They advertise $99 special well all I got was more quotes for more money and the tech did not clean chimney unless I spent $400 more dollars so be clear from the start

These guys run a scam, last Monday took the whole day off, they were no show and no call. I called them and lady said he got busy and didn’t make it so they put me first on list today. Guess what no show again. I called and lady said no ur on for tomorrow. Nope not playing your game anymore. Cost me a whole day of work and to boot the lady just hung up on me. Be advised

I contacted this company through Facebook. They gave me a date to be here. Then I got a messaged saying another date. They canceled that date and asked me if I could do another date. This all happened through Facebook messenger and I have snaps of it all. The last messaged said they would not come out after because I was too far. But why would they say they would in the first place. Cause I asked and they said yes they service our area. Then after sending me a message that they weren’t coming out they blocked me. Very in professional!!! I never sent a rude message to them.

Meny was the best! He rebuilt our chimney, replaced inside of fireplace and the doors. He was so nice and the hardest worker. I was amazed he even cleaned up everything. My husband and I highly recommend Meny.

I felt confident in the hands of The Texan Chimney Sweep. Their technicians were skilled and went above and beyond to ensure my chimney was in great condition.

Once Maydan arrived, he got his guys working. The cleaning took about 10mins. My fireplace is clean. I can't say whether or not inside my chimney is clean because I can't see the inside but I trust that they did what they promised.

So why the 3 stars?
1. Communication: Texan Chimney sent txt msgs to communicate the appt and when the tech is on the way, but never provided a time. I received a txt msg that the tech is on the way, but Maydan and his crew didn't arrive 2.5 hrs later. I called and left a msg to make sure they did not arrive at the wrong house because my house # is blocked by a tree, an info I provided when I txt back to Texan Chimney.

2. Selling tactic: Man, Maydan is good at selling. He started giving me all the things that could go wrong and need to be repaired based on his experience. I let him do what he needed to do. However, I felt rush to make a decision to pay almost $800 for a 30 minute repair (8x more than I anticipated to pay). I would imagine the profit is not great if most people would only simply want cleaning ($99), but the extra services that Maydan is selling. So I understand the need to sell more services. However, I felt rush and that this is purely getting me to buy the extra services.

At the end, I recommend Texan Chimney for a quick service. However, I would not use Texan Chimney again based on the reasons above.

The guys were on time and left no mess in the living room. Very happy with the service.

DO NOT USE! I have tried to have them come fix the issue they created and they keep giving me the same “the manager is not in” however on Saturday I spoke to a Brianna, and after further speaking to someone else discovered she is the manager. We paid over 5K to this company and they won’t simply send a tech out to see if it’s a new issue or due to the work they did. Way to lose a customer and I will expose the company. After the repair it caused my house to have “smoke” in it. Please do not use them!

We got our chimney sweep done finally and wow it was needed, so much dirt came out. happy we called them.
