(03-30-19). My wife and I went to ask about grass that will grow in the shade. I was told the grss would need at least 4 hours of sun. We have a big oak tree in the front yard so we cutting it down! J/K my would kill me lol. We walked around and it's a big place with tons of flowers and trees. I love the trees here. I took some pictures to share with yall. I.hsve nothing bad to say about the place. They've just about everything you need to start your garden. If you're board you can walk around and check out the place. It's very nice. Plus this spot has a Pokemon Gym!

Don't assume this nursery staff know more than you do. They are largely sales people and can be quite ignorant about plants.
They put "Pierce's Disease Resistant!" on the labels for many of their grapes that are actually not Pierce's Disease resistant. Misled by their label, I bought a Reliance grape 3 years ago; this grape started showing typical Pierce's disease symptoms this summer.
It is such an irony: in their "Pierce's Disease Resistant!" statement, the nursery claimed "Common Thomson Seedless and Concord grapes will always succumb to Pierce's and should not be planted." Against their own recommendation, the nursery is actually selling Concord grapes next to this statement!
Don't trust the information provided by this nursery, as they can be outright wrong or misleading. Do your own homework and research. -
Great selection of plants and trees. Bought a calamansi tree in late spring and it's growing strong.

Pretty big garden with good selection of plants , herbs , decor , bird feeder . I got Cuban Oregon which I couldn’t find any where near my place, and also a flowering plant , they were selling ladybugs 🐞, praying mantis, some more garden friendly insects too , not sure about the pricing whether I paid higher or nominal . Prices were according to size of the pot .

They do have a huge selection of plants but way overpriced! I spent $60+ for 3 small spots. I left and went to HEB+ instead, and found all the indoor plants (cheaper) I needed. Would not recommend and not coming back!

New to town. Absolutely gorgeous nursery. Great variety. Prices seem really good, not that I've shopped around this area. Staff very helpful and available. I've already signed up for a class

beautiful place! the people on staff were so kind, will be back next time i’m in town!

Been coming here since I was little, and I can honestly say this the best nursery you'll ever visit.
Tons of butterflies flood in every spring, always great customer service, and great prices on all their plants🥰
I literally go here every paycheck just to pick up some more of their itty bitties💜 -
I want to give some very positive feedback on your employee by the name of Brant who works in the back. I normally only go to your nursery a couple of times a year because we live more than an hour away. On a recent trip, Brant helped me go through all of your statuary pieces and helped me select a very nice granite bench (as well as multiple other smaller pieces). I didn’t have room that day to get all of the statuary in one trip, so I came back a week later and he single handedly made sure I could get it into my truck (it was about 450 pounds). The two of us managed to get it on a pallet and he politely refused any credit for his very hard work! If I had a couple of employees as dependable and hard working as Brant, I’d be a millionaire!! Give that man a raise!

I LOVE Rainbow Gardens. I have been coming to the Bandera location for over 9 years. I love their large grounds and plant choices. Their inventory is huge and you can find plants that you do not see in other nurseries. I LOVE their decor shop and farie garden accessories, but most of all, I LOVE the customer service I get every time I visit this wonderful place. Everyone is always so helpful. Ms. Claire Bellows is such a nice young lady, always with a smile and pleasant attitude at the Register. She has helped me several times assisting with the many plant questions I have. And I appreciate her help. Check out this place, you will not be disappointed!

Really cool place lots of variety of plants

They grade a very large variety of plants, shrubs, trees, planters, and garden accessories for all of your green thumb (or non-green thrumb) growers!! The staff was also very helpful!! They also offer tree and plant planting for a fee. There is also a vendor from Potent selling fresh strawberries and jam. As well as a honey vendor and a Fredericksburg peach vendor when they are in season.

•I didn't realize this place was so big!
•There was a wide variety of plants and I was so tickled to see them all. They had everything I needed to make my terrarium and I bought an extra plant just-because.
• I found 2 employees that were able to help me & they were so sweet and helpful. There was a long line for the outside registers (Saturday afternoon) but the line went very quickly. They were really hustling to get customers out in a timely fashion. Super nice!
•This is my new go-to for all my plant needs ❤️🌱 -
They have a huge variety of plants, trees, pots, and anything else having to do with your yard. It will take you at least an hour to just walk through it all. We were stopped by staff multiple times asking if we needed any help.

I recommend this place to everyone because I have been a customer of this place for many years.
You can find any trees, flowers, Herbs and seeds here.
Be sure to visit the beautiful atmosphere of this place.
Of course, I gave one less star because the customer service did not behave properly during the last three times I went to this place and some of the staff are rude . -
Been coming here since I was a kid . Such a beautiful nursery. Huge improvements lately ever since Claire became manager. Love this place!!!

Great huge selection of plants, garden decorations and more. Came here to get the ingredients I needed to make a succulent terrarium. Left happy with the little plants and rocks. Definitely a better choice than Home Depot or Walmart garden centers. Will be back soon!

This is the bigger of the 2 Rainbow Gardens in San Antonio.
They had a beautiful variety as well as some plants that I haven't really seen anywhere else.
I found an Angel wings plant ! I've been wanting one for awhile. It's a beautiful all white plant. They have a nice clean bathroom there.
So many carts for use and so much to see. It's hot outside so stay hydrated babies!
Angel wings $14
White Mermaid Tail $23
Begonia $6
They had the biggest bag of Fox Farms Ocean mix I've ever seen! For a decent price too.
Will be returning ! -
I love wandering around the gardens, and inevitably end up bringing something home with me. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, lots of selection, and happy plants. They have a restroom and water fountains, so I can spend quite a bit of time here when the weather is nice. Don't pass this place up if you're looking for cacti and succulents!

My favorite store, wonderful staff and amazing inventory. I love finding rare plants like philodendron Florida beauty.

Edit: I have visited both locations now and while their inventory is expansive, and they'll have just about everything, the customer service is always lacking. Often employees are chatting happily and when you approach theyll address you coarsely and blankly. They are not friendly at check out either even when you are paying them. If employees want to have personal conversations with other customers they should at least not make everyone else feel like a bother. It's very off putting despite how beautiful both locations are.
Beautiful, huge selection and everyone is very friendly. Don't miss any sale section, full of good stuff.
