I own a CB Jeni townhome in Heritage Creekside in Plano. I bought a spec home in October 2018 with them and the house had some decent upgrades that came with it. The sales agent was amazing (Benjamin Russel) and he threw in blinds, refrigerator, washer and dryer on top of the promotion they had going on at that time. The builders were great and their first year warranty response was great too. Before the year was up, I had them fix some minor issues and repaint stuff and they did all that.

The Frigidaire appliances they installed aren't too great though and I had to get my microwave fixed. I also had to get a handyman to fix my pull out trashcan cabinet fixed despite having them fix it during the warranty period. Their service was fine but their quality was average.

I am currently under contract for another CB Jeni home and while the layout of the house is beautiful and the community great (super excited to move), the sales agent is not very good. I will edit my review with details on the current experience once I close on the house because I'd rather not create complications with my purchase. The builder is decent though and pretty responsive. They recently transitioned from designer sessions to CB Jeni X and there are some pros and cons to both now.

Avoid CB Jeni at All Costs!!!

Our experience with CB Jeni was an absolute nightmare. From the very beginning, the staff displayed an appalling lack of professionalism and basic human decency. Their rudeness was consistent and deeply unsettling. The sales rep Clayton is so bad at his job!

More alarmingly, we encountered blatant racism throughout the entire process. Dismissive comments, condescending attitudes, and a general feeling of being unwelcome were constant. It's clear that CB Jeni does not value diversity or treat all customers with respect.

The quality of their construction was also subpar, with numerous issues discovered after move-in. Their customer service in addressing these problems was equally abysmal, further highlighting their disregard for their clients. If you mention an issue to them that should be fixed before move-in, they will THREATEN TO CANCEL your contract!

We strongly advise anyone considering buying from CB Jeni to look elsewhere. You deserve to be treated with respect and to work with a builder who values its customers and delivers a quality product!

We purchased a new townhouse in Plano at Heritage Creekside in December 2024. After moving in, we encountered multiple issues that needed attention. However, CB JENI Homes, represented by Beaux Keyes, repeatedly dismissed our concerns and failed to provide reasonable solutions. Our key issues include:
    1. Garage Floor Cracks – We reported extensive cracks in our garage floor during the walkthrough, but Beaux Keyes insisted they were “normal” and refused repairs. However, shortly after, the garage floors of the two adjacent townhomes—built on the same foundation—were repaired for the exact same issue. Despite our request for equal treatment, our request was denied. This selective repair policy is unfair and discriminatory.
    2. Hazardous Nail Heads on Carpeted Stairs – Numerous nail heads were protruding along the inner edge of our carpeted stairs. My son suffered a toe injury as a result, and when we reported the issue, Beaux Keyes advised us to walk on the outer edge of the stairs to avoid the nails. This is unacceptable and creates a safety hazard for our family.
    3. Electrical Issues – The GFCI outlet trips every time we plug in our refrigerator. Multiple visits from the electrician failed to resolve the problem, and we were told that we should replace our new refrigerator instead of CB JENI properly addressing the electrical issue.
    4. Ceiling Repair Issue – A few deep, visible repair lines were left on our ceiling. When we requested a proper fix, Beaux told us repair it would “make it worse,” leaving us with an unacceptable cosmetic defect in our new home.
CB JENI Homes' failure to properly address these problems demonstrates a lack of commitment to quality construction and customer service.

I’ve had the same thing happened with my floors. I moved in in 2021 to the townhomes and then in 2022 my whole first floor had to be redone because of tiles cracking. Thankfully, they did cover the replacement of the repair. But then again in 2025 my tile started to crack again.

Great quality home and design. The company is great to work with and is customer driven. Highly recommend considering a CB Jeni Home if you are in the market for what they offer.

I’m beyond frustrated with the tile floors in my home. After just four years, they’re popping off like they were never properly installed in the first place. The tiles are buckling, cracking, and lifting all over—some have completely shattered, and parts of the floor are now downright dangerous to walk on.

It’s clear that CB JENI Homes cut corners here, whether it was cheap materials, poor adhesive, or not prepping the subfloor correctly. This isn’t just one or two tiles; it’s a widespread, structural issue that shouldn’t happen in a home this new. I expected better quality for the price I paid, and instead, I’m left dealing with this mess. If you’re considering buying from CB JENI Homes, I’d think twice—this kind of workmanship is unacceptable.
