Newsome was great at helping us out at our job site in New Braunfels. They planted sod, shrubs, and trees. They also did the irrigation system. Everything turned out great and they are also very easy to get a hold of. Highly recommend using them.

Newsome Systems recently completed irrigation and outdoor lighting services, and I couldn’t be happier! Their team was professional, punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable. They designed a custom irrigation system that keeps my lawn lush and healthy while saving water, and the outdoor lighting they installed transformed my backyard into a stunning nighttime oasis. The attention to detail and quality of work were top-notch, and their customer service was exceptional—always quick to answer questions and offer helpful advice. They also installed a mosquito misting system, which has helped cut back tremendously on my mosquito population. I am now able to enjoy my back patio without getting eaten alive by mosquitos. If you’re looking to elevate your outdoor space, Newsome Systems is the way to go! Highly recommend for anyone wanting reliable, high-quality irrigation and lighting solutions.

My foster father hired this company to help him fix his leaky roof and he was scammed out of thousands of dollars and left with a still leaking roof. The level of unprofessionalism this company has displayed towards people who don’t have knowledge in construction is a borderline con. DO NOT do business here unless you want to be given the run around by incompetent handymen. These people should be in jail!

David looks at my pics and explained the procedure to remove my burglar bars before he came out. He was on time and wasted no time accomplishing the task. There was no damage to my home and it was exactly what I needed. I will use them again.

We have used these guys for a long time and they have always helped us tremendously. Everything from Electrical work to Plumbing, drywall work and framing work have all been done professionally and efficiently. Will definitely keep using these guys.

Andy came on time and blew us away with his great professional demeanor and talent! He got right to work on changing out a door for a doggie door, which we thought he would have to change the door swing. Not at all, he worked some magic on the hinges, so the swing matches the screen door, which we thought would have to come off. He also went to Lowe’s and picked up a security door for the front door. He also repaired the front door itself which would not close properly. A previous handyman worked on the same door, for over an hour, said he fixed it, yet the dogs got out the front door later because it was NOT fixed!!! Andy took care of that immediately again working his magic and know-how! NOW it locks properly because of his brilliance. Alamo City Handymen is the fifth handyman company we called. The first three were no-shows and the fourth was quite the bi-polar dud.

So to get Andy was somewhat the miracle for us! To find some company to not only answer the phone and to return our calls, but to actually show up, on time AND get the jobs done in such a professional manner is such a relief, finally. Andy and this company, Alamo City Handymen, have my greatest appreciation and my highest recommendation.

We had some old 70s wainscoting and paneling removed in our home and the areas retextured for a more modern look. The work was done well & very timely. Dave communicated well through the entire process, and gave a heads up with any unforeseen issues that arose. Very happy with the output and will look to use them again in the future!
