General Contractor reviews in Plano, Texas

We recently had a major kitchen remodel completed by this team in June 2024. Overall, my husband and I were satisfied with the renovation, despite experiencing some scheduling delays and a few mishaps with materials. The quality of the work was commendable, and we appreciated the one-year warranty on the workmanship that the company provided.
However, our experience took a disappointing turn when we began reaching out to the company in January to address some minor issues covered under the warranty. To our surprise, we were informed that there was an outstanding balance on our account, which had never been mentioned before. This was particularly frustrating as we had already received our certificate of completion and paid all amounts due at the time of the project.
It feels like a bait-and-switch regarding the warranty, as we were left in the dark about any outstanding issues until we sought their assistance. We expected better communication and support from the company, especially after investing in a significant renovation.
While we initially felt positive about the remodel, this experience has left us feeling disappointed and frustrated. I hope the company can address these concerns and improve their customer service moving forward. -
This construction company blew us away with their speed and precision. The team worked tirelessly, wrapping up our project well ahead of schedule. You can really see the quality in their craftsmanship, and we couldn't be happier with how professionally everything was handled. Highly recommend their efficient building services.

Construction Nation Group really transformed my home with their outstanding construction services. From beginning to end, their team showed expertise and a commitment to quality. They took the time to listen to my ideas and provided valuable suggestions that really improved the final result. The project was finished on time and stayed within budget. I can't recommend them enough for any construction needs

This construction company truly impressed us! They handled our recent commercial build-out, and the entire process was seamless from start to finish. Their team was incredibly organized, efficient, and highly skilled, delivering a top-quality space that perfectly met our business needs. They stayed on schedule and within budget, with excellent communication throughout. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend them for any construction project

I was amazing work with this people they did a great job and also the communication with theme all the time was clear they understood what I want in my kitchen thank you

This is a bad choice for remodel. They took 4 months to remodel my bathroom -- many of those days no one came to work at all. Four project managers "left" during the project. But the worst thing was they did not seal the plumbing connection under the slab -- where the old bathtub had been -- and hot water ran constantly under the slab until the floor got so hot we could feel the heat. That cost us another 5000 dollars, and now they won't respond to us.

Earlier this year I completed a full home renovation for my rental property with Construction Nation Group, formerly known as Contempo Construction. I had a great experience with the team, in particular Jonas De Cardenas (the owner of Construction Nation) was really great to work with. In addition, his team members, John Young (on-site construction project manager), Jeffery Clark (on-site project supervisor), Carla Rojas (office project coordinator), and Majo Roman (in office parts change coordinator) all were very professional in their communication. The project took about 1 year to finish and it was on budget as quoted, even though we had a few unexpected hiccups along the way. (By that I mean our 100 year old house had more issues than we were able to anticipate.) They helped set expectations and explained how and why things were done, answering my numerous questions along the way. I would gladly work with the team again.

We hired Construction Nation to build an addition onto our property, and we couldn't be happier with the result. The quality of the construction is excellent, the team was professional and punctual, and the project was finished on schedule. The new space looks amazing. Highly recommended for any big construction projects!

Avoid this business at all costs. This is one of the most dishonest and misleading operations I’ve ever encountered.
Jamie and his team appear to go out of their way to avoid accountability, including actively dodging being served by process servers. On top of that, the business name has reportedly been changed multiple times, which raises serious concerns about an attempt to escape negative reviews and unresolved debts.
None of the information listed online can be trusted. The addresses associated with this business are inaccurate or outright fake, making it nearly impossible to track them down or resolve any issues.
This is not just a bad experience—it’s a complete lack of transparency and credibility. Proceed at your own risk.
EDIT: Jamie the owner knows exactly the clients he has screwed over. The answer is simple, post a legitimate address for the process servers to serve you, and tell me in court that I am fake?
Amigo Landscaping then Amigo Construction, and now Probuild Construction. New name, same crappy owners running from his obligations.
EDIT 2: Requesting a valid business address for service of process is a lawful and reasonable action. Characterizing such a request as “manipulation” is inaccurate. The use of an invalid or non-business address across your platforms raises serious concerns.
Service of process has been initiated, and appropriate legal channels are being pursued. The matter will be addressed through formal proceedings, where the legitimacy of your business practices and representations will be evaluated. The outcome will be documented and made publicly available. -
I first hired Jaime in December 2024 for our first project, and we just wrapped our most recent one two weeks ago. We’ve now used his team three separate times for our backyard.
After a bad experience with a previous contractor, I was hesitant to trust anyone, but Jaime completely changed that. He’s a good communicator and providing me with a schedule, and always keeps me updated if anything shifts due to weather or other factors.
Our backyard is a tough project because of the steep slope, but they designed something truly beautiful. He’s built a sunken fire pit area, a sunken patio, retaining walls, a paver patio, a raised planter bed, and done a lot of concrete work.
I’ve attached a few photos of our backyard. It could use a little pressure washing because of my big dogs, but I wanted to give a real look at the kind of work he’s done for us.
We’re about to start a basketball court with him for what will likely be our final phase.
I trust him and recommend him to everyone in the Keller/Southlake area. -
I had a really disappointing experience with this landscaping company and would not recommend them. What started off as great communication quickly went downhill after they secured my business. In the beginning, they were responsive, attentive, and seemed genuinely interested in helping—but that completely changed once the work began.
First, they were consistently late. Not just a few minutes here and there, but showing up hours behind schedule or sometimes not at all without notice. It made planning around their visits incredibly frustrating.
Worse, the quality of their work was terrible.
When I tried to address these issues, my concerns were brushed off. They didn’t take responsibility, didn’t offer meaningful solutions, and acted like I was overreacting. For the amount they charge—which is definitely on the expensive side—I expected a lot more professionalism and care.
Overall, this company seems more focused on getting new customers than actually delivering quality service. Once they have your money, don’t expect the same level of communication or accountability. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration and look elsewhere. -
Shady business practices. I felt singled out and taken advantage of as an older customer. The way I was treated raised serious concerns about fairness, transparency, and integrity. Instead of clear communication, there was a sense of pressure and manipulation that left me uncomfortable and distrustful. I would strongly urge others—especially seniors—to be cautious and ask plenty of questions before doing business here.

I’m very happy with the work from ProBuild Construction. They installed artificial turf and built a flowerbed. Jaime designed my backyard, and everything turned out great. The team had excellent communication, were always punctual, and very friendly. We’re already planning to continue working with them in the future on an outdoor kitchen and a pergola. I highly recommend their services.

I had a great experience with Probuild Construction. They did an amazing job on my fence. It looks clean, sturdy, and professionally finished. The quality of the workmanship really stands out, and the attention to detail made a big difference. The team was reliable, efficient, and easy to work with. I’m very happy with the results and would definitely recommend them!
