Another electrician who was unavailable to help me recommended Hill Electric to handle THAT DAY an issue I had in an occupied rental. They were professional in every aspect of their business and I will use them again.

Hill Electric has done work for me twice. Once on a rental property I own and the second on my house. I will never hire them again. The job I'm writing about is for a shower remodel for the home we purchased. To start, when i asked for an estimate to be sent to me, the project manager I was assigned to never sent it to me. During the initial phone calls when I asked for an estimate, I emailed the light specifications to him also. This was a month and a half prior to work being started because. I purchased new construction light cans because he said the cans would need to be new construction for this job. Never heard back from him. I called the PM and spoke to him about the estimate and the light cans. He gave me a rough dollar figure over the phone and claimed he sent over the estimate. He also said the cans would be fine. Come to find out he never looked at the light cans and I didn't even see an estimate till a week before the second appointment when he texted me a picture of a printed paper estimate. When it was time to install the guys showed up and said I had the wrong cans even though I set them to the PM for review. They said that they could only install after the hardy backer was up cause the lights actually lay on the backer board. They talked to the PM and we all agreed they would install the cans after the backer was up. When I mentioned I sent the specs to the PM he claimed he never got an email. I looked in my email. Gave him the date I sent it. No response, not even a "my bad". They also did not bring a dimmer switch that was scheduled for install that day too. After about 10 minutes of work they left. After I had the backer board installed a different guy came out and the electrician said he couldn't install the cans cause there were joists and he didn't know how far apart they were cause he couldnt see due to the backer board. He said the cans should have been installed before the backer was put up. I explained everything from the beginning telling him his PM and the previous electrician recommened we move forward and they could cut holes and fit the light fixtures in after the backer was up. I said if they were not going to do the installation today I'd just cancel the order seeing as I never received an estimate or signed an agreement. He said he could install them and because I needed the work done for tile guys coming on Monday I let him do it. Mistake. He shaved the ceiling joists to fit the cans. He never asked if he could or asked where the joists connect. Seeing as he already took the liberty before I found out i let him finish the install. When it was time to pay I brought the issue up about the joists and my concerns. I told him I felt more comfortable paying after speaking with someone cause of him shaving the joists and how that was a result of the miss-management of this simple project. He started being rude and condescending because of my concerns. Saying I just wanted to get out of paying and what did I think was gonna happen, "Is your house gonna fall down." That is when it escalated into a shouting and cursing match on my lawn. I paid him to get him and the "expletive" company out of my house and life. This was a simple project and was messed up from day one cause every member of their team didn't care about the job. Even the first job they did for me at our rental property has some issues of lights being wired to the wrong switch. I know the only reason that went ok is cause I forced them to pull permits and so their work had to pass City inspection. I will never use this company again and I know it's my fault for trusting them again even though I was initially apprehensive about it. I have done both big and small projects with them, with a little over a year a part for each project and there is no change in their service. I should have listened to my gut. Nothing explains this level of miss-managemiss and unprofessionalism other than just a total lack of respect for their clients.

David and Sebastian were extremely professional. They explained the repairs thoroughly and cleaned everything up before they left. They inspected the indoor and outdoor panels, GFIs (which were intermittently popping), replaced a receptacle that had burned up, installed a new light fixture and replaced the outdoor flood lights. I would use Hill Electric again.

Great service and professionalism. David did an amazing job and explained what happened clearly and eased my stress and worry that this wiring issue was now resolved. Definitely recommend and will call for additional electrical needs in the future.

I had Hill Electric come out to find some electric lines in my front yard. They were recommended by another company. The tech, Eric, came out as scheduled, got right to work, and easily found the power lines we were looking for. Eric was courteous, friendly, and professional. I would definitely recommend Hill Electric for your electrical needs.

Absolutely the best customer service! They installed our solar array, which was a pretty big project. Their work is beautiful and their crews are neat and tidy. Just recently one of my locations took a tornado hit in Alamo Heights. They brought us temporary power, babysat the machine for us and cleaned up the electrical damage caused by the storm. This company provides epic customer service!

The two gentlemen endured tedious, long work in order to install my outside security camera, and they did so graciously, thoroughly, and courteously. They were very patient with my numerous, repetitive questions. I will definitely call Hill Electric for future needs.

I was so disappointed with the lack of customer service after my friend raved at what a great experience she had had with them. I called to set up getting a bid/ estimate for work I needed done, and the receptionist or whoever answered the phone was unable to do that (my husband and I thought that was odd to have someone answering phone who can't schedule anything). She said the manager was on the phone but could he call me back shortly. Sure, no problem! Being on a time crunch (trying to coordinate electric work before a ceiling repair got closed up), I was surprised to not have been called back over an hour later and decided to call again. This time, the same receptionist sounded annoyed that I had called reminding me she had taken down my name and number... I reminded her it had been over an hour and was simply checking whether the manager (Albert, I think) was off the phone or not. She was able to get him on the line, and it was like talking to non-committal cardboard. He simply stated that if/ when he had someone in my area within the next day or so, they would come out. I didn't hold my breath for same day service, but thought surely someone would be able to squeeze me into their schedule. Well, I'm writing this review to tell you that after my initial call a week ago, no one bothered to call me back or come out to bid... and the project is done. I will be relating my experience to my friend and letting others know NOT to go with Hill Electric.

I've used Hill for my home and when we were building up our business. Every time they have come out, they've been really nice and helpful. recently had a breaker go out in our home on a Saturday morning, and couldn't get ahold of the original company that installed it to come out. We called Hill, they pulled a guy off a larger job to get us taken care of, and they had the job completed within an hour after calling to set up the appointment. They are the ONLY company we'll call for an electrician. Thanks guys!

I had a new service to replace my old one. My house is an older home. The estimator arrived as scheduled. We discussed our needs with him. He was careful to ensure the clarity of his recommendations and the manner of approaching our needs as well as costs. Several weeks later his team arrived, again, as scheduled. They completed the work in short order coordinating with the city inspector and CPS. This company does excellent work and gave me the best estimate of their work from a list of others I had contacted. In addition to the work they performed in replacing my service, they also accomplished some other work that also passed city inspection from the outset. If you want "quality" work coupled with "reasonable" prices, I highly recommend Hill Electric. Ask for "Mike". He was my estimator. Maybe you can't get them the same day, but you can't beat the service. William Due.

Amazing people! Had an issue with a dryer outlet in my apartment. Less than 45 minutes later, Carlos (and I’m assuming his young apprentice) came. Very friendly, very professional people. It was so neat watching him teach the younger one, and they fixed the issue! Now I can do laundry (wooo said no one)

Hill Electric did an excellent job installing our fixture and the extra outlets we requested. The 2 employees who came to do the job were super friendly and polite, and communicated very well, even explaining how to used the new remotes and programming the timers. Bonus... They even vacuumed the area after the installation.

David and his team were recommended to install the electrical components of a whole house generator. This was my first experience with Hill Electric, but I will certainly use them going forward for any electrical needs. David was extremely professional - he addressed the scope of the work that was to be performed, gave me accurate and simple estimates (which were very fair). Throughout the process, the crews showed up on time, they worked diligently and their work was clean (obvious they take pride in their work).

I did have one item that needed attention after the job was complete and they came right back, without hesitation, and tightened up a small component.

I want to thank Hill Electric for the 5 star service they are providing to our small business. We are putting together a kitchen for our Commercial Kitchen and they are on it. We had a very short window to put this project together and they are making it happen. A hick up came along with a concrete wall and they found a safe and cost effective way to get it done. Very professional and respectful licensed electrical technicians. Excellent prizes and customer service.
