor, I implore you to hire GP Homes.

I have spent several hours trying to compose a review commensurate with the level of work that was provided. I cannot overstate the attention to detail, professionalism, and expertise that everyone brought to the project.

They found and repaired several items during the renovation process. The level attention to detail extended to how they cleanly they organized the electrical and plumbing. I was very impressed, and so was the inspector!

I had to remodel my only bathroom in my condo. I got several bids and GP Homes was the only one who seemed excited to start. I am aware that not too many contractors want to take on the small projects, but Nick (the GC) made me feel valued and that my project was just as important as a new-build.

I must admit that I was suspicious as the reputation of contractors is about on par with lawyers and used car salesmen. You always read horror shows where the contractor comes in, you pay them, they rip everything put, and then disappear. One only needs to watch several home improvement shows, read NextDoor, or watch the news.

I have to say that my suspicions were ill-founded. Nick was highly responsive to my calls or texts no matter what time of day I called. I never felt like I was "just another customer".

I am a very hands-on person and I like to be involved in every aspect of the project. Everyday, Nick would review what the subcontractors did and what they had planned for the next day. As a project manager for a major airline, I much appreciated this. I know how projects can get off track and the level of communication was fantastic.

Nick is an honest and trustworthy individual that I would not hesitate to do business with in the future.

I understand that my incessant questions, and my insistence of how I wanted things to work or look couldn't have been easy. However, Nick was very patient with me and if an idea wasn't feasible he would tell me. I valued his opinions, as this was my first remodel. I changed my mind on several things based on his expertise.

His subcontractors were very professional, respectful, and hard-working. They even cleaned up at the end of the workday, everyday. In most cases they left my condo cleaner than I did!

Please consider hiring GP Homes. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I am beyond thrilled with how everything turned out.

A big “thank you” to GP Homes for the amazing work transforming our gallery kitchen into a more updated and functional space. Our project included knocking out a wall to add a peninsula, gutting the kitchen for all new cabinets and appliances, and an updated electrical panel. We couldn’t be more pleased with the result! From the start of the project, Nick was very forthright, professional and extremely helpful navigating us through design options and expectations. He used software to generate a rendering of our space that really allowed us to visualize changes, materials, etc. His crew was courteous and hard working, and at the end of the day, we’d often find Nick helping to clean up and ensure the project stayed on schedule. We are so incredibly appreciative for GP Homes (and to our friend’s for their referral). We are loving our new space!!

I take tremendous pleasure in writing this review. You hear horror stories about contractor remodeling jobs gone wrong. Well, this is the exact opposite! Everything went right. Everything! Nick came out, talked to us, took measurements and gave us an approximate price. A few days later we had a very reasonable quote via email. The work started on time and was completed on time. Communication was great (thanks Danielle). And the work was flawless. The project was taking out a wood burning fireplace and putting in an electric one. Along with a new mantel and stacked ledger stone. The end result exceeded our expectations. And the crew he had was very careful, meticulous in their work and super polite. We will need a few more projects and we will absolutely be using GP Homes. Take a look at the pics and then give GP Homes a call. You will be so glad you did !!!

G P Home Improvement did an amazing job on my bathroom remodel. Converted to a walk in shower and it is beautiful. Everyone was very respectful and friendly. Really appreciate all the work Carlos and Edger did. I love Nick and highly recommend Using Nicks Company.
