Contacted this company July 16th; spoke w/Josh. I texted pictures, like he asked and crickets have not heard back. Keep in mind a lot of times you get customers based on the reviews. You have a businesses it would be nice to get a response. We all get busy that's why I waited till 8.01 to write a review.

There was a guy came to estimate in person and finalized the price. Then I drove all the way to the house needing repair, and then they increased price at spot and provided a tons of reasons. After I pointing out the inconvenience caused by their mistakes, they even stoped replying me.

Beautiful wood work. Took a little time, but worth it. Very good communication on when work would be done and when workers would be there, even down to the minute. Good pricing as well. I recommend them!

Joshua and crew was amazing. Punctual, clean, thorough, skilled. An all around great team. We had a very chaotic and difficult project and the team stood with us and helped us every step of the way. Joshua I appreciate what you did for us!!!!

We hired handyman connection in Plano, Texas for our new move to flower mound Texas from California. We had so much work to do, and incidentally my dad reached out to this company and an angel named Hardy was sent to our home. He did everything we asked and he was expert level with utmost professionalism in his delivery of each and every service and his calm and very professional demeanor in our home. You get scheduled, but they sont tell you that they are not coming that day until they finish another job. Then the tell you that they will text you when they are on their way. Then.they call you after you have been waiting for four hours for them to show up, and tell you they are not coming. Just horrible service. Why would Angi recommend them not that i will ever use Angi again.

I hired Handyman Connection of Plano to install two grab bars in a tile shower tub. Jose showed up on time and was very professional and polite. He assessed the situation and determined what he would need for the job and proceeded to work. He did an excellent job of locating the studs and drilling through the tile to install the grab bars. I am very pleased with a job well done. It is always a pleasure to get home repairs done in a timely and professional manner and I will certainly use this same company again.

Jose of Handyman Connection of Plano did an excellent job of Putting my Vanity light, Towel bar, Mirror, and tissue holder together at such a reasonable price. I will definitely tell my friends and family and will call them again for more projects.

I feel dirty for giving these guys my money. I am normally my own handyman. However I had three new exterior doors and was like, ya know what let's let a professional knock this out and then I'll feel good knowing it was done right and stand the test of time...hoo boy regrets (yes milky way commercial reference).

So they quote me. It's fairly affordable for exterior door installs (note we recently flipped our other house and paid another contractor a similar amount and he did a phenomenal job. Cool I agree and schedule them to come in. Their communication was decent and the track your contractor feature was fine. All good so far.

Day dude shows up I'm slammed working from home. I let him in and get him going and I don't get an opportunity to hover like I usually do...first big mistake. This guy swore up and down he installs doors all the time. Uh huh...where to start. He didn't use the fancy new door hangers, no biggie old school folks don't like em so fine. But uhh where are the shims and nails? Nope he's driving screws into my brand new doors into and through the brand new weather stripping. Ok...like why?

The plates on the edge of the door for my new locks were bigger than the pre cut slots. No big deal for a pro right? Nope he chipped away at the brand new doors and left the plates in the middle of a warzone.

I have a newly new full glass storm door with a dog door on the back door. Guy doesn't ask and starts tearing it off the house and mangling it like it's garbage. SMH... seriously?!? I walk in on this fiasco and stop him after only damaging a couple of pieces....

Doors are in now...but guess what he didn't take off the transport 1x4 off of the bottom of all three doors. Every threshold sags when I step on the front lip now. Front door creaks and groans and can't even close properly so cold winter air pours in the corner of it. The brick moulding....omg the moulding. The garage door he installs brick moulding inside the garage when he literally just took the standard 1x3 indoor moulding off. The back and front door we had an entire conversation about using black caulk because I was painting the door jamb black. So I got a mix of white and black for some reason? Did I mention it looked like a kindergartener did it? White and black caulk everywhere....oh and the brick moulding on the front door...lmao idk how to even describe. Customized awful? No time or reason to it at all. Used extra pieces to try and cover up the mistake on the top and right side jambs but left the left side with the brick moulding and extender different than the other two and a huge 1+ once gap at the top he tried to fill in with caulk...the cement on th front door threshold he's now replaced with another kindergartener quality mass of black caulk instead.

So I document it all and complained. They send out the big guns this time. Dude was just shaking his head the whole time looking at the doors. He ends up pulling all three doors. He prefers to hang them with the new hangers, cool sounds good IDC as long as they are done well. Doors get rehung. Back door is near perfect. Storm door mangled piece is replaced and they credit me for the other first guy cut up to force the storm door to fit his botched install. He fills in the horrible chipped out plate slots with wood filler (I didn't want to deal with the hassle and wait on new doors again even though I should've made them replace the doors). Garage entry door...meh it sticks really bad and you have to pull so hard my family complains still months later and I need to work on it now. But otherwise whatever it works and is in mostly right. Fills in with wood filler. Front door...smh still doesn't sit right and the bottom left corner leaks some outdoor air. It swings in on its own and accelerates and gives the wall a nice whack if we don't catch it. The brick moulding on the back and front doors is done well enough. With white caulk smh.

Neither of them know what cleanup is. I had to dispose of all of their trash, re caulk and lay cement on the front door. Wood filler needs finished too

Great experience. They helped me rectify a double wall oven installation for less than half the price I received from their competitor. Will use them again.

So.... We have used this company for a few years now. We had our lights installed on November 1st. The price has always been reasonable. Today we were notified that we would have to pay $60 more this year. When my wife asked the question this is the response she recieved “ They now charge per light bulb (which we were not told) Also, the owner tells my wife that they will honor the price this time but he will not take the lights down/service us in the future. Unbelievable. Horrible customer service! I suggest doing a little research before hiring this company! If I could this company zero stars I would. Also, our house if pretty small as they only did the front trim and two trees. (Just the trunk on the two trees)

Been a while since I've thought about this company. Actually worked for them for a year or two on and off.
I can honestly say I'm really surprised this company is still in business.
The owner Montny Quentin Allen craves power over others but when things don't go his way he turns into a person looking for a friend until it changes again.
Can't really blame the man for being who he is if you want to take that chance and get to know him. But there's no respect for his employees at all.
I got into a wreck while on duty and yes it was my fault because I re-ended another vehicl. But being a man all about the money and power he never carried full coverage insurance on any of his drivers or vehicles. Just the basic liability.
The words from his mouth trying to tell me I owed him for the truck and wreck just very selfish, very greed, very negative because he is cheap when it comes to spending.
I will say that him and his family took me in for some time to help me get back on my feet which I was grateful for, only just to have the agreement we talked about not honored and the fact he would walk right into the room I was paying 180 a week for when I was naked or not and continue on the power pride little fits he has.
After I bought this house I own I almost called them up to possibly use LYL service because the actual workers are all Hispanic and they cherish their work but knowing what I know of the owner and his wife and having worked for them I couldn't take that chance. People don't change.
Hope I am wrong and the company changed for the better for the customer instead of the way I remember but I never saw any changes for the better.

We have been using LYL for over 20 years at two different houses. Monty and his crew do a bang up job in seasonal lawn & tree care and especially in landscaping. Our current residence had the original landscaping in front yard from 1998 and was seriously bad. Time for a make-over. Monty came to the rescue surveyed the property and quickly came up with a design and price estimate. He had his designer create a colored map which we used to get HOA approval. The total job took 4 guys 10 days to complete but it was well worth it. Monty was present to supervise a great deal to keep the project on time and on budget. If you get landscape work done pay by check as he reduces the total cost since he doesn't have to pay the credit card fees. If your landscaping involves lighting Monty will install less the electrical connection. He then has his electrical sub-contractor contact you to make the hook up. LYL will also install/modify existing sprinkler systems to fit the new landscape work.

This company is amazing!!! They are so careful in hanging art and so precise, too. They even fixed one of my doors that wouldn’t close on my credenza! I will use them for ALL future handyman needs. Thank you!!!!

They are professional and responsible. They know what they are doing, and their price is reasonable. If I have some plumbing problem later (even though I don't want to have it), I'll call them back. Already recommended to my friend in Frisco.
