I called the Garden Center to inquire about purchasing an oak tree and I spoke to Dustin he was very courteous and knowledgeable. Great customer service. Top notch! Will definitely be purchasing more trees from them.

Absolutely recommend this place. This was my first time and it was worth it. Very friendly employees, great selection and prices and very helpful and knowledgeable on plants. Answered every question I asked about my new Palm!!

Nice place with friendly staff, the price is good. Hot as hell out but there plants still look good, must be doing something right.

Love this place!! I’ve been coming here for years!! Staff is very helpful and cordial. I definitely recommend for all of your garden needs.

Friendly staff and plenty of selection, great delivery and planting options

I’ll admit that The Garden Center has beautiful and high quality plants, but never rely on the staff or even the managers for plant or gardening related knowledge, they know nothing. The staff is uneducated about various common Texas plants and trees, and they have given me inaccurate information. Their inventory is good but a bit overpriced, but I certainly wouldn’t trust their plant and tree related knowledge because they have none.

This is a cute garden center with a large selection of plants. They have tons of houseplants, outdoor plants, garden veggies and herbs and even trees. Definitely stop by the inside of the store to visit with the Koi fish.

The Garden Center is a fantastic family owned nursery. You can find anything you are looking for to spruce up your yard. The prices are great and the staff is amazing especially the owner Wayne.

Would have loved to give 5 stars but the customer service prevented/
discouraged me from purchasing more from this cool nursery. The woman who checked us out was in a terrible mood. She was rude and verbally complaining about other customers to us. She was bad enough that we just wanted to get out of there ASAP. -
Such a beautiful selection of plants and fun yard art! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you so much for helping me select the best plants for my project. Looking forward to coming back soon!

I love The Garden Center! I was desperate to find a business to help me plant new trees. I had been searching for a while and came across The Garden Center. When I first called I spoke with Jacqueline who is so kind and very helpful.
When I went to visit in person to pick out my trees, everyone was so nice and helpful.
They have so many trees and plants and more! Go visit them! -
We frequent the Garden center for native plants and seasonal items. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, which is a must since we are new to gardening in Texas. Selection is great and we love to just walk around since the grounds are so beautifully kept.

I love The Garden Center!
I have come to update my review. I have now been a customer for over a year and I will NEVER go to another garden center (like the one down the road) again! I went in today and not only did they have ALL the SAWS water saver plants, they even helped me find things I needed. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and helpful. They have a great selection, MUCH better prices than most other nurseries in town (they can beat the big box stores most of the time), but most importantly to me: they are NICE TO ME!
That may seem silly, but I have gone to quite a few garden centers and seem to be ignored, dismissed, or given the worst directions to find something I want. Not here, and that is why I am a customer for life.
Pros:
inexpensive
variety
friendly staff
Cons:
Not really any name brand nursery plants like Proven Winners
Some plants aren't labeled at all "annual basket" isn't really telling on care or cultural practice -
This is the place to go!!! Everything was so loved and taken care of beyond what you expect! If I have questions they’re who I am asking! If you want quality and care this is where you go!

This is my favorite nursery, and my go to for anything I need for my garden. The people are hardworking and friendly. Not like Rainbow where everyone looks like they hate their lives.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden garden center. It was a pleasure to see and that the entire staff was so helpful and nice. An employee named Cassie was helping me along the way with each plant and where to find them. I highly recommend.

We purchased 5 Arizona Sapphire Cypress trees recently, we had full intention of purchasing another tree from the evergreen family but were told this specific hybrid tree was best for “The Stone Oak Environment”. The trees were planted in rich, lush soil, the trees were watered 2 times (3 times if it rained) per week. When the trees began to brown we naturally assumed they were in shock. We patiently waited, tested the soil to be sure it wasn’t dry, mulch was placed in the boxes around the trees (not the trunk), etc. all was good. How could these “drought tolerant” trees die? When I called the store to voice my concerns I was met with the poorest customer service. I was told to take pictures (I did) I also took a video and cut clippings from each tree. My husband was told the trees were watered too much. After waiting a week for the general manager to contact my husband he decided they weren’t watered enough. There are 2 store employees stating too much water, another stating they weren’t watered enough, then came the classic…they were planted on an incline so they obviously aren’t going to survive an incline. Aren’t mountains sloped? I just finished another intellectual (NOT) conversation with the angry “owner” Wayne. According to Wayne, “one the product leaves the store there are no guarantees.” BE WARNED SAN ANTONIO. Read reviews before visiting a business, I wish I did. Most describe this Wayne as a jerk and customer service as poor. I will dispute the charge with the credit card company and will likely seek legal recourse. What a shame- they will pay more in legal fees than the cost of the trees.
The landscaping at our home is lush- if we didn’t water everything would be dead. Also, wouldn’t the trees die in the same time span? I’m glad I took dated pictures. Document everything if you have issues with this nursery. DPTA laws will work in your favor.
I’m not the only customer who was sold dying foliage- see pic below. Beware!!! -
Greatest customer service, Everyone is very friendly very helpful .
Came in not really knowing what I needed and the staff seriously came through.
They took the time to walk me through options, explain the care for each plant,
They were very helpful with my questions
Super patient and friendly the whole time. You can tell they actually care about helping people.
Left with exactly what I needed and some solid advice too. -
The staff is very friendly, and they gave me tips for the plants that I bought. They have a huge selection of plants so if you’re looking for something specific, chances are they’ll have it. There were very few people there when I went so it was a very relaxing experience and that also made the staff feel more attentive. Highly recommend.

Beautiful tranquil shady oasis... Great place to go for ideas and mature healthy plants of all types and habitats. Everything is clearly labeled and beautifully arranged. And best of all the prices are reasonable 👌🏼 👏
