Great selection of soil, pavers, river rock, mulch, and friendly service!

Ordered grass last week for delivery Saturday, a week later, and get an email, not a call, saying they might not deliver it because it's only two pallets, not a big enough order, although we are only two miles away, and we're did pay the delivery fee. No calls, nothing, on the delivery day. We had to drive over there to find out we weren't significant enough of an order. We used to be, before they became more established at this location.

Best friendliest service in town and they’re very efficient on their getting you in and out with your load of materials. I use them 95% of the time.

Ordered Stadium Zyosia from this company. Reasonable price for excellent, fresh grass. Delivery fee also reasonable and driver was very professional and courteous.

If I could give zero starts I would, I dont know who owns this place but needs to pay attention to their customer service. As a business owner myself this is something that truly matters to me.
This review goes to the hispanic male in the front office not only is he rude but he lacks of manners, this type of people shouldn't be allowed in this job position!

We purchased 2 loads of top soil from them. The first load we were told would be delivered between 8am and 12pm, but was not delivered until almost 4pm. I had to call several times to see what the delay was and kept getting BS answers and promised return calls were not made except for one. We had purchased 5 yards of screened top soul but it was everything but screened, it had huge clumps of dirt, tree roots, large pieces of twigs, lots of rocks, big pieces of black and blue plastic sheets, candy wrappers and straws. Like a fool I went back and ordered 4 more yards and complained about the quality of the SCREENED and was told they had no control of the quality of soil they sell and was told they don't screen so why are they advertising and selling screened soil when it isn't.
I then asked when the 2nd load would be delivered and was told they couldn't give a time frame when 2 weeks before they did. This is very poor customer service and false advertising at best!!

This place is great! Owners and employees are super nice. They treat everyone with respect and are aways looking out for the customer with respect to spending money. If they can save you money, the will tell you. We came in to buy grass by the piece and when we asked for a large amount they told us we were paying way too much. They ended up saving us money. Thank you!

I had a customer that purchased 7 pallets of st. Augustine from this company two weeks ago and had them deliver it to the house so we could lay it down. The sod was full and the best I have seen in a very long time. My parents needed sod for their personal property which is Bandera and 1604. I decided to go with this company because I had figured we would get the same great grass. Highly mistaken. They gave me two pallets of grass that were no where near two full pallets. I had even mentioned to the manager that they both DO NOT look like good full pallets. He had told me “well they have been sitting here for three days”. I’ve been laying grass down for over 12 years and I knew that was complete BS. He had also mentioned “this is how they came off of the trucks”. If they were like that coming off of the trucks he would not have taken them. Completely unacceptable. Most likely they had people pull pieces from what was supposed to be reserved pallet for their own taking. And yes out of two pallets we only had 600 sq ft. So we were most definitely short. They had reimbursed me for 1/2 a pallet. I had made the drive from Bandera and 1604 to this location just because of the great sod from before. But to be given those two BS pallets was ridiculous. I will most definitely NOT be going back to this company. I will from now on refer my customers back over to dells grass farm.

Not a good experience! After 3 weeks I am still waiting for my sod. I have called 4 times and visited the place personally 3 times and each time assured it would be ready for pick up. I bought and paid for a half pallet of sod. The night before pick up, someone from another one of their locations called and said they wouldn't have it for 3 more days. Again being assured it would be ready. After three days I was told they don't sell half pallets of sod. I asked why did they sell me a half pallet then? That question could not be answered. But I was assured by their main office that they'd make it right. Well 2 weeks later and they haven't done a thing.

Ok I had to update my previous post. Though it took some time the company did in fact make it right with me. They refunded my money, gave me a full pallet of sod instead of a half pallet, and talked about rectifying the problem for future customers. So they are doing everything they can. Yes I will do business with them again. Thanks.

Went in for a price quote, was not greeted or given provided info. I walked into am employee playing Jenga at the front desk well another person was yelling at somebody on the phone. Customer service etiquette is low. You’re better off taking your business online or at different location.

Customer service is good. Products are great, If your not sure about something walk the yard and see for yourself. If you dont see something your after, ask and they probably have it at their other location. Delivery fees are reasonable but they will load your truck too.

Bought a pre-existing home. The front yard was in horrible condition so we had to replace the entire front and side yard. Called around to many grass places to try and find St. Augustine grass. One place agreed to sell me 15 pallets. We agreed on price and delivery date then they called me back and told me they will not sell it to me because they can make more money selling it by the piece. Thomas Stoke & Materials was the only place, that I found, that was fair on the pricing and was willing to sell me a 15 pallets of grass. Grass was delivered today and was in great condition. Thank you. I would highly recommend this company

Thomas Stone has been outstanding to work with both large & small jobs/service. We've purchased various truckloads of rocks where the driver made a special effort to unload one truck in different spots. Owner helped me select small numbers (10-20) walking stones on several occasions. Of course, I didn't go when they were busy. Owner & employees have always been very helpful in answering question & educating me re our needs over the years. Last purchase in Oct. 2020. A great small business to support.

Excellent service. I bought sod and mulch. The gentleman told me to park so he can load and the wind won’t blow all in our faces. The mulch released dust so it was a good call. They were helpful and gave advice as well as provided a military discount. Thanks,

Bought two pallets of sod this week and they even took the time to split the pallets with the loader. I really appreciated the fact that they didn't get frustrated about splitting the pallets for me and loading them into my truck throughout the morning. The St. Augustine I bought from them was excellent quality and when he split the pallet with the forks, there was only one or two damaged pieces. He offered to give me a few undamaged pieces, but I didn't think that was necessary since I was still able to use the broken pieces. I would definitely recommend this place for your landscaping needs!

Best service Ive had when it comes to material loading

I hired someone to do some work for me. He went to Thomas Stone to pick up 2 yards of top soil. They loaded base material onto his trailer and when he told them that wasn't going to work they said that is our screened top soil. It was garbage material not suited for my project. He asked if they would unload it, but they said their loader was too busy so my 60 year old "hand" was forced to manually shovel 2 yards off of his trailer alone. He then went to Gardenville and got exactly what we needed. See the pictures of the rocky garbage loaded on his trailer compared to the stuff we picked up from Gardenville. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend going to Thomas Stone.

It’s very tough to find a great landscaper who is also consistent, on time, and fairly priced. Mike and his team have been mowing my lawn and providing other landscaping services for our property for many years. They have been truly awesome. Highly recommend for all your landscaping needs! Mike is also very friendly and easy to work with. He has a true passion for his craft.

The specialist was very helpful and knowledgeable about my lawn today. He shared some very valuable information about how I should approach taking care of the grass going forward. Thank you very much!

They came today and punctured my water line and said the manager would take care of it today. They left before 3pm. Nobody came or called us back. Apparently, we are supposed to keep the water off or let the gushing continue. Will be canceling our service after they repair their damage. If they dont show up in the morning, I will be sending them my water bill and plumbing bill. Unsatisfactory customer service. Do not recommend this company.
